Text question

N00B question here:

For text, how do you color like the background? I want to do more with my text like add lines and boxes and stuff, but i dunno how. I thought it was a simple edit > fill, but apparently you can't fill text layer.

To do that you have to rasterize the text layer. Right-click on it and from the menu select 'rasterize'.
If you do that though, you won't be able to change your text (type something else), so I suggest you duplicate the text layer (right-click > duplicate layer) before rasterizing it, and hide the original text by clicking the 'eye' icon on the left, just in case.

Like todor said, rasterizing the text makes the text like a regular layer to where u can go and do stuff to it. BUT make sure to make a duplicate and hide it so u have a back up incase u mess up
