Yea, i have somewhat become addicted to the game and it's becoming really expensive on my wallet.

I made the big mistake and chose the R34 GTR which understears like a bitch, i have developed my own little drifting technique (which my friends told me couldn't be done) and am now able to take corners at akina and akagi quite well.

Meh, i hope other ppl reply, coz next time i get a new card for the game, i'm gonna choose the integra type-R

I suggest in tracks with a lot of windy corners like AKagi and Akina, stay in 4th gear because that is where most of your torque is, and when you are going around all the hairpins shift down into 3rd and back up into 4th. It will prevent you from hitting the wall and it will produce a little bit of drifting action so you can keep a good speed around the corner :D

I havent played in awhile but I used an Evo IV in both ver1-2. I still havent played 3 but I plan on doing it soon. The Skylines arent that good for handling, id say the best car for noobs is the DC2.

The game is fun but I got tired of waiting in the lines. Ipo and Happo are my favorites.

Give the GTR a go, it is the hardest car in the game to use i reckon ;_; because it is a 6 speed it has no real torque in any of the gears.. *wishes he went with a 5 speed Integra =D..

Also, do you guys play with boost disabled? I find in this mode that the GTR (even though its the most powerful car in the game) still is at a disadvantage -_-;; I think it would be best if we could tune our own cars for the tracks in the way WE wanted them tuned, we would be better off.

Nope I never use boost lol, but yeah the skylines are the hardest cars in the game. The Integra is good for your first car but then when you get more experienced the other more experienced players dont like people who use DC2's.

Meh still have 3rd Ver. where I'm at. My favorite cars are FD3S Spirit and DC2. Haven't been playing it in a long time because I'm waiting for 4th Ver. I'm so rusty >.< Its crazy how the chinese people can master the game within a few days...

Theres only one arcade I know of with this game, and then its very very very expensive to play (and always a huge line XPP) But its fun

thats your problem right there. You have GTR in Initial D...which automatically renders you at a disadvantage with any course that has many corners.


I use a DC2....Honda Interga. I'm a Level 13 Racer and have my blue Aura already and i have my own Crew which is Shadou Koutei. Ask your questions if you have more man, i'd be glad to help out.

LOL I'm only level 8. Still not able to beat any of the chinese players... yet. IMO FR transmission cars are easier to handle and 4WD are like hard but I guess its up to the player not the car. FF is also fun to drive but you sometimes lose control when turning a sharp corner.

so you use an FF care to. I actually use both the God Hand technique and that Left-Foot Braking Technique. I've beat a few good ppl...very hard to beat me at happogaharrau....or however you spell it.

Ahh my favorite level. I like driving my DC2 there. I still have to learn how to do the techniques properly.

I play when I can. I play version 3. Use Mazda RX-7 FD. The arcade I play at just took away 2 version 3 machines. I wonder when version 4 will come there?

I've only seen 1 chick play Initial D. she was using an evo, forgot which one. And was trying to beat someone on akina downhill in lots.

Two, only a person who has mastered or highly skilled with misfiring system will be able to beat me in that car downhill. If there is anything that the DC2 actually has...its pure acceration. *only with proper parts installed*
and Three....the moment you see my blue or green aura on my car, your morale about winning will heavily decrease cuz that just means i've whooped alot of ass against other ppl. *well at least thats what the blue aura means*

besides S.S, you use an FR car. You cant be switching like that. If there is any car that can match and rival the evo....its definitely the RX-7. With precise entry timing with drifting...you can beat evo's like they were nothing.

^^ Yeah I figured. Like I said before I have an RX-7 Spirit R but I still haven't mastered it. Does Ver. 4 have the Spirit R? I don't think it does. I really want to find out.

so you uses the Spirit huh...unfortunately RX-7 are extremely difficult to master bc most ppl can control the car. But since you already have been doing your thing and practicing then there is no reason in you using any car out side of FDs.

As far as version 4 goes...most places havent made the switch from V3 to V4 yet...including our arcade. Which is fine bc there is still much for me to master on V3 as it is even at my high level.

your kidding...RX-7s and Evos are the best cars in the game. But the reason why I use a car thats weaker than those cars is simple....bc when I beat you...you have no excuses to why I beat you....I was just the better driver and I feel good knowing that I was able use that type of car against ppl that use RX-7s and Evos. It shows your skills and ppl recognize you for it quick.

Seriously I am damn sure that every time I play against a Chinese, they drive one of the Evos. I'm so sick of it.

LOL....i thought it was a stero-type...but i dont think so anymore. It seems that every damn asian kid that start racing is a freakin pro at Initial D. But this doesnt surprise me seeing as they've have had the game and Arcade system about 4 years longer than any other country. *sighs*....they are extremely good. My Team (Shodou Koutei) went up against another team. I raced against their leader who had a RX-7 FC and it was on my home course (Happo).....and I lost.

I thought about the race for weeks straight telling myself that it was just....not possible for him to beat me there.

What sucks is that when U.S. gets version4 (some states already have them) is that we don't get to play the online mode. I don't like how the cars are so drifty like it drifts too easily.

Well I checked today and my arcade still dosen't have it.

As for online play, not alot of arcades are willing to invest on the online play.

after my defeat I switched to an AP1 which is the Honda S2000. My game vastly improved and as it did...i switch back to my integra. And this is what almost made me fall over. Since I've improved with my S2000, when i went back and did it with the DC2 i noticed i was beating all my preivous records by 10 sec....it was just...strange.

complain....They tried to do the same thing here but I got a bunch of ppl together and told them that we are going to start holding tournaments on the machine. The manager told me if it doesnt go well then we cant keep it. But our plan was a success and we keep it and continued to race. Initial D....to me this is one of the best machine could have.

^^Yes, strongly agree. Initial D is the best, even better than Maximum Tune. Maximum Tune is still overpriced and the drawings make my eyes bleed. I used to think Initial D drawings were ugly until I saw Maximum Tune's. But anyways good, your plan worked out. :)
