if you're interested in battles, ninjas, the samurai code, and japanese settings, this series will meet all those requirements! I began reading it last winter, and the first book was EXCELLENT. It was as if I was reading ancient japanese history itself, but with more deeper plots and betrayals.
so, give your opinion below if you've read it, if not... go read it!:biggrinlo

@ josh: oh thanks for pointing that typo out lol :p
and yes I've checked out the author's website site, and apparently, the director of seabisuit and someone else is writing up a script for it, and I can't wait!! XD
there was so much happening in the first book!! takeo being the sole survivor of the hidden, shigeru adopting him and master muto teaching him the way of the tribe XD, and then switching settings to another part of the country, where kaede becomes a rising character.... gahhh it's a great starter :doindadom
Oh! I'm reading this book! I started it a few months ago (gave up because I started some other series), but I liked what I read.
The part about him fooling around in brothels threw me off, though. ._.
But, I guess a samurai's gotta do what a samurai's gotta do. But a movie? Woahh, that sounds nice. Seabiscut was beautifully filmed. I'll be looking forward to that.

I read the whole trilogy. It was very good. Has all the plot you want in a suspensful book complete with history of ancient japan. Has good base of fiction while retaining the main historical aura of Japan.
P.S. for those who wan to know the hidden actually are... Christians!didn't see that one coming, except for the commandments, that kind of helped.

I love the whole trilogy. I've read them about three times I believe.
The third book is called Brilliance of the Moon.

the trilogy has a very strange idea of the tribe but it fits in very well with all the ninja stuf...
