i was looking at this forum and i fell asleep.... j/k
but i was thinking, what are the possibilities of skinning this to look like the screen i took from the intro. it doesnt have to be that color scheme but perhaps that logo. i think the site would really benefit from some serious customization in that department.

Interesting idea, although I think it might look more interesting with an image combined with the logo, because to me the logo just simple and sort of plain. But that's just me...>_<"

agreed, but i mean use that as the main logo and styling for the forum. if anyone has the skills and knowledge to skin vBulletin, let me know, i bet you could make this site look as kick ass as it is.

Note: Don't take things that weigh too heavy on the forum.
In my old clan forum we used a picture as a background, a nice skin and all. The result was that the forum became unstable and crashed every 2 days.
On top of that was it impossible to visit it without rebooting at least once.
(Probably because I had a crappy pc back then, it seemed worse to me then to the others.)

thats where the skill comes in. think japanese (haha). there needs to be a realistic balance between simple andn extravagant that we can settle on that can give this site more personality without making it a crash happy POS. i know this is completely unrelated, but look at http://www.club240.com/forums That is just one of 4 of their forums, and while thats more extravagant than we need, its in the direction i think we should go... (no not the cars, the layout customization). i have zero experience skinnig a forum, but im willing to learn on the fly and help anyone who's willing to take on the project.
I dont have experiance with skinning a forum, but isnt it just like skinning a program, replacing presize images with custom ones. Im a photoshop addict so im up for it, i do it for programs all the time.

You can probably run a search for a tutorial or something on skinning forums. I use to do skinning for Ragnarok Online games. But I totally got tired of doing that, so now I just color stuff. >_>"
