This is only the first part. As i write more i will edit it and post it up here. This is my first story so don't expect too much from it. I would appreciate opinions of all sorts both good and bad to help in my future writing. The Title of the story is Shadows.
Chapter 1: The Field Trip
“All must stray from the darkness lest our shadows too become one with the darkness” 1st line of the 1st Book of Shadows.

“Alright everyone on the bus! This is the first Kindergarten field trip of the year and we need everyone to be good.” Yelled out the teacher. It was the first ever kindergarten field trip that year and also the first ever in the school. The 30 child class was all excited to be leaving the school. They all went on the bus three to a seat barely able to sit still. As the last child sat on the bus the driver shut the door. They were not the only class going on a field trip that day. All of the 1st and 2nd grades were going too. A total of 4 buses for the trip. They were headed to the new museum that is part of a remodeled Pagan Temple.
“Wow teacher it’s really big!” said the smallest child. He stood with the rest of the class staring at the magnificent building towering above them. It stood five stories tall with gigantic windows stretching over two stories long. While many were looking at the building itself a few more observant students noticed other oddities. A bald child looked over at the doors, he noticed an inscription on it…“To shadow all return”. A blond haired girl noticed how the windows showed a certain pattern. A brother and his younger sister saw the building and saw how easy it would be to pull off some pranks. A young boy and girl next to each other both saw something dark like a shadow move in the building without seeing it. Others also saw other things throughout the outside of the building.
“Everyone stay in your groups! We don’t want anyone getting lost!”
“Who would do something silly like that?” replied a child.
“You never know, and your parents would be sad if something happened to you, not to mention I would be in a lot of trouble.” “We will all meet back here in one hour OK?”
“Yes teacher,” everyone replied at the same time. With that they had split up to look around the museum. Everyone was split into groups of ten students each with at least one student from every grade. Since the younger students were more abundant the older students were spread out pretty thin.
The museum was filled with ancient artifacts from long lost civilizations. The students would break apart in each room to look at a treasure that they found particularly interesting. There was little control over the groups, as there was little that could be done to stop them from wandering. Besides there was a giant clock that would ring when they were needed to meet. In no time the hour was up and everyone was slowly being pulled back to the main hall. As everyone was starting to fill up into the main lobby, a few of the students took note of the giant hanging stone ring above their heads. While many students saw the ring an even fewer amount saw what was above it.
A slow moving shadow. It had no definite form to be able to identify it. The children weren’t scared of it for some reason. They watched it move around the cables. Then they did fear it. A sudden wave of fear enveloped them as they watched its work being done. They didn’t yet realize what it was doing, but they knew it was not good. They couldn’t move or speak to warn the other children of this moving shadow. They watched in horror as the ring came down on the class crushing the students and causing the lobby to shake as debris started to fall down. All but ten children were crushed. Those left alive were those who had seen the shadow. The shadow had seen them too. It made its way off of the ceiling and onto the floor.
The children now able to move looked around for help. They were all alone in a sea of bodies. But one child caught sight of a weird door colored in an odd light that wasn’t any particular color at all. Taking comfort in the light he ran towards it. The other children followed suit.
As they opened the door they saw a city unlike any they have ever seen. Its buildings towering over the nearby mountains, odd creatures flying in between buildings. Thousands of people walking the streets. An amazing city by any standards was on the other side of the door. As they stood staring the shadow moved closer. When they noticed it was a foot away from the nearest child. Just then a large piece of the building’s roof fell and pushed the children into the door to the new world.

Chapter 2: Shadow world
“All whom the Shadow binds with it shall find its power” 1st line of the 2nd book of Shadows.
“What happened here? Why are there children unconscious in the Academy hall?”
“Children unconscious in the hall? Impossible!”
“Then explain these!” the man showed the other a group of children lying on a large sofa.
“I thought you said they were in the hall?”
“We moved them you idiot! We can’t have children lying in the middle of the floor!”
“What is this noise about children on the floor?” asked an old man who seemed to glide through the wall of a doorless room.
“Sir! We um… found them in the hall when a shadow portal appeared Sir!”. “Though it is impossible for ones so young to have gone through it”
“Except when a tragic circumstance has occurred before their eyes or...”
“With the presence of a rouge shadow,” the other man whispered. “But what are the odds of any of those things happening to some little kids?”
“The same odds as some little kids falling through a shadow portal into our Academy.”
“Put them in their respective dorms until I meet with the rest of the Academy council.”
“Yes Sir!” they quickly faded into the wall with the children in their arms.
The children slowly started to wake up. Looking around at the new room they were in. They had absolutely no recollection of what had happened to them prior to entering this world. As far as they were concerned they were in an odd bunk room with no doors. “How did we get in here?” asked the oldest child in the room.
“I have called this meeting of the Academy council to bring u the topic of the new children who arrived here earlier today.” “I have scanned and erased their memories, What I have found is quite interesting.”
“This is not a time to be talking of little children’s memories Azure Shadow!”
“I agree with the Crimson Shadow, we must prioritize our defenses to make sure this never happens again.”
“Velvet Shadow you are missing the big picture, our defenses are some of the best in the Shadow world. How could ten children come here let alone through a Shadow Portal?”
“As I was saying, what I found was quite interesting. How they were able to use the Shadow portal was quite unfortunate. They were witnesses of the murders of over 50 of their classmates in the real world.” “The cause of the deaths…a rouge shadow.”
“A rouge shadow!? Impossible!” “Never has one been released in over 1000 years, and death has not occurred in over 1500 years!”
“But it did indeed happen none the less, but I believe Azure has something more to say to us on this shadow.”
“Yes, it seems it attacked in a remodeled Shadow temple, releasing the restraints on the ring of Shadow killing the class.”
“How could the children have survived the ring?”
“I was getting to that, all of them…are Ka-Mir.” {Ka-Mir being a specialist in a certain field of Shadow arts unique to themselves}
“Ka-Mir! One hasn’t shown itself in over 1000 years! Let alone 8 at the same time!”
“ten actually”
“ten? Didn’t we only recover eight?”
“yes, but it seems two have been cut loose during the transportation, and I am afraid that they may have been recovered by the Shadow Brotherhood.” “As we all know, they too are monitoring the travel between worlds, I believe that they might have been planning this for some time, but I doubt they knew of so many Ka-Mir in one place otherwise they would have taken them all”
“I see, so what do you suggest we do Azure?”
“Simple, teach them here until they can fight on their own.”
“Would that be wise keeping them here? What if the brotherhood finds out?”
“It is inevitable for them to find out, but they will not attack when we have the advantage”
“then I agree we should let them stay to learn, but do not tell them what they are until they are ready.”
“Agreed”
“But what specifically do we know of the children in our care?”
“Their names only” “The 1st child is Sakamoto Taiki male, the 2nd child is Hara Masahiro male, the 3rd child is Hara, Miharu female and younger sister of Masahiro, the 4th child is Ishimaru, Shun male, the 5th child is Yoshikuni, Kazuko female, the 6th child is Shimizu, Michiyo female, the 7th child is Yamashita, Masahiro male, and the 8th child is Oguri, Kumiko female”
“We have already placed them in the boy’s and the girl’s dorms.”
“Do they know how to Shadow Slide yet?”
“No but tomorrow I will begin their introduction to the shadow world.”
“On their graduation we shall tell them of what they are so that they will be prepared”
"Shall we be admiting them in the standard way?"
"No, I believe I will give a personal introduction this time, I mean how often to we get 8 of the best shadow users in one place?"

Chapter 3: Shadow World

“Providing shadow world’s safety since 10,000BC” Inscription on the doors into the Shadow Academy.

As the children all sat in their rooms waiting for something to happen a figure moved through the wall into their rooms.

-Boys’ dorm room-
“Hello! Don’t be frightened” said the old man in some odd blue cloths who just came into the boys’ room.
“Wow! How did you do that?!” asked a boy with brown hair.
“What? You aren’t even a little frightened?”
“Not really, you had to do it somehow didn’t you?”
“I guess that’s right Taiki”
“How did you know my name?”
“Easy because you enrolled in the Academy today”
“Since when?” asked the boy with black hair sensing some mischief.
“Yeah when did we come here? I don’t remember,” added the bald child.
“Since you arrived here Masahiro and you don’t remember because you fell and lost your memories Shun”
“Makes sense to me,” replied Taiki.
“What!?! Since when would anyone believe that?” asked Shun.
“Well if it is free then I don’t care,” replied Masahiro.
“Once accepted into the Academy everything is paid for until your graduation after your exams” “And after your exams we will help you with joining the organization of your choice”
“Organization?” asked a short boy with blond hair.
“Yes Ibuki there are many different high class organizations out there that will only allow Academy graduates to join”
“Is there money involved?” asked Masahiro.
“That and the honor of being in one of the greatest organizations in Shadow world”
“Works for us”
“Good, now I want to see a little test of what you can do”
“What!!!!!!!!!! What are you going to do???”
“Just send a few little rouge shadows at you, not much”
“Wait just a minute…” just then three small shadows in the shape of some type of wolf came through the wall as the old man disappeared.
“What do we do?!?” one of the wolves went towards shun. Shun managed to run out of the way before it could get him. The second wolf went towards Masahiro. And the third wolf was heading towards Ibuki. Being brave to the point of stupidity he sent a punch at the wolf. It went right through him and he hit the wall. “ouch! Mommy!!” he cried on the floor. Masahiro looked around franticly, Shadows can move why can’t mine? He jumped towards the wall feet first trying to move his shadow to hold him. He landed feet first on the wall and stuck on it. “Hey look I’m on the wall!!!” just then he slipped and fell on his head falling unconscious.
“Hey Masahiro! Wake up!” yelled Shun. When running backwards he ran into the wall. “huh?...” he fell onto the floor. The three shadow wolves turned their attention to Taiki. He has been just standing in the same spot since the beginning looking at the ground. “He he he, foolish boy, move!” said a wolf as it lunged strait for him.
“SHUT UP!” with that Taiki grabbed the wolf’s head in his hand which was covered completely black.
“What is demon is inside you?” asked the wolf in his hand watching the boy still with his head down. He looked up at the wolf. His eyes pitch black.
“Fool! I am the demon!” He slammed the wolf’s head into the floor reducing the body to smoke. He looked at the other two wolves and in two steps had both of their heads in each hand. “Die,” he said in a hoarse whisper. He slammed their heads into the wall reducing them too into smoke too. He stood in the room breathing. He took a huge breath sucking in all of the shadow smoke. Where the wolves were are left small dark crystals. He walked over to them and broke them all. After that he fell unconscious.
“Amazing,” said the old man as he walked into the room. “To think we had one such as him in the academy”

-Girls’ dorm room-
“Why hello there ladies!” said a very thin woman in some weird red cloths.
“Who are you!?” asked all of the young girls.
“Why I am the Crimson shadow, though it would be easier for you young ladies to call me Miss Red”
“Miss Red, how did you get in here when there aren’t any doors to go through?” asked a girl with long black hair.
“why that is easy Kumicko I just”
“How do you think you will get off that easy!!?” yelled a long brown haired girl. Miss Red (MR) then snapped her finger and suddenly the girl was stiff as a pole.
“If you would just listen to your elders you would know why I get off this easy Michiyo”
“Amazing! I want to learn how to do that!” squealed an excited small black haired girl.
“Well I’m getting to that part Miharu”
“Well obviously we have a genius in here,” said a sarcastic blond haired girl. A vein popped on MR’s forehead. She then snapped both fingers and she fell on the floor.
“Well that Kazuko seems to have a few attitude problems but at least you can hear what I’m saying”
“Um MR? you were saying?”
“Oh yes, to get in and out of this room I just used a easy skill called shadow slide, all you have to do is push your shadow in front of you on the wall and walk on through, why don’t you all try? I’ll release the spells” All of the girls tried to walk through the wall. Kazuko made it through and back immediately. Miharu also managed to do it relatively quickly, but instead of returning at the same spot she popped out in front of Kumicko and scared her. Kumicko eventually made it through to the other side but needed help to get back. Michiyo had a lot of trouble and ended up punching the wall.
“Not bad for first years”
“First years?” they all asked.
“Yeah I forgot you lost some of your memories”
“Well anyway welcome to Shadow Academy! Where you will learn all you need to survive in Shadow world! This is a totally free academy for all those accepted, we also help those who graduate get into some of the best organizations around like The Shadow Mages, Shadow Knights, The Hunters, The Narij, and The SMT’s; we are also in one of our segregated dorms, this is the girls dorm the other is for boys, your teaching will be separate until the last year”
“Looks like we don’t have a choice but to go along with this,” said Kazuko.
“You bet that’s right, well anyway your examination will start tomorrow, until then I suggest we go shop for some new cloths for you all”

-In the council room-
“Absolutely amazing, to form materialistic rage in the presence of shadows”
“We can’t forget about that other child who managed to figure out a small part of shadow manipulation, and the other children seem to slowly be able to get the picture here”
“Yes it is quite a bit faster than a normal child, by the way was it a bit too much to send rouge shadow wolves against them unprepared?”
“It turned out fine, plus you have to admit it was very amusing, anyway what is that crazy Crimson Shadow doing with the girls?”
“Shopping” Azure Shadow (AS) fell on the ground.
“She took them… shopping? What is up with her?”
“Ask her yourself”
“Huh?” MR was standing right behind him winding up her fist for a punch. “Wait!! Don’t!!!” She sent him flying into a wall.
“So how was shopping?”
“It was fine, got them a lot of new cloths, anyway we do seem to have some very extraordinary students this year”
“It would seem so”
