At the very end during Shinigami's Cup, Isshin had the "special" Rice Boiler on him. But according to Rinrin the whole trapped is only triggered by spirit energy. Little filler threw some foreshadowing on us.

If you watch this episode and you've already read the manga you can see plenty of foreshadowing with Keigo (Ichigo's classmate), his sister that he talks about and the Shinigami with the afrow.

I have to say that the best parts of the episode was getting to see Isshin, Karin and Yuzu again. It helped bring Bleach anime back to the past.
I was very interested to see that Keigo could see the Shinigami. It made the anime feel more like the manga for a moment.

well, as far as the afro shinigami, he did say that there a lot of people in this town who can see him, I found that quite interesting.

as for keigo, I really didn't think about him lol, and yea it is nice to see Yuzu, Karin, and Isshin again.

Exactly how i felt about seeing bits and pieces forshadowing the unanimated manga arc. Gave me hope and reminded me that it would be animated sooner or later! :LOL:

true true, but we still have a long way to go until the anime will catch up to the manga. We gat dangerously close for a bit. But that leaves lots of room for cool stuff to happen, and if you are patient like me you can wait and occupy your time with other things (I'm learning Japanese! fear my power to call things a cat or dog!)
Well back to the topic at hand, I did notice it. It made me laugh because he is stupid enough to trigger the trap (as long as you don't think of the manga). I laughed a lot at his misfortune. :p
