1) You guys just need to hang out with your own friends but still in the back of your mind, have the person there. Do what you want to do, like party and go out with your buddies...when you guys miss each other...talk and work things out

2) OR it could go very wrongly and you or the other person wants to start dating other people. And if you/her like that other person...basically you apologize to your now EX-partner and say, "During our break I found someone better...screw you...have a nice life." Or you guys flirt around with others and that's not good either =/
