Pleas Pleas Help Me The Viris Wont Go!!

I got a big problem i got a virus or trojen or hijacker or SOMTHING. and i cant get rid of it. i have done scans with mcafee and avg free andspybot search and destroy and i think a couple of other programs. but no matter what i do it wot go away. and ever since this has apeared iv been getting pornographic popups and my mom is going to take away my computer if i dont get rid of them. heres a picture of the icon and the bubble it creates and many popups that also urgew me to dowwnload antie viris software.http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/6039/damnviris9ol.png

My advice is:

1. To many things on a desktop can cause slow downs and other things

2. Porno links, pictures and everytihng else casuse your problem. Get rid of most of it if not all of it if you have any.

3. Do you have any sibings? If so they could have done something to it.

And you might have to wipe your comp. If it comes to that :(

Download an antivirus program and a firewall. I use ZoneAlarm and Avast.(you can get the full versions via torrent). Those work the best and keep out my viruses.

you canm reformat using the win XP cd, and yes all your files willl be gone, so save them to a CD before you do it.
and yes pornographic sites can give you a lot of virus, so did you see a lot of them???

it just goes to show that a bit planning before installing windoze is allways good. If you had installed Xp on a different partition now you wouldn't have to worry abt formating...
the only best working solution in the matter is to see which are the infected files and cure them (update your antivir before that) since most viruses are modifications of old viruses...and with the updates that come out it shouldn't be a prob...

Best thing to do is format. Always wise to create another partition to store your backup and important data, or just buy another hard drive. When you perform a full format, not a quick one, best to install anti virus software, I recommend Norton Anti-Virus, always worked great for me. And its best to get the updated defintions as well.

And use Firefox as well. I suggest you should stop visiting crack and porn sites, one of the known sites to get infected with crappy trojans, shitty malware and all that bullshit. Even if you do visit those sites, use Firefox, using IE is a huge risk (Wonder why Microsoft didn't even really bother releasing another service pack for IE6 anyway)

the nature of your problem with pop ups is that it is mostly spyware and adware.
which is surprising that it did not get filtered and removed with the adware removal scan, which is very disturbing, it could also mean one of those spyware has a sticky thing to it, it may have infected your windows root area, which could possibly generate some form of code on your system that is making all this happen, if that is the case, formatting is the only way to go.
To ensure that your format works, pay a little and ask some professional help, or if in the case, there is someone whom you know IRL who is com and tech smart, ask thme for help.

follow the steps and about less than a week your pc would be fixed.
Unless you know how to fix it on your own, this is the only thing i could suggest that doesnt involve any reformatting.

Have you updated your programs and is everything up to date? If it is not then update it and then try and clean it out.
If it does not work then try and find out where the virus/spyware/malware/trojan is stored and delete it manually.
If that does not work then put everything on dvd/cd apart from the file/folder that has the virus/spyware/malware/trojan and then reformat your comp.:headbang:

you could allways use linux :LOL:
no seriosly backup your data on DVDs (come on your HDD can't be that big) and format...
make yourself a 3gb for the windows and all of it's programs, and then split the rest as you like...
the next time something like that happens...just format the windows partition and you're good to go...
keep in mind that WinDoze uses swap which you can't set up in the install (unlike linux) so leave a bit extra on every partition (that's why i said 3gb for windows), cause it allways takes a bit from every partition...(stupid OS IMO...)

its not an anti virus program. it just does not allow certain forms of spyware and tracker cookies to install.

and since most viruses and spyware are embedded in downloads they will by-pass firefox the second you hit accept on a download.

firefox does absolutely nothing to stop key logger programs or Trojans or even viruses and worms the main reason its safer than IE is 90% of tracker cookies and spyware is geared to IE and since firefox has become so popular the spyware developers are now creating specific bugs just for it.

a program is only as safe as its lack of popularity as soon as a program becomes the mainstream the developers attack it firefox will become just as riddled with spyware as IE its only going to take a while longer.

zertech, if you never buy the win XP CD, then you don't have ^_^.
you must buy it first, but i dunno how much it costs.
try this program, go to www.download.com and then go to the spyware section, see the #1 anti spyware, it hink it's called ad aware lavasoft or something. anyway that's very good, i know your one is virus, but it's worth a try.
NOTE: if you play a lot of online games, this might happen, when you play sometimes you get viruses, i think i got trojan too, and i think trojan makes the sound gone in teh game im playing. so far i have reformatted my computer 3 times, so don't play online games a lot.

pm me if you have problems with it and try to get a other virus scanner like norton or others besides macafee. I had troubles with Macafee thats why i recommend other virus programms good luck and if you can put everything on cd's thats impostant so that when yo are done that you have your files

You have to reformat I have had that happen to me a year ago and my comp needed to be reformated and after I will warn you dont download anything you dont trust.

Yep, I suggest reformatting your computer. I had a nasty virus, though I did a full complete scan the virus wouldn't even be eliminated. Had no choice but to perform a full format.

Make sure you update your vius definitions all the time, and don't visit sites that contains trojans, viruses, spyware, etc.

Get AVG or some anti-virus software. Reboot into safe mode and scan and delete the virus that is your computer. If this doesn't work, reformat or take it to geeksquad if you have personal info.
