I hope you know overclocking is completely useless...
So is watercooling... A normal pc doesn't need extra cooling anyway.
In my class we had a discussion about Overclocking and we just got the hard proof in front of us. Overclocking is useless and shortens your pc's lifespan drastically.
If you really had no restrictions on money. Get the most expensive servertype pc there is.
It's bound to work better than any other pc.
And just get a super ISDN cable as your internet connection.
You won't ever need to overclock that pc since it's faster than overclocked pc's anyway.
Then put in 2-4 processing units in that pc, and a decent 3d-card.
(don't ever try this when you are limited in money, since servers cost +$10000 when you want a decent one. The cheapest I've ever seen was €3000, and it was already better as any ordinary pc... But it would need some extra building to it to make it really good.)

About the watercooling part. Even though normal PC doesn't need it, the faster ones out today would benefit from it, since watercooling is far more efficient and quiet then traditionnal air cooling, since the newest processors emits quite a lot of heat.
If the AlienWare PC Crimson_Stigmata wanted wasn't watercooled, i'm probably sure that it wouldn't perform as well as it does.
And i'm with Sahiden about overclocking. Plus, the chances that you fry your processor while overclocking it are too great for the benefit of a few more cycles gives you.

Why you want a hybrid? You plan on hosting a game server?

Umm not really. I just want the game PC. The server side thing is only if I was going to host a server...IE FFXI emulated server or something. >_>"

im talking about hardware capable of the rigors of server use...that stuff is meant to be on 24/7 and anything with that kind of reliability is worthy of other uses as well.

Well for one thing I don't play games 24/7. I may leave my PC on for 24/7 but I only play for 8hrs a day. >_>" So no need for 24/7 stuff anyways. I just want a fast quiet PC so I don't wake up anyone when I'm playing FFXI at 3 in the morning. ^-^"
