This is a fight between Rukia and Orihime for Ichigo.
None of this in this thread:

My Opinon:

Rukia can pwn her with kidou by breaking her shield fairies, then use her shikai to make orihime freeze then use the flame kidou technique

Well of course Rukia will win lol Orihime has little to no fighting experience whatsoever, and her abilities are hardly called a fighting Technique. While Rukia herself has about fifty years of training, a Shikai, Kidou, and a freaking sword to slice through the shield lol. She has no chance.

Rukia hands down. She's way more experienced that Orihime. She can also use kido, and has shikai. Without a doubt, she would own Orihime.
Orihime is also weak and her technique isn't very strong.

Rukia will win, but she'll have some trouble cutting the shield. However, even though I am an Orihime fan, I tell ye all, Rukia will win, because she has a killing instinct that Inoue lacks. Plus, for the moment, Rukia is stronger. Inoue is yet to show us any growth in terms of battle strength.

Well, since Orihime doesn't like fighting 'n is afraid of hurting other ppl, this fight should be over in no time cuz Rukia won't have problems with the issues
'n yeah, more experience 'n stuff too so Rukia > Orihime here

Of Course Rukia will win.We can't really put these two in a fight expicially since both of them have two different roles to play:
Rukia=Fighter
Orihime=Healer
So the fight would be biased from the start (unless your trying to make another RUKIA PWNS ALL and ORIHIME SCKS thread) and there will be no reason for it.

Why must there be a fight in the first place? I mean, it's so unbalanced to begin with, it's like having a potato-peeler and a chef compete in a culinary competition. :P

Fight for Ichigo, eh??
In that case I should say that Rukia may win the fight, but it's Orihime who would win the battle. Orihime would get Ichigo ultimately.
Imagine what Ichigo would do if strong, volatile, offensive Rukia beat up poor, fragile, refused-to-lift-a-finger Orihime??
I really would love to see what Ichigo would do to Rukia. We all know what Ichigo did to Hirako for 'molesting' Orihime.
Sometimes, retreating / refusing to fight with pride is one method in winning a war effectively. Sun Tzu said, the best general is the man who win it without using too much of force.
But if Orihime and Rukia really were to fight, without involving Ichigo, I still can see Orihime as a winner. In terms of martial arts, Inoue is still much better than Rukia. She learnt from the master and is very active in sports. Rukia is agile because of her size, but she doesn't have the stamina compared to Orihime.
And as for Orihime's shield......if it can withstand the thing that chased the Ichigo-ikkou when they entered Soul Society, it can withstand anytime Rukia's 'cheap firepower' kidou.
And as for Rukia's so-called beautiful shikai......HHHHAAAAHHHH.....it only mobilizes its victims.....that's all. Orihime....if she really reverts to black Orihime, she can use her Ayame and Shunao to manipulate time and space on Rukia. Anyone for old and wrinkle Rukia / or baby Rukia? Or disfiguered and dismembered Rukia? She can just increase the time / manipulate space to the point everything in Rukia just disjointed and separated.

Rukia would win. She is much more experienced than Orihime and can used kidou as well. Also Orihime is not very experienced in a battle situation (she is not made for battle basically). Rukia wouldn't hesitate in battle like Orihime as well.
I seriously doubt they'd fight each other though, even for Ichigo (even though I doubt that would ever happen as well).

i dont really no rukia's shikai... b/c i dont read manga... but i do think rukia could beat orihime. the shield could hold rukia off for a lil while, but rukia is agile and could definitely get around the shield and kill orihime from behind or use kidou. remember the shield only blocks one direction, so that's 3 other directions rukia can attack from... and if rukia gets in close quarters with orihime rukia could destroy her. orihime is a more defense/heal person, and tsubaki isn't as strong as a 3-5th seat shinigami yet... so yea...
again i dont read manga... so dont shoot me if i said something thats changed in the manga.

a blackbelt in martial arts, thats a good accomplishment, but i no offense but my friend is a blackbelt in tae kwon doe and the football player could easily beat him up... now im pretty sure a rukia with a sword could beat orihime's black belt abilities.

Wrong, ishida would come out of nowhere and grab inoue from ichigo, while ichigo goes with rukia
Xiao_Mei
04-05-2006, 04:22 AM
At first, I just picked Rukia.
Why? Because she has an obvious advantage combat wise in knowledge and her speed. Not to mention, since her Shikai goes from the ground to the sky, it's very hard to evade when it's initiated, and Orihime has no outstanding speed stats... nor any other melee stats. At best, she can put up a shield to block some attacks aimed at one direction. And Rukia also has an array of Kidou Art knowledge, which include binding. She could easily bind Orihime (as underhanded as that sounds) and strike from there.
...But than I rethought about it, reminding myself of Orihime's offensive strength. She has Tsubaki, who is pretty fast and can be deadly. So I think if Orihime were to use Tsubaki, than if acted like a Draw! match (with guns and bullets, like in those old cowboy movies), Orihime would win. In fact, I'd even say there was a likely chance of simultaneous loss, if Rukia were to strike first and Tsubaki sent when Rukia was wide open.
But I really can't see Rukia fighting against Orihime unless she already has Ichigo's attention... and I can't see Orihime fighting if Ichigo has already chosen Rukia.
I'm probably just overthinking :p

Due to what I have seen (even in the intro) a sword of even a vice captin can not slice through Olihime's shiled. The shield, however can easally be walked around. Olihime can not keep up with Rukia's speed. She has no Desire to Kill, so Tsubaki would be of no consiquence to Rukia. In other words she could only delay, but never stop Rukia.
I think, Rukia will win. Because Orihime's skill is not enough to fight with Rukia.Rukia has many spells and has shikai too!

Rukia wins just because she's a shinigami and Inoue loses coz she's just a girl who uses fairy powers...
HitsuOri
04-05-2006, 07:12 PM
No, jadeb.....I don't hate Rukia. I hate Ichigo
That is why I am very supportive of RukiaxIchigo. Being the biggest Orihime fan, I have always advocated HitsugayaxOrihime more than IchigoxRukia.
But that's another part of the tale.
The fact that this is introduced by an anti-Inoue fan who simply thinks that Orihime is useless and weak therefore Rukia wins.....what do you think, should Orihime be always branded the loser here??
Let me see....Rukia is an unseated shinigami. Inoue whacked two shinigamis (none is said whether they are seated/unseated shinigami) with her karate skills. So what does it show?? That if Inoue and Rukia were to fight with each other without any zanpakutou / fairies powers, Inoue can easily take down Rukia. Face it, Rukia depended too much on her kidou skills and her sword. There is nothing to indicate that she (Rukia) can do martial arts that well.
As for the dismembering / blowing Rukia into teeny, minny pieces is possible.
Think it like this.....when a piece of meat is placed into the water, and the water is boiled.....the energy is transferred from the water into the meat in a form of heat and kinectic wave. Each atoms in the meat would rattle against each other with so much of movement and due to the frequency of the water outside....that the atoms would split from each other and the meat breaks.
What about in the outer space. A person would just go splat if he is in the outer space without the appropriate clothings. Imagine how it must be if Orihime were to remove air around Rukia??
If Orihime really gets angry, I would think she would be able to defeat Rukia. She is considered the top student of the school and Rukia is the last student in the school. And you have to admit. Orihime is very creative. I wouldn't be surprise if she uses Tsubaki and Hinagiku, Lily and Byagon together in a surprised offensive and defensive attack.

So, what's so good about Rukia's spirit presurre, if it can't do anything good??
Remember....Grimmjaw just dismissed hers as weak one, not worth of a fight.
Orihime detected Ichigo's reiatsu even with Haachi's barrier on. What does it show??
That Orihime and Ichigo are soul mates or Orihime's reiatsu are stronger than Rukia's??

I think that Rukia would win for a number of reasons:
1. Inoue has bo desire to fight whatsoever and doesnt like to see people in pain let alone hurt then ESPECIALLY when its one of her friends
2. Rukia has many different techniques to use on Inoue
Thats all i can think of right now might be back for more.

Someone says that Orihime is Kubo Tite's favourite character. I don't think Kubo Tite wants Orihime to be beaten easily by Rukia. Who knows, Kubo Tite makes Orihime wins. After all Kubo Tite is the creator of Orihime and Rukia.
And even if Rukia wins, she's going to lose Ichigo to Orihime. ^___^
Good idea to let Rukia fight with Orihime!!!!!!

im so confused. is this a fight like who ichigo likes most... or is it just a fight... OR are they duking it out FOR ichigo's heart...
if they're fighting, then im positive rukia can win. even though orihime improved her attacking with tsubaki, rukia is a vice captain level shinigami, and even if she could attack rukia, then rukia could still attack her back. sure her shield can block a lot of things, but there are still three other sides that orihime is vulnerable then... so yea...

Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure that if Rukia got out of her gigai and fought Orihime squarely Rukia would win. And even in her gigai I would think she'd win...
I mean, she's lived how many years more than orihime? She's already gotten a most of her powers down and mastered while Orihime still hasn't realized the potential in her power. Also...
Rukia has shikai already. It probably wouldn't be hard to beat her

Even if she has one which is beautiful one......it's still useless one compared to other shikais the shinigamis have. It shows that looks doesn't matter. It's the power that it packs.
She's still useless when it comes to power.

But you are disregarding Inoue's defensive powers. Thinking about it, I think I've made a mistake in thinking that Rukia would win.
After all, Inoue's shield is supposedly enough to block an attack that is about Shikai level of power, and not once. Besides, she can use her other shield (the healing one) to keep healing herself until Rukia's powers are diminished, and then, when Rukia collapses, Inoue is the victor.... because she is the las (wo)man standing.
Also, so many people are thinking that because Rukia has Shikai, and it is the most beautiful of all (stated by one person, and we don't know how much does this person knows), she wins. So what if it looks good? If it can't hurt the opponent, it's useless.

Rukia is just a poor excuse of a shinigami. Seriously. Even in the beginning, she couldn't even detect the hollows who are about to attack Ichigo.
Her kidous are just like Orihime's Tsubaki which are direct frontal attack without any damages/injuries. And she can attack one time with one incantation. Tsubaki can moves in different directions, which meant...if Tsubaki were given a free rein, he could attack Rukia in many different angles in a short time. And also remember.....Rukia doesn't have any barrier shield to protect herself.
But I still think the one thing Orihime has which are better than Rukia. Brains. Orihime has more brains and creativity to disengage Rukia easily. Orihime is one of the top student in the school, while Rukia is the last. Forget about killing intentions. Once Orihime is serious enough to realize that Rukia isn't giving her chance, she can take down Rukia with just using what she has around them.
Orihime took down two shinigamis. And that's without any killing intention in her, mind you.
If Orihime faces Rukia in a fight and Orihime refuses to fight, Matsumoto and Hitsugaya would be gladly to interfere.

MatsumotoxOrihime is nice though.
It is very clear that the reason why Inoue cannot win the fight because not that she lacks power, but she doesn't have in her heart to hurt anyone. This is certainly not fair.
That is why I include Hitsugaya and Matsumoto. I think they would not hesitate to react accordingly if they see strong-headed, offensive Rukia fighting with gentle and pacifist Orihime. Not only Ichigo, I think Matsumoto and Hitsugaya would be furious to see things like that.
It may be that I am an HitsugayaxOrihime fan, but I don't think Hitsugaya and Matsumoto would be pleased to see their 'houseowner' and 'benefactor' being bullied and beaten for the sake of a boy by an unseated shinigami.
MatsumotoxOrihime are quite a nice pair, you know.......littie_sta. Imagine the kind of powers they can gather just by being together starked naked in a hot water spring bath. Imagine how many boys would love to kill Rukia just to see them like that.
Hitsugaya:: -_-;;; You are tainting Orihime's innocence with Matsumoto.
Me:: Why let it be wasted?? If you have it and it's beautiful, why don't use it fully?? Especially if it's against your rival?? Orihime's rival does have it, doesn't she?
lol... the answer to this question is way too obvious. Orihime cant even lay a finger on Rukia, Rukia pwns her

We've seen Orihime's shield crumble way to many times and yet to see it reform immediately after doing so. So I'm not too sure her shield would be that great in a one on one fight. And as for healing herself over and over, to take a beating and still have the stamina to heal yourself.... that's a big ask, isn't it?

Orihime is one of the top student in the school, while Rukia is the last. Forget about killing intentions. Once Orihime is serious enough to realize that Rukia isn't giving her chance, she can take down Rukia with just using what she has around them.
Orihime took down two shinigamis. And that's without any killing intention in her, mind you.
If Orihime faces Rukia in a fight and Orihime refuses to fight, Matsumoto and Hitsugaya would be gladly to interfere.
And in addition to that, the instant Ichigo realizes Inoue is in danger, he will go berserk on Rukia... resulting in an orgy consisting of Rukia, Ichigo, Inoue, Matsumoto and Hitsugaya all trying to get the upper postion... erm, hand.

Her shield seems to have gotten broken pretty much each time she's used it in a battle.
Err.. I don't think he would go "berserk" on her. I imagine he would react the same if Rukia was attacking Inoue and vice versa.

her shield isn't that strong... i forgot wut episode but its 70 something but inoue's shield broke only after like two hits. and even if rukia couldn't break it... ever think that she could go around the shield and then kill orihime. rukia is really good at hadou (i think that's wut she said) if she can use her full power. u forget that she's still recovering her powers... so yea... and orihime's attacking abilities are pretty weak compared to rukia so im pretty sure rukia could beat her.
and hitsuori, wut u said about rukia not being able to detect the hollow that attacked ichigo's family in episode 1. that was because ichigo like i forgot the exact explanation but ichigo's aura blocked it or masked it or something.

Firstly, allow me to remind you that Inoue shield broke in the fillers after two hits. In the Manga, it hasn't broken even after a strike that is pretty much equal to Shikai+ power, and that is something.
Secondly, Inoue can change the shield's direction easily, which means that going around it isn't an option either.
Thirdly, Rukia may be good at Hadou, but that is still useless against Inoue's shield, besides, Rukia can only fire Hadou in a straight line, and she can't use Shunpo, which would mean that Inoue has to block one direction only, and Rukia can't break through.
Fourthly, Inoue's attacking ability isn't weak. What she lacks is destructive instinct (the "resolve to cut your opponent"), and Rukia, although she doesn't have it either, is still trained to cut her opponents, whereas Inoue is nothing like that. However, Orihime's attaking ability is far superior to that of Rukia. It can easily change directions and attack from more sides, pkus it is small and agile, so dodging Rukia's attacks would be plain easy for Tsubaki.
And finally, since Inoue is destined to marry Ichigo, she can't lose to some tiny *****, right? (fan.... THINKING!!!)

I still don't know why this thread has been kept alive, but wth.
Rukia, apart from being what she is, got trained by one of the best sources. She was a students who rapidly rose to the ranks and made it to the top. As for age, she is quite older then Inoue, which makes up in experience and battle knowledge. In the other hand you have a 15 y/o girl who has never killed anything in her life and is quite afraid of her own power. (as measly as it is). Sure Inoue's force and power are 100% relied on her carebear fairies, but that comes as a tool of war. Much like Rukia and her Zanpaktou.
To further progress in this redundant babble, Rukia would only need to shikai poor lil' inoue. Since we don't know what Rukias Shikai is, this is all left up to assumption. Anyways, My money is on Kuchiki all the way. Always has been, always will be.

Who is stronger?? Ishida or Rukia??
Certainly Ishida.
Yet Ishida is afraid of making Orihime angry, lest he gets beaten by mad and angry Orihime.
And when Orihime beaten the two shinigamis, she didn't even need any reiatsu to defeat them.
Not that I am saying Rukia's reiatsu is powerful (in fact, it's quite weak compared to Orihime) but Orihime doesn't need to depend on her reiatsu to defeat Rukia. She indeed is agile and strong-willed compared to Rukia.
That is also one point which Orihime is good at and that is perseverance. She would never say no/give up easily in anything that involves Ichigo. (like her fight with Yami, she was determined to stand in front of Chad and Tatsuki and fight because she doesn't want Ichigo to be bothered by little petty stuffs; she would have been killed if Ichigo didn't step in). Rukia......"Run Ichigo. Aacckk" (gutted in the stomach by Grimmjaw).

Hey Roku, you read the manga? We do know Rukia's Shikai...
And more, Rukia rose to the top thanks to her adoption by the Kuchiki, she never took the exams to enter a division (and very few succed in those), so hjer rising was partially shortcut.
Anyway, Roku, if your money's on Rukia, then mine is on Orihime. Shall we conduct the battle and see which one of us hits the jackpot? :D

Don't you think it's contradicting?? Rukia was able to detect a mere plus ghost next to Ichigo and not a BIG HOLLOW from far?? Let's say Ichigo's spiritual reiatsu is high. Shouldn't it be able to mask the plus ghost that is near?? And it wouldn't be able to block hollow since IT'S SO FAR AWAY!!!!
I believe (in the manga) Rukia herself admitted that she was weak. You shouldn't blame Ichigo for Rukia's weakness in the early chapters. She had always been weak. And even after SS arc, when she regained back her shinigami powers, she was still WEAK!!! Forget her fight with the weakest arrancars, she couldn't even detect Ichigo's MASS(high) reiatsu.
Of course you can always use the excuse that Rukia isn't the main character....that is why she is not being able to detect Ichigo's reiatsu.
That is not what I wanted to say....but I just wanted to reply your post anyway.
The very thing I want to say is to continue what I said about Orihime's perseverance. During the fight between Ichigo and Byakuya, Orihime refused to move from her place, despite the heavy violent reiatsus with killing intents that could have easily crushed her down.
Rukia.....she was practically paralyzed and trembled with just Aizen's mere presence. And mind you.....Aizen wasn't even in his bankai mode like Ichigo and Byakuya who unleashed their bankai mode during their fight (which Orihime waited patiently).
Now, if there is really a fight for Ichigo, Orihime is going to win it all because she has perseverance and love. If she really loves Ichigo that much, I don't think she would ever want to give up the fight. Together with her perseverance and her love, she would win the fight well. And her fairies powers....now Orihime doesn't need to say the words to bring them out. Her fairies are working without her words. Which means her shield can just emerge anywhere and anytime without even her asking it. And her Tsubaki....that black grouchy fairy...just give him the free rein...if Tsubaki knows that his mistress is being bullied by someone just because that someone has a beautiful sword....Orihime doesn't need any killing intents....that black guy needs to go for anger management classes. He would just go to and fro, right and left, front and back, vice versa, up and down, dismembering Rukia into many pieces (I mean....politely putting many shields in between Rukia's body).
It would be then Rukia who needs Ichigo's saving from Inoue, when angry and furious Tsubaki is let loose.

Secondly, Inoue can change the shield's direction easily, which means that going around it isn't an option either.
Well, I only read the manga and I don't recall her using her shield consecutively.
Inoue could win if she at least had some better spells.. and had to intent to harm.
HitsuOri... Yes, Inoue didn't want to be weak and have to bother Ichigo, she she stood up to Yami. But it's not Rukia was gonna run away from Grimmjaw either (not as far as I interpretted it), she just told Ichi to run away for his own sake, to save himself. I didn't think she was worried bout his (lack of) power level but more worried bout him losing control if he went pass his limit.
Err.. Orihime does have love but she's already admitted defeat to Rukia for Ichigo... So I don't think she would even fight, let alone go all out.

ok now im lost. b/c i dont read manga... i do no some things that happen but not much...
i dont recall orihime being able to reposition her shield...
and hitsuori, aizen's power level. is WAY FARTHER than byakaya and ichigo. of course rukia'll tremble. especially because she didn't get her power back.
again i dont read manga. but from wut i've seen tsubaki is still pretty weak...

hey chiriyuku....I am saying that Inoue doesn't need to call her protective shield anymore. It just comes automatically to protect herself. The Mayuri humanbomb, the time when she fell down to the ground, her shield protected her as she fell. She said 'Arigatou' to herself....which meant that she was thanking her fairies for making the move first, setting up the shield.
So automatically her fairies are reacting more independently now.
It would be silly, you know for Rukia to cry out to Ichigo to run away while she stays behind....don't you think?? OF COURSE SHE PLANS TO RUN AWAY ALSO, but couldn't since she has been.....GJed??
And even if she did (cry to Ichigo to run away while she stays behind for Grimmjaw (GJ)) wouldn't she be taking her zanpakutou and attack GJ fast?? She didn't do that, did she??
Conclusion:: Rukia chickened out when she saw GJ coming and sensed GJ's reiatsu/spiritual power.
The fact is this:: Orihime stood her ground and attacked with whatever she got, because she wanted to help Ichigo by not bothering him. Despite the enemy being many times stronger than her.
That is why I also said that if Orihime really loves him to the point that she cannot bear living without him, she will win over Rukia. As for now, I don't think Orihime has that much love or dependence on Ichigo, to the point that she was not willing to let go of him. Orihime wants Ichigo to be happy. And if Ichigo being happy means being with Rukia, Orihime would be gladly do so.
Smallkid....
Are you saying that bankai Byakuya is weak compared to shikai Aizen?? And bankai Ichigo with his unleashed Hollow is weak compared to shikai Aizen?? Now all the power put up together by bankai Byakuya and bankai Ichigo together with his hollow cannot be measured by Aizen's shikai??
Aizen was just a shinigami. He wanted more power than what his shinigami powers could offer.
Remember also....Aizen was just smiling at Rukia only. He was still restraining himself and didn't go all out against poor Rukia. He didn't have that much of killing intents Byakuya and Ichigo had when fighting with each other.

Errr... I don't think there's no evidence to support that. We know that Orihime has the ability to call forth her fairies without any VERBAL incantations but I serverely doubt her powers are that automatic/independent. And as for her thankyou... She could be thanking herself for having the power to save that Maki-Maki guy.
I don't think that's silly at all. She wanted to protect Ichigo. I mean... if you're gonna get into a dangerous fight, you wouldn't want the person you're meant to be protecting hanging around coz it would put them at risk. And i personally think she didn't have any intentions of running away. Think of her fight against DeeRoy, she got her soul-candy-self to take Ichigo away from the battle scene but she herself didn't run away. Instead she whooped the guy (too easily).
Maybe she didnt' have time. Grimmjaw is a high level ancarrar after all, his speed level is most likely higher than hers.
As for your conclusion.. when she first sensed GJ's powers, she didn't suddenly run off. So you can't say she chickened out..

dude, its obvious. Orihime would win, and then lose. Orihime's tightass fairy-dude would take Rukia down by himself. Unfortunately, Ichigo's feelings are for Rukia. He will intervene and take Orihime down. Then ride off into the sunset with Rukia. DUH!
PS I am just rooting for Orihime because no one else is. Rukia would probably win.

Orihime would not win since rukia would just walk arount the shield or hit the fairies with he shikai, then when ichigo see them , he wouldn't stop the fight since he can't decide.
