Question about the anime series title "Bleach"

Why is it that Bleach is called well Bleach... wouldn't a title like "Soul Reapers" or something along those lines be a more suitable name for this anime, what do you think...?

I think same as Nination.
it's called Bleach cause Ichigo has bleached his hair and to bleach means to purify (sorta) so when Shinigami's own the Hollows they are sent to Soul Society except bad ass people.

Kaien = Ex. Vice Captain of Rukia's team, was slain by a hollow, actually possesed than slain by Rukia.

Ichigo looks like Kaien a lot, they are like twins.

Ichigo said if he cared what people thought about him he would have bleached his hair black or brown a long time ago... so since Ichigo is the main character I think it is kind of a "Symbolic Title" than your usual anime title. That's my theory, it sound's just about right.

I'm sure thats not the meaning, but it's pretty nifty anyways.
It most likely has to do with Ichi's hair and the hollow purifying. Plus Kubo really likes american rock, and Nirvana's debut album was called Bleach, if i'm not mistaken (which I think I am XD)

I just don't understand why she would act like a sailor-moon clone if she is in fact smart and perspective of individuals. I just don't see why she has to have that kind of facade. I agree w/ your last sentence - "no fuss to be having crushes on her just b/c of her front assets" and you're right. They're just breasts. Do you see Ichigo reacting to them at all? Although we know he's not a pervert like Keigo. But, he's a 15 year old boy for goodness sakes! What is he a monk? Though even monk will probably be affected by Orihime's boobs. So, bad example there :)

Well....in my opinion, as I'm something of a fanfiction writer too, I'd criticise that Orihime has been turning into much of a Mary-sue with too much emphasis on her. But, this is dependent on Kubo Taito as I think he wishes to make her a Mary-sue for plain humour I suppose. (Similar to Shippou in Inuyasha who basically has little significance in the story as well~) So we can't really blame him either....=D

I'd have to agree that it goes along with his hair color and the fact they purify normal souls and cleanse the sins of Hallows. Sounds about right. Anyone love the fact that they draw the bleach gang in random freakin' awesome clothing. I'm thinking about taking Ichigo's Hallow shirt and seeing if someone will make me one from a sketch I'm going to try to make.

hmmm seriously though if orihime loses her ditzy act, i like her alot beta..........coz.....to some it may be cute errr but too much of it .....its irritating and yeah her boobs, probably kubo drew them that big to attract more guys into reading bleach........and the fact that her seiyuu voice is so high pitched doesnt make it any better, i like her better without sound-----i mean in the manga

I think her enhanced front is to create some funny parts in the manga to avoid monotony in it which can become serious if too little comic relief is used.

she got 320/344 position over 344 students or smthg like that coz she flunked almost everything cept modern japanese, at least kubo makes his characters realistic since rukia only reads mangas to improve her japanese and i think she pretty much ignored her other subjects

Well, it's understandable that Rukia will get bad grades at a 'human' school. I don't think they teach science, math, or english at the shinigami academy. They probably teach their students demon arts or things related only to their profession as a shinigami. So, it's not a surprise that Rukia won't be on top list of students at Ichigo's school. I like the way she study Japanese..reading manga..Geez, I wish I can pass my classes just by reading manga..That would be awesome! LOL! :redbiggri

Yup...but if your native or first language ain't Japanese, it will be rather hard to learn it through reading manga. Rukia is just learning modern Japanese just like how you learn a dialect of your own language....=P hehehe
