The anime con thread

So has anyone been to one this year or will be going to one?

I'm planning on going to the Anime Expo in Anaheim this July. This will be my first time there. I've been to Comic Con a couple times but last time there was hardly any anime related stuff. Hopefully the Anime expo will be pretty big...guess I'll find out in a couple more months.

I've been toying with the idea of going as Ichigo - but since I'm a girl that would be pretty impossible to pull off. I love the outfit though so maybe one of the female shinigami. If I do, I'll post pics.

most peeps are pretty cool - I'm not hardcore at all and I still fit right in.

The star wars fandom on the other hand........yeesh

To tell you the truth I kind of want to go to these anime expo things but it sucks that I don't have the time to do so. I go to school like 7 days a week and work, plus I need to get in my 8-9 hours of FFXI or else I can't go to sleep feeling that I have acomplished something. >_<" I'm a very sad indivudal I know. T_T

This year I will be attending A-Kon and AnimeFest both held in Dallas,TX and am considering possibly going to another con or two in the fall time in the south of texas (either Houston or Austin)

Agreed on that one.
Games and school (read computers, since that's the only class I pay attention to) are my life. I guess I will someday do more stuff but study comes first now.
(There are no expositions here in Belgium. Heck, people here don't even know what Anime is. We see very little series here. Out cartoon network has No anime. We do have the 2000 repetition of DBZ (not even the full series), and stuff like pokemon.)
(Now don't get me wrong, sometimes we get pretty good anime here... But just only once every 15 years)

wow, that's a hole 15 years
mine is ones in a while (every 2 years, hehe)
for the rest there are some people that know about anime and the rest don't care.
we've never had any of the stuff you guys and girls are talking about(cosplay and stuff), so it's pretty sad here. but we do get some games (over priced like HELL)
for example the psp is 750 here witch is around 400$ and that's the lowist price

I am downloading a lot of anime...
That's why I nearly never watch Belgian TV.
But I still need to download soo much I still want to see.
(I can't seem to find Trigun ep8 anywhere right now... I found like all the other eps but no ep 8. That sucks because I don't wanna skip an ep.)

ye, that was a big prob with tenjou tenge to.
i still didn't get to watch the ova's though.
and those that series end at ep 24 with 2 ova's or is there more???
