I prefer the anime, though the manga is great it still has way to many questions with no awnsers and the whole Xing desert saga got a bit confusing (Though I do like that Greed was reincarnated ^^) and the action is a bit more dull in the manga. Also some new charectors in the anime make it cooler and the story goes smoother. (In the manga Kimbley, who is 1 of my favorite charectors, barely had to do with any of the story unlike in the anime where he is complete Owage.)

Indeed Stargazer sounds lame. Seed Eternity was only a workingtitle though.
I think Stargazer is some sort of weapon or project, just like Destiny was.
I do hope this series will be better than the last one, rumour has it that the SEED franchise will be a trilogy, so this would be the last one. They better make it a banging end.
@ Z_blitz: I liked Seed better than Seed-D, and you tou I guess, seeing that 40% of Seed-D was a recap of Seed. That (for me) was the most annoying part of Destiny, the continous flashback of the original series.
The ending battle of Seed-D was better than Seed though

O YES, there is finally someone else interested in this anime except me and kutabacchi. Its pretty far into the series already and is already on episode 46 on raws but the only subbers are on episode 33, so u gotta be patient with them if you want to see it.

whoever said that destiny was better than seed needs to get his/her head checked. destiny was a hopeless spinoff of seed. the directors were going to make shin a good guy but in the end the fans made them focus on athrun and kira and that just made shin (presumably the main character) a very annoying little kid who somehow gets several chicks liking him despite his antisocial and immature behaviour. it was just not believable and the character relations were all fskced up.

if gundam seed was an 8, id say destiny was a 3. the only reason i watched the whole bloody thing was because i borrowed it on disc. hopefully they remove ALL the old characters or keep the old characters OUT of main roles. and also, i want all those recycled scenes out of the anime. those recycled scenes were SO annoying, they have been recycling them since seed.

This is a Series that really LACKS in viewers...up to 33 in the subs...the series is FINISHING this week though on episode 50...unfortunately the fansubs are slow....VERY slow infact....the quality is good....but the Group subbing it at the moment is in a bit of a fix last time i heard...

This come directly form the World Hobby Festival and the Wonder Festival:

Sunrise releases three fifteen minute long animations based on the Seed series next month entitled Gundam Seed C.E.73 Stargazer.
The series will be broadcasted on the net and at hobby/anime conventions and as far as I know, there will only be three stories.
The two main characters are Swen Kal Bayan (sorry - translating that from Japanese) who's a Natural and pilot of Strike Noir. And then theres Selene Mac Grif (?? another bad translation) who's a Coordinator - long green hair and big...anime eyes.
The main Gundam is the one you see in this pic - I've got a color pic in this months NewType mag but haven't gotten round to doing the you-know-what. GAT-X 105E Strike Noir looks like a cross between Strike, Akatsuki and Freedom because it seems to have huge wing type weapons attached to the back.

I'm not sure why Sunrise have gone and bothered to make such a short series - could it be so that they can bring out more Gundam kits? Whatever - the series better be good.

Yes people, you heard me right. A secret scene in Kenshin OVA part four.

How many of you have downloaded and watched the OVAs? If you have you are all missing on something grand!!! The other day I was rewatching the OVas at my friends house. He told me there was a scene I had never seen before that was exclusive to the bought version of the DVD... Ladies and gentlemen he was right.

Remember how at the very end, you see Kenshin fighting on a boat with a lot of guys and almost immediately after you see scenes from the revolution where yuo see Kenshin and his ennemies shadows fighting and the BG is full of flames. Do you all remember this seen?

Do yuo all remember the eps 01 of the series where they start the itoduction where they show the battousai on top of a bridge, the animation is redish, and how he is quickly killing everyone in one strike?

I'LL STOP STALLING NOW.

I saw an extra 30 second scene where you see the bridge and there are a bunch of explosions because of cannon balls being thrown, houses destroyes etc. Closeup to the bridge. Kenshin is running to the bride. On the otherside, there are hundreads of men... The the sickest 5-10 second scene I ever saw!

Kenshin is cutting through them all... easily of caurse... he is being tied up ropes along teh way, but nothing stopps him, within second he is dimishing their numbers so rapidly...

AND THEN... it resumes to the fighting where you see Kenshins and his enemies shadows fighting on the fiery BG.

That's all I wanted to share guys. If you have a friend with the DVD or if you want to go buy it, you'll be seeing this scene. Also I'd like to know if anyone has ever found this video clip on the net anywhere...

Yes, I own the Kenshin OVA collection, and the scene you're talking about is pretty kickass. My avatar is also from T&B. It took me a while to figure out that the assasin that killed that one traitor in the last episode of the OVA is Shishio.

Hiko is stupid awesome in his fight scene. I personally enjoyed Trust/Betrayal a lot more than the anime series simply because they took out all the move names. That and the lack of humour really set this piece aside as a work of art.

The manga retelling of Kenshin's past is pretty good as well, good 'ol Enishi biting Kenshin the first time they meet.

According to Jbooks, The Fullmetal Alchemist Premium Collection will be released March 29 for on 3990 yen. The DVD will include a movie originally screened at Universal Studios Japan (as part of an FMA themed ride), and three short OAVs. One of the three shorts will be a Gokurousama (Good Work Party) that will include all the characters from Conqueror of Shambala in chibi form. Details are not currently available for the other two OAVs.

The DVD will also include deleted scenes from the movie that weren't included when it was screened at Universal Studios Japan.

It depends on the version of the OVA's you have if you have Trust/Betrayal seperatly there's actually a bit more stuff, if you have the Reminiscence combined set they cut out some of the stuff.

Episode 1 - "Blah blah blah".
Episode 2 - fight starts.
Episode 3 - 25 minutes of Goku going "HRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH" and charging up his SUPER ULTRA SECRET ULTIMATE MOVE OF DEATH AND DOOM
Episode 4 - 25 MORE minutes of Goku going "HRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH" and charging up his SUPER ULTRA SECRET ULTIMATE MOVE OF DEATH AND DOOM while the villain stands there and does nothing (and I am quite dumbfounded as to why this happens, see: Spirit Bomb)
Episode 5 - He FINALLY lets it go and he wins.

Rinse and repeat.

DB was ok, but I didn't really like it. DBZ and GT make me angry.

The series and the ovas are incomplete on their own. If you watch both of them... eps first... then ova, you get 100% of kenshin...

The highlight for me was after the revolution, you see a scene with kenshin siting under hit tree where he trained when he was a kid. And then the ghost of Tomoe comes from nowhere and huugs him from the back. This shows and makes me comprend fully why Kenshin in the series is well... Kenshin!

With every step he takes, every action he does, all his moral that guides him...

They all come from the woman who finished his scar. Who is beside him every step of the way. The two most important aspects of Kenshin: The tree (his training) and Tomoe, the reason of why he is...

This movie is filled with symbolism!!!

Man I used to love this show, don't remember how long ago it was that I watched this. My second anime (my first was Akira, didn't understand it at all) that I ever watched. Good memories.

The series and the ovas are incomplete on their own. If you watch both of them... eps first... then ova, you get 100% of kenshin...
The highlight for me was after the revolution, you see a scene with kenshin siting under hit tree where he trained when he was a kid. And then the ghost of Tomoe comes from nowhere and huugs him from the back. This shows and makes me comprend fully why Kenshin in the series is well... Kenshin!
With every step he takes, every action he does, all his moral that guides him...
They all come from the woman who finished his scar. Who is beside him every step of the way. The two most important aspects of Kenshin: The tree (his training) and Tomoe, the reason of why he is...
This movie is filled with symbolism!!!

Manga owns the animated series, mostly because they included the last arc as well. The anime is pretty good the first two seasons, however that last random season...O.o, Basically I agree watch the series for the first two season, then watch Trust and Betrayal seperately (if possible) or Reminiscence (Trust/Betrayal combined with a few things chopped out).

DBZ, DBZ GT, even DB. Just....seriously. Anyone who complains about plotlines HAS to hate these.
Episode 1 - "Blah blah blah".
Episode 2 - fight starts.
Episode 3 - 25 minutes of Goku going "HRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH" and charging up his SUPER ULTRA SECRET ULTIMATE MOVE OF DEATH AND DOOM
Episode 4 - 25 MORE minutes of Goku going "HRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH" and charging up his SUPER ULTRA SECRET ULTIMATE MOVE OF DEATH AND DOOM while the villain stands there and does nothing (and I am quite dumbfounded as to why this happens, see: Spirit Bomb)
Episode 5 - He FINALLY lets it go and he wins.
Rinse and repeat.
DB was ok, but I didn't really like it. DBZ and GT make me angry.
Although Trunks is cool.

After watching about 10 different animes other than DB, it does seem kinda weak in all aspects, especially the run-on episodes. However, DB is over 10 years old now, and you can't really compare it to anime that are released now. Of course it is overrated because it is the most popular anime out there. But it's like comparing Diana Ross to India Arie, they both sing, but Diana was way more popular in her time, yet no one likes that kinda of music anymore.

Besides, DB led the way for many anime that we watch today, and it is quite obvious that they follow the same pattern DB did: A guy has a hidden power that he doesn't know, it gets unlocked, he fights an enemy, the enemy is too strong, the guy goes under training to become stronger to beat the guy, but the enemy is still a little stronger, somehow the hero beats the enemy, and occassionally the enemy joins the hero's side. Then the repetition as mentioned before. Bleach definitely follows this pattern, but it doesn't take 50 episodes to do it.

And we all know that many of us watch anime today because of DB.

DBZ was only good in the beginning, after goku became super saiyan, it got crappy fast. and forget DBGT, dont even bother to watch that piece of crap.

also, pokemon is way overrated. even more than DBZ. when it began it was good. but it didnt take long for it to be crap. each episode consisted of:

-ash & friends go on an adventure and meet some ppl
-team rocket attacks them and tries to steal pikachu
-ash kicks their ass easily.

even now there are still new pokemon episodes coming out. damn it! at least DBZ had an ending!!!

I personally couldn't stomach Destiny after a while because I realized "Oh my goodness...I've seen this before." They almost completely flipped the story back over to Athrun and whos its, ignoring Shinn or making him a pansy.

If they make a sequel I want a guy that gets in a gundam and goes "Hey sweet, a weapon of war, I'm gonna kick the trash outta stuff!" Smiles and does as he says. None of this "Oh noes, I could hurt people." and "I can't fight, I'm not strong enough" crap that keeps popping up.

Get in the damned mobile suit and whomp someone, and whomp 'em good!!!

Now that I've got that off my chest, really would like to see them take a different direction with things. I don't mind seeing the old cast again, but if you're going to introduce new characters I'd personally prefer it if last seasons main fellows take a back seat to the new seasons.

Otherwise you may as well introduce the previous seasons cast and slap on "With New Collectible 'insert name' Doll!" and be over with it.

Er, kinda draggin' this out from awhile ago...

I never really got a chance to watch the anime, so I can't say much. My friend said Jing was too cool in the anime, so I kept my distance.

I prefer the manga version. Jing actually seems to change over the course of the manga, especially in Twilight Tales. The art tends to improve as the series progresses as well. For the audiences in general, I'd advise going with Jing: King of Bandits: Twilight Tales because the art style is much cleaner and the main people are more proportionate, therefore more able to radiate more hot-ness. For die-hard fans, start out with good ol' Jing: King of Bandits.

As for what manga I've got... Everything Tokyopop has released. This leaves out a mystery vol. 7 which doesn't seem to exist at the moment. =/

i'v have noticed that in most Character discriptions and such that you find in Manga's they list the persons bloodtype? why is that.. its not like the book is going to donate blood to you if you need it lol :P. my own theory is that in Japan / asien. they look at bloodtype in Matchmaking / personality behavior and such. Like we in north (and ´propely over sea in the US) look at Starsigns or what ever you call it.. am i totaly wrong here ? please someone explain it :D

I think naruto seems overrated because of the fillers, which i must say are causing to much negative criticism, but once main story is back it will be my #2 to watch anime

Akari is WAY overrated and so is Ninja Scroll (the movie) and Ghost in the Shell (The movie).

Tenchi Muyu is wayyy Underrated, everyone hates it because it has a little Ecchi in it or the fact that they look at it and say it's to DBZ like when really IT'S NOT.

Yet, everyone I know who does watch it (including myself) love the series to death.

To be serious one of my favourite Anime's as a kid was Guyver, apparently they've made a new (more complete) version of Guyver, since it hasn't been mentioned what so ever I'll go with it as underrated.

man the most overrated anime ever is pokemon... he isnt even good... i play pokemon in gba which rocks and i beat the hell out of all of them and in the anime ash goes and has like from 200 episodes the 150 of them are walks and the 25 of them fights and 25 mystery or sth.... and the loser doesnt even win a tournament! and the most underrated is yugioh gx.. everyone that likes the trading card game should like this anime too..

I'd like to make my own clothes (since ordering some from anywhere is 100000 more expensive), but since i'm kind of fat (well really fat i don't hide it) i'd like to know where and what to measure so that the clothes (which look to me like a bathrobe)

Well,the coat is easy to make. First grab a large sheet of white fabric en dress it around you with your arms tucked in. Then have a friend cut the too long parts from behind you and (if you want) make holes for the sleeves. Then make the sleeves,paint the the symbol,the black traingles and finaly in the middle of your back,cut a line from the lowest part of the coat to right over your arse.

That's basicly the easiest way.
