Hey all, i dont know if I'm just wierd but the deathgods are supposed to be the good guys right? But sometimes they come across as really bloodthirsty to me.

does anyone feel that there is a power struggle in soul society that might have been there from before ichigo? the bloodthirsty captains make me feel like they are always watching eachother for the right moment to strike.

From what i've derived, the Gotei 13 themselves don't go about typical Shinigami jobs. They're like, political leaders who fight. They're sent on special missions (like recovering rukia, or possibly destroying a menos) but never really sent on plain field missions.

Anyways, the shinigami may seem bloodthirsty, but they're just protecting their city from invaders. I mean, would you be friendly to people who busted into your city XD? The extra Shinigami we don't see to much, and when we do see them they're usually going crazy hunting down Ichigo & co, because they want to maybe get promoted?

Sure the shinigami's reap Hollows and stuff but some of them are pretty crazy. I guess it's kinda like police, they help us and all but some of them are insane, racist, killing, pedophile, psychos
