Okay i'm rewatching the Anime and i startet wondering.. they say that the office of forty-six Job is to punish and ophold the law when a Shinigami breaks it. Is that their only / was that their only funktion. it seems to be ít's quite a big fuss to make out of having a council that is so isolated and so "top secret" just to judge how to punish a shinigami if he have been bad lol :P. If you can when you answer please don't include to many spoilers from the Manga :) not even read past where the story is in the anime. but im getting there hehe.

Cenral 46, you mean? They may have some other responsobilities...we just don't know they yet. And everyone there got slaughtered, so they might not restart it for a while.

And hmm. okay.. hehe im just trying to figure the whole soul soceity structure and "chain" of command out. and i really don't know where to place "office of forty-six" i mean are they the "supreme" commanders or is it the Leader of First division there is the "surpeme" commander

The 1st div. captain is probably the main guy, but the central 46 is the foundation, the main building block, of SS.

i believe in the vibes data book they revealed that there was a "king" that ruled over SS, as well as a different branch who's name escapes me at the moment.

I think Cenral 46 sort of governed what happens SS and they send out the orders to kill the hollows. So yeah I think they were pretty much like the government of exsistance in a way.

And on a side note, awesome sig prophecy424. I've been planning of making a Gaara sig for a while, but that one's awesome.

Central 46 is the legislative branch of the Soul Society.

The Gotei 13 are probably of executive branch or the defense... something like that.

I think that besides giving out the jobs and punishments they did something else as well. They said something about the archives being down there, so obviously they had something to do with that.

Archives are always protected... and secluded. Much the same as the Vatican Archive and other governmental files...

Room 46 seems to be the parliament or senate of SS, while there is a ceremonial "king".

As for supreme commander, I believe that it is said that Yamamoto, aka captain of first division, is the supreme commander of the Gotei 13, which holds all of the shinigami. In other words, he commands only the shinigami, and doesn't make any decisions towards politics.

SS is like a Government, I think we are yet to find out who controls it (well, he's/she's dead anyway)... and also who is the supreme commander of the SS? or is it jst C46?
Yamamoto is most likely to jst be like the Minister of Defence/War...
I think this thread will be more suitable in Bleach General Talk, dont you think so?
