Favorite Pairings in Bleach

My favorite by far in Bleach would have to be UraharaxIchigo, as weird as that sounds to some, I think it works! I also like ChadxIchigo and IshidaxIchigo as well.

I'm sure myself and many others want to know what pairings in Bleach you all like , so it doesn't matter whether it's yaoi, yuri, or het, just post what you like best! ^___^

Raij: The only reason why some people don't like Ichigo/Orihime pairing is b/c it's clearly one-sided deal. There's no mutual 'chemistry' between them. In Orihime's part, yeah, BUT in Ichigo, I highly doubt it. But, you have the right to choose your favorite pairing, just like I have the right to choose mine. So, who am I to argue w/ your taste *shrug*

Anyway, I'm more into the traditional pairing myself...

1) Ichigo/Rukia (it's pretty obvious there's 'mutual' affections there. They protect & save each other. They worried about each other's well-being. It takes two to tango & they have that connection)

2) Hitsugaya/Hinamori (cute pairing. I just hope they survive *cross fingers for luck*)

3) Ishida/Orihime (have tons in common (smart, sewing club, living alone, air-borned powers, lost someone they love (yeah, Ichigo also lost somebody, but he blames himself for it. It's the same way w/ Rukia). Big surprise from recent chapters...Ishida seem to be developing a 'liking' for Orihime).

4) Renji/Rukia (definitely just friendship or family. Renji might have a crush or something, but it's clear Rukia doesn't feel the same. She's constantly thinking about Ichigo while she was in prison. Renji visits her, but he couldn't get any reaction out of her, until he mentions Ichigo's name. Hanatarou told Ichigo that all Rukia can talk about is him. So, draw your own conclusions).

But they don't seem to be that "mutual" either. There's some real protectionist stuff going Ichigo->Rukia but the two of them seem to be oblivious to it being anything more. Rinrin picks up on it (in her jealousy, as Cloud pointed out) and Ichigo was all "oh, how could she think it's like that, she's misunderstanding us" but Rukia was like "WTF is everyone talking about?".
The Orihime x Ichigo thing is a little more practical at least. If we think ahead to the end of Bleach, what's going to happen? Rukia and the rest of the Shinigami go back to Soul Society, Ichigo and his friends go back to their high school lives. There can't be a Rukia x Ichigo setup when one's a spirit in a fake body and the other is a human. But then, Ichigo's dad having been a shinigami in the human world the whole time kinda throws a wrench in this theory.
2) Hitsugaya/Hinamori (cute pairing. I just hope they survive *cross fingers for luck*)
Except they go waaay back together, more of a brother/sister thing. I think a Masumoto/Hitsugaya match-up is better. Put the "boy wonder" with the Amazonia rack.:Haha

This is the only mention of it and it's never heard about since then. I think it's one of those "way in the past" thing that will hopefully get picked up later on (oooo, can you say "surprise cameo character"?)

The only other possibility is that when she says "child" she is referring to herself and her own emotional inexperience, but Gin's wearing his captain's robes in the flashback, so I can't imagine it being that far in the past. Masumoto looks younger in the manga version of the scene than the anime version, though.

See the whole problem with some of the younger looking shinigami, is that we sometimes don't know their true age... And I'm not quite sure how mature their bodies are in terms of sexual activity... lol. So could Hitsugaya even have sex if he wanted? Or for that matter, I haven't really seen much talk about sex among shinigami in soul society. Its obvious that humans have sex... but can shinigami? And if they do, does it produce off-spring?

Regardless, Hitsugaya cares deeply about Hinamori, even if its just a friendship (even if its similar to sibling interaction)... so who's to say there couldn't be more?

Well, I am pretty sure that Hinamori is older then Hitsugaya. In an earlier episode he was a small child sitting on a porch eating like 20 watermelons, and she was bigger/older then him atm (so shes obviously older then he is still). With that being said, I would assume Hinamori would be of "legal age" by the real..real world standards.

Lol, the whole sex thing in soul society... that is a very good question. If you ask me, I would say it is very possible. I am even willing to bet Matsumoto has proven that it is very well a possibility (shes such a $lu7). Reproduction though is something I've wondered about myself.

I guess the point I was trying to make is this. For someone to be no bigger then a child (Hitsugaya on the porch eating his watermelon), for them to grow to 1.5x to 2x their size in heighth (or weight.. depends on the character I guess) would mean that their age would have to increase as well. If the aging process in soul society is significantly slower then that of the real world, then the time it would take for someone to grow, would be even longer in terms of years, making them older then what their bodys actually portray.

However, actual "sexual maturity" would be a mistery.

The thing is that aging in SS isn't linear like in the real world. I saw this in another post, but I cant find it! :(

For example... some of the backstory in the anime shows Soi Fong when she first came to the Academy and she was training with Yoruichi... Now she looked like she was an early teen, right? But 100 years later when Yoruichi shows up with Ichigo and buddies, Soi Fong only looks like she's aged 10 years or so. Another example- Rukia is like 10x Ichigo's age... So that must mean she's about 150 years old, but she looks about 18-25 right?

My point is that Hitsugaya is probably younger than Hinamori, but there isn't a way to tell without evidence... Also my point- The age differences in Soul Society are so great, but also so vague, that at some point you just have to discard the age differences completely.

1) RangikuXGin: I've always loved this one. There are so many possiblities with these two. Plus there's been enough back story to jump into this from and yet small enough back story to not have anything set in stone.

2) UraharaXYoruichi: Wouldn't they be so sexy together? They seem to have a very "close" relationship already and Yoruichi teases Ichigo about be an inexperienced man. Whom has been experienced in her life? Hmmmm...*cough* Kisuke *cough*?:biggrinlo

Raij: The only reason why some people don't like Ichigo/Orihime pairing is b/c it's clearly one-sided deal. There's no mutual 'chemistry' between them. In Orihime's part, yeah, BUT in Ichigo, I highly doubt it. But, you have the right to choose your favorite pairing, just like I have the right to choose mine. So, who am I to argue w/ your taste *shrug*

Anyway, I'm more into the traditional pairing myself...

1) Ichigo/Rukia (it's pretty obvious there's 'mutual' affections there. They protect & save each other. They worried about each other's well-being. It takes two to tango & they have that connection)

2) Hitsugaya/Hinamori (cute pairing. I just hope they survive *cross fingers for luck*)

3) Ishida/Orihime (have tons in common (smart, sewing club, living alone, air-borned powers, lost someone they love (yeah, Ichigo also lost somebody, but he blames himself for it. It's the same way w/ Rukia). Big surprise from recent chapters...Ishida seem to be developing a 'liking' for Orihime).

4) Renji/Rukia (definitely just friendship or family. Renji might have a crush or something, but it's clear Rukia doesn't feel the same. She's constantly thinking about Ichigo while she was in prison. Renji visits her, but he couldn't get any reaction out of her, until he mentions Ichigo's name. Hanatarou told Ichigo that all Rukia can talk about is him. So, draw your own conclusions).

Considering the many pairings liable to occur in this series (be it through a will of our own), there are three which suit my personal tastes.

The first pair consists of Urahara Kisuke and Shihouin Yoruichi. One in several reasons I am supportive of this union, their camaraderie extends many years, during the time spent in Soul Society. Forming a solid bond then, it is just as strong presently. When Urahara was exiled, Yoruichi assisted in his departure, even at the cost of waiving her prominent status. Now this action took a lot of sacrifice on Yoruichi’s part, as she unselfishly relinquished a luxurious lifestyle, in order to accompany her companion. I believe that is definitely an honorable deed, for how many persons would actually do the same? An attribute of this type, is why I have come to adore this couple. Anytime Urahara requires help, he can trust that Yoruichi will always support him, without a shred of hesitation. Nonetheless, it is Urahara’s peculiar witticism combined with Yoruichi’s elegance, which allows me to enjoy the atmosphere the two create. Besides, they compliment each other perfectly when together.

Next on my list is the unique partnership of Kuchiki Byakuya and Abarai Renji. The gentlemen exist on two different planes all together. Their personal styles are far apart as night and day, a customary trait I appreciate, in couples such as these. The “opposites attract” element is a perfect ingredient, for instance Byakuya’s grandiloquence paired with Renji’s rambunctious nature. And by the same token, those quaint differences are the main focus of this association. There is Renji who admires and deeply respects his superior, yet part of him yearns for defeating the captain. On the other hand, Byakuya also thinks highly of his lieutenant. However, he realizes this goal of somehow being overcome can only go so far. Personally, I think Byakuya uses this to subtlety quiet Renji, but in a humble fashion. In spite of any dissimilarities, both men are known to be obstinate. And that has a tendency to make things rather interesting. But deep within, I honestly believe Byakuya and Renji care for each other, more than they are willing to admit. The only obstacle standing in their way of formally acknowledging this fact, is man’s common foe - pride.

Completing the trio is the kinship of Shihouin Yoruichi and Soifon. In my honest opinion, this coupling is beautiful in so many aspects. It is genuine and pure, coming straight from the heart. Soifon looks up to Yoruichi, not only as her mentor but a soulmate. Whereas the latter, accepts Soifon as one of her reasons for living. The two simply cannot exist without the other. Given the fact, Soifon was born with a firm sense of duty in servitude and protecting Yoruichi. She gave every bit of herself for that purpose. Yoruichi returned this honor, by taking Soifon under her wing and nurturing those gifts. It was these intimate moments, where I strongly feel solidified their relationship. Even so, I gained an understanding how scathing it must have felt for Soifon, after Yoruichi’s sudden defection, to have one’s heart literally torn in half. Albeit, the ladies had their bouts of unresolved tension, but it made their everlasting affection stronger than ever.

Not much into this sorta thing but I think IchiHime is a better fit since Rukia is kinda..... Dead. Rukia would be better off with Renji. Her feelings for Ichigo I feel are more of a longing for her veneration of Shiba Kein. They are not so much 'lovers' as they are partners, brother x sister would be a better interpretation of RukIchi. Also the manga brings out Hime's admiration for Ichi a lot more than the anime. Aside from that...

Urahara x Yoruichi is a great one... though I also like;
Soi Fon x Yoruichi girl on girl action is rarely a bad thing. Another interesting pair which is obviously easily forgotten is;

Non 'romantic' pairings that are nice are;
Shunsui Kyōraku / Jūshirō Ukitake Together took on Yama-jii, nuff said.
Sōsuke Aizen / Gin Ichimaru Maybe an 'evil' pair but they do work well together in a wicked way
Ikkaku Madarame / Yumichika Ayasegawa A strange pair, but great friends and battle ready.

Also a few 'off-beat' pairings I feel worth mentioning;
Ichigo / Zangetsu They are a pair without question, unlike the 'subjigation' of Ogichi, Zangetsu and Ichigo fight willingly side by side. Though few other zanpakutō are seen this pair is probably the greatest/strongest.
Lastly no one can argue this is not the defining couple the most prominent and most important couple to ever grave the pages of Bleach;
Orihime's bewbs!
I kid, I kid! but how about;

and an undoubted couple of;
