Alright, everyone help! Tell me some ways to cure boredom before I go insane. There is absolutely nothing to do! :whatevah: So what do you do when you are bored?

Bwaha. Go to Wal-Mart. Then tie yourself to a duck heading south until you see a huge pit of seething darkness. That's Washington DC. Kill the rabbit and float slowly downward until you reach alley #6, platform #15. Then go on a killing spree. That's always helps when I'M bored..Or you could just play solitaire. That's no fun, though.

hmm... i did a paper on extended sleep awhile ago. it's supposed to lead to extreme lethargy and you'll be a very grumpy and irritable person. extended motion will just make you tired... and hungry.

I can't sleep for too long, it'll give me a massive headache. I can go for 3-4 days without sleep though, that's pretty fine with me. What do i do when I'm bored? Normally I'll read or write. FFnet helps alleviate boredom somewhat, though that's me. Being insomniac lets you have your full 24 hours a day, heheheh

One time my dad did that when he was registering me for school in middle school...he passed out. The school nurse had to try and get him to wake up, he ended up going to the hospital. Me and my sis were totally embarrassed. I ended up staying the whole school day. The guidence counselor was nice enough to buy me lunch, and also teach me how to play chess.

not really. i like cars that is if they are driveable. i have had some strange occurences with cars. my dad is a mechanic, he loves cars. one time i had this car that didn't have a rear defroster. it sucked especially in the winter time. it would be all foggy in the back. my dad sold that car, found one sort of like it. the only problem is it needs a transmission, can't go over 30mph without shifting. and since i only know how to use an automatic i can't drive it.

I agree with darren strongly on this one! Automatics give you no feel for the car on the road or the engine, with a manual you have definite selections which develop your own style of driving around. Plus they are a whole lot safer to drive at any speed, unless you just have no abilities as a driver what-so-ever.

I agree with that, I was looking at it a different way. Driver error is far more likely to occur in an automatic. AT least that’s what’s been proven in this country where 99.9% of people learn to drive manuals, it just too easy that the drivers become complacent. Besides I'd find so many situations on the road easier to tackle in a manual. I really don’t trust automatic cars.

no, i guess you are right. i have only been in one accident. but i seem to have near accidents. you know the close calls that you manage to do okay with. i think girls do have cheaper insurance, but since my accident mine went up. it wasn't even a big accident at that. i was coming out of a parking lot ready to turn and i looked didn't see anyone and went, but when i turned out i heard a wierd noise. turns out i hit someone. course i was so freaked out i said that it was my fault. (stupid thing to say, very stupid) so the person behind me honks and we pull over. her car was in really bad shape, mine only had a stratch above the tire. bad experience there.

most skater/bmx guys know how to sew if they have any sense because they are always ripping their stuff up... i used to bmx, and i kinda know how to sew.

i can sew sort of. i can fix things with holes in them. like when at school and i had holy socks i sewed them up. i can sew on buttons. i wish i could make clothes, but i can't. my grandma when she was around she made stuff. she made a costume for me when i was in a play. at christmas time we would make foam ornaments, and bake cookies.

it comes with REM (deep sleep). if you have enough prolonged deep sleep, you tend to encounter these dreams more often.

they say that during REM sleep, your brain acually DREAMS for a couple minutes at a time, and only a couple times each hour. this amazes me because ive dreamed an entire day, when ive only slept a couple hours. that means my brain rendered and processed an entire day's worth of input and information exchange, all in the course of a few 1-2 minute dream bursts... it makes me wonder about the processing power of the brain.

Has anybody ever tried to be conscious as they go to sleep? sounds stupid, but if you relaxed and don't let your head drift, and stay focused on what you are feeling, it's pretty weird; you start to lose some feeling in your legs and fingers as brain starts to produce the chemical that paralyses you when you are asleep; very weird sensation.

noradrenalin. really fun stuff. one thing i learned in this state, you can also experience really weird sensations. in class, when i started falling asleep, i would feel like i was on a roller coaster that had a short but sudden drop (the feeling of zero G for a moment). and for fun i would keep myself just awake enough to feel this OVER AND OVER again. i spent half of a class doing this. so funny.

HackeD slept with grandma until he was 9! (Booha! ^_^) He had this ragged teddy bear that he "couldn't sleep without", and it went EVERYWHERE with him. So one day, he decided to bring it to the duck pond. And a duck stole it. T_T Really. He lay it on the ground, and then it was floating beside the duck in the middle of the pond. Grandma gave him one of my little sister's old dolls (which had a porcelon head). He knocked her out with it. T_T While he was sleeping, he flung the doll and whacked grandma right in the eye. She didn't stir till morning..U_U And Darren, that twitch thing sounds strange..O_O My uncle used to do something like that, but he was insane, so..O_o

I used to read a lot before I went to sleep (as I was laying in bed) and would only stop until I couldn't even hardly think because of exhaustion. Then I would actually have dreams that I would be continuing to read this book that I was reading before I slept, I even moved my arms to turn pages and everything. It was really weird because I would wake up and not remember the difference between what happened in the book and what I made up in the dream. ^^

Still on the subject of dreams, ever dreamt that something was possible that wasn't, but still tried it when you woke up? Example; i once dreamt that if i held my hands in a particular position, then i could fly. Now when i woke up, i knew that it was a dream, i knew i couldn't fly, but it didn't stop me trying it just the once, just in case.
