I want a P2P program that real good. Ive been using Limewire for a long time. Is that the best?

Anyone got any info on whats out there? How are programs like Morpheus, Bearshare, or Ares?

you could try bittorrent.. i liked ares its good, morpheus screwed up my computer, bearshare i dunno, but alot of my friends are using it. so its basely up to you which one u pick. im using limeware and im fine with it.

Yeah, Limewire Pro is good, for finding common files. The bad thing is, you can't find rare files and there is a lot of bogus and corrupt files on the whole network.

I use Bearshare to download music and anime sometimes, but I don't really recommend it. There are a lot of viruses on it, and I have to scan my computer system every so often to get rid of the bugs. But the good thing about it is that it has a some rare anime files that I can never find elsewhere.

[Edit] Sometimes, there are bogus files on Bearshare, too, but you can differentiate those from authentic ones by looking at the file size. When it's significantly less than the size it should be, then it's pretty obvious that it's a fake.

It looks like what you need is Ares. I made the transition from limewire to ares a few months ago, and its the best p2p search engine that I've ever used.

Bittorrent all the way. Very rarely you would acquire a virus unless you are going for hack/cracks.

If your looking for rare files, use DC++ or Soulseek. Most likely you will find it there.

naw Azureus is one of the best and if you want to search some torrents got to this site http://torrentscan.com/ and you'll see loads of other p2p sites with their torrents on it ^^

Mininova is another good torrent site with plenty of torrents. And mininova usually gets the new torrents first as well.

Bearshare sucks if you download the free version. Installs adware. Pro is really good though. Kazaa sucks. It drains your CPU of all CPU time and eats up all of your bandwidth and gives you terrible speeds.

Yep I agree with Bearshare and Kazaa. Both of them are terrible and riddled with spyware and adware crap.

I installed the Pro version of Bearshare and it still said it had adware/malware on it, when I scanned my computer.

Same as Limewire, except it doesn't have spyware or any malware components except for the fact that it drains a lot of memory usage when you download multiple files at once, (Blame Java) and sometimes when your downloads have finished, it continues to eat up bandwidth around 20KB per second.

edonkey, bearshare, kazaa and morpheus are horrid choices. They fill up your computer with spyware to the rim. Keep using Limewire IMO. Probably the best P2P program I have ever come across :). Torrents stay as my first priority method when I'm looking for something though. Its quite hard to come across a single file with torrents =/.

Limewire and other programs like it are only good for downloading english music but when it comes down to downloading anime and japanese music then it's torrents ftw. :D

I use bearshare pro and it's fukin awesome. Iono what you guys are talking about. The free version does have that stupid "whenusave" program on it. But all you have to do is d/l the pro version off it. I've scanned my computer plenty of times and have never found any spyware related to bearshare besides that when u save program.

and Limewire?! Holy shit that piece of crap fcked up my comp so bad. I want to strangle that program. Same goes for morpheus and kazaa.

Limewire and Bearshare are actually on the same network, so if i had to pick one i would definitely go with bearshare.

p2p itself is perfectly legal, its just like any other webservice, ftp, irc, im, etc, its just more newsworthy for illegal filesharing

I say stick with Lime Wire and if you dont have BearShare its also really good. You hould use BitTorrent or BitComet for bigger files say 500mb+.

is it just me, or does anyone else find it funny that Thunderbolt 2864 is telling Ichimaru Zoro 3 to download the pro version of a program thats commenly use for downloading copyright stuff of a second, different p2p system?
while thats the way i got it, it just seems funny to me
