Intresting while I really enjoyed the read that was Angels and Demons, I felt that the story in Da Vinci was more to my tastes.

I really think no matter what thou they dropped the ball on which book to make into a movie.

Angels would have made the transfer to the silver screen much better and would have been more in line with your average Hollywood summer movie. More action to keep the fans in the seats.

that is why it is better
Dan Brown gets good storylines
but he cannot write well,
i.e he only knows how to write action
and Angels and Demons had more action
and appeals to more audiences

I kinda of agree with you, but I feel he can write almost anything. I just would wager to guess that most people will prefer the fast pace that is Angels vs. the slow plodding book that is Da Vinci.

I really liked the time he spent on every in Di Vinci.

But I can not argue at all about Angels appealing to a large market. It would have been the first choice for a movie if the Catholic church had not spoken out about Da Vinci.

cool book, lots of suspense and twists, and laughable scenes too, like camerlengo running towards st. peter's tomb, that'd be funny in the movie

If you are going to pick one to read first read Angels and Demons. It's really the faster paced book and it will give you a good feel for Brown's writing style.

*nods* I agree! I was actually disappointed when Da Vinci Code made it to the big screen first. Angels and Demons would make one fantastic and gripping movie, for sure. I wanna see how they will make the antimatter and that aircraft Langdon rode to CERN (I think it was called X-33 or something). And also that hunt to find the Illuminati lair...really cool. ^_^

Let also add in the fact that Angels is mores based on facts then even Di Vinci. Go do some research on CERN and the Illuminati. Brown did his research pretty well wich makes Angels even that much more exciting.

And to be honest I can no longer look at the one dollar bill with out a shiver

Also if you have read the book and want to see what facts I am talking about :

Well of course it is...

The only incorrect fact I think is the way they choose the pope... And the Devil's Advocate is not a person who keeps the Pope's Secrets I guess...I just don't know what it does, but I've read it from somewhere that it's somewhat connected to the Conclave....

About the dollar bill... yeah, I was actually wondering why they chose a pyramid and a floating eye as an image when in the first place it's not an American emblem...turns out it's somehow related to the Illuminati and the Masons...

I've read it after reading the Da Vinci Code. Personally I didn't like it as much, but it was a pretty good book nonetheless. Dan Brown never fails to demonstrate a high level of intellect in his novels and he definitely didn't let his readers down in this one. I would recommned you read it before the Da Vinci code if possible ;).

I read the Da vinci Code first and I personally thought that Angels and Demons was better. I thought it had a better story and a way better ending than the Da Vinci Code.

They're both great books, no doubt about that. Angels and Demons are a bit quicker paced in the action, so that can be more appealing if you like that kind of books.

Brown's writing style is like in every book. He's researched tons of material and presents it to you via the main character. It can be critizism agains the vatican, nsa or anything. You'll learn alot by reading the books, thats for sure.

If i were to pick a favourite between Angels and Demons vs The Da Vinci Code, i would have to pick Angels and Demons. I dont know what it is. Both books contain a side-romantic theme, Vittoria and Robert, Robert and Sophie. Guess the hassassin make's it my choice.

One of my fave books this one... because of the action and the suspense and mystery...and the topic is really interesting too...about the pope and the vatican and all...

I read A n D first and I found it very interesting. The combination of the Iluminati with CERN was awesome. Also the plot of the Camerlengo, it really kept me reading. It took me more time than the average to read because I was working third shift around that time and couldn't keep myself awake enogh to finish it. But I recomend also to read it before The Code. On the code I began to read it but I stop it since I haven't found the time, but it gives you references to the AnD book.

Angels and demons was way better and more interesting than davinci code... to me anyway =D
i guess davinci is famous for its unusual concept
but i really prefer angels and demons... the way dan manipulated the story and it was really sad when he actually realised he killed his own dad...

anyway,it was a nice book =P
