No gundam can rival Char Aznable's powerfull costum Red Zaku.
The ones who come close are Wing Zero Endless Waltz en Strike Freedom.
However, there are better mechs like Jehuty and Anubis from Zone of The Enders,ES Simeon from Xenosaga and ofcourse the Uber Hyper Mega OMGWTFBUTTSEKSBBQ Zord from Power Rangers.

I got lazy and just ordered myself the outfit from some place. I do admit though, if you order it from Hong Kong, etc. definitly boost the size up cause I told them the right size, and everything but the pants really fit.
Oh, here is a pic of my captain outfit.

This may have already been discussed if so trash it but..
I noticed something in Mai Otome, there seems to be a likeness between slaves and child's that is defiently uncanny. So as i was watching Mai Otome i dawned on me that the monsters they fight in Mai Hime called Oufans could be the last generation of creatures that were used in the last big disaster. Because the "slave" as they call it that aswald uses/summons is very much like a child especially taking into account that the "slave" that midori uses was her child in Mai Hime. So it could be in fact that Oufans were actually the last childs for the previous less advanced generation.
Also ive noticed a interesting continueation of plot line.. it seems that the creator likes to have good friends betray to some sort of villian that has attachments.. Mikoto > her brother, Nina > Her farthers greater good
I think its also quite ironic that the roles switch between Yukino and Haruka in Mai Otome.
Also an intersting thing.. you can see Nina in the second episode of Mai Hime in class.
Oh, it was different, childs are not Slaves.
while Slaves are actually both ends of the Otome and Aswald.
What was apparent was that the Slaves were the identical to a Otome suit, only they come in a different form. They are the external end of an Otome suit (you cannot wear an Otome suit with all that robot on you right?) Just imagine Raito wearing a Otome custome....OMG!
It was mentioned before there is no direct relation of the Hime and Otome storyline, what happened was a mainly something like "Marvel's Alternative Universe sort of stuff, you know, changed sexes, changed personalities, different characters, different story blah blah....
If you compare to The Uncanny Xmen to The Ultimate Xmen, the idea is the same here, Otome and Hime are basically something like an alternate universe sort of way to explain it.

But then if slaves arnt childs why does Tate say "Slave!" when one of the aswald summons it in the boat attack scene. Also then why are the characteristics between midori's and her child the same
oh well but i was going to say that Nagi says in Mai Hime that Oufans and Childs are basically the same thing.. so that may have anotehr basis on my theory for the oufans being the previous generation of child in Mai Hime could that have any basis of being true?

I dont remember what episode that was, but using the Mangeyou Sharingan gives access to 2 very powerful Jutsu's amoung other things. The moon god jutsu, which Itachi uses on Kakashi and Sasuke, is suposidly the strongest illusion jutsu there is. He also uses the Sun God Jutsu to escape Jiraiya. They have not said if this is the strongest fire Jutsu in existance, but it is very possible as the Uchiha clan focused on fire based techniques and Jiraiya was amazed at it's ability, (why he sealed it in the scroll)
The actual "mangekyou sharingan" is just the level of Sharingan. the highest one known, that itachi has obtained. I dont thnik Sasuke has gotten it yet in the anime though.
pardon my typo's

Mangekyou Sharingan means Kaleidescope Sharingan...
Tsukiyomi is the moon technique that Itachi used on Kakashi, then Amaterasu is the black flame one that he used to escape Jiraiya's "Toad Esaphagus".

Thanks for coming here! Okay, so I'm like "sort of" into manga. I like serious, well-plotted manga/anime like Bleach and others like naruto and full metal alchemist and somewhat wolf's rain. So I read the manga for them but i'm looking for something new. And I get annoyed with other manga art style like child-like fighters and stuff. Can someone tell me of a good manga that has a plot somewhat like the manga i mentioned.

The haori is easy... actually,so is the kimono. A shinigami kimono is basicly a black bathrobe with a white collar under the upper black collar (just sew some white fabric under it) and add some extra white to the black sleeves.
Also don't forget that most of the kimono goes inside the hakama so it doesn't matter if the bathrobe is too long.

The top shouldn't be that hard, most basic martial arts patterns can be altered to make them look like the top, just remember on the black part there is a small cut out in the armpits, so to be authentic remember to put those in(those cut outs help movement and from cloth bunching under the arms that block movement of the arms. Also the under layer is going to be longer than the white layer since the pants have the slits in the sides, the white section should go almost down to the knees(Believe me, I've worn the pants and the slits are LONG..lol). Also the seams on the under one are going to be bigger as to make it smaller so that the black one can fit over it...dang it I need to finish that ultimate shinigami costume guide >.<. The overrobe would be made just like the top except longer and without the sleeve..I would make it a size bigger than the tops to allow movement.

Yes but either way the fight sequences r very short in the manga. They could have extended some of the fight sequences (example: Ed vs Greed, Ed vs Scar). But thats also a problem with the anime but in the anime they combine storyline elements as they fight but in the manga its just very quick battles with them explaining the plot for only a little bit b4 the actual fight.

So, anime got the fights, manga got the plot, it just depends what you like more. I thought that they did a pretty good job with the plot in the anime, so I do not in a ny way consider it a weak point of the anime. Yeah, and vs. Greed fight was awesome, Greed is my fave character in FMA.

@Thing: The manga is VERY different then the anime:
1. All the Humonculi r made by 1 guy know as "Father".
2. Charectors such as Kimbly and Sloth haven't appeared yet.
3. Al can use alchemy by clapping his hands
4. Greed is a MAJOR plotlin charector.
5. Homunculi have no real weakness and can only be killed by extreme conditions
6. The storyline is COMPLETELY different
7. Dante doesn't exist.
8. Wrath isn't in the manga and Sloth is the name of a unimportant humonculus and is a guy.
Don't want to spoil anymore.

The mistake that I see very often when ppl cosplay in kimono is the white "trims"...
It's actually an under-garment..a kimono made with a littler fabric.
Nowadays, ppl would buy an eri-sugata (http://i3.tinypic.com/vwy71t.jpg),it's cheaper yet,you still get the formal look (it's quite quite trendy these days^.^lol).
As for the kimono, here's a pattern (http://i3.tinypic.com/vwy9ue.gif)(just to show you what it looks like..)
Believe or not,the kimono, the shinigami wears is that long.
As for the "pants",it's called an hakama.I suggest you buy an authentic one online(probalby about $70.00 for a cheap one..).Cuz making it yourself will just end up looking sloppy(I meant no offense).Like for the folds..there's a specific number of folds on an hakama, etc.
Hmm..the ideal behind a kimono is a cylindrical shape with an average size body.(example,if you're a skinny girl, you'll have to put a lot of layers,if you have a rather large chest, you'll have to "flatten" it..so on,so forth.)
Your size shouldn't be a problem.
I suggest you buy line or cottom fabric for the komono.
[**1]Take a measurement from the back of your neckto your ankles or little below the knees. As for the hemming,I suggest you add 3 inches.
This is for the collar.Take the measurement you got from [**1] and double it,then add the mearument of your neck(measure the width around your neck). The collar should be around 3 inches, add an other 3,for hem).
[**2]Measure the width of your back from the middle of your side(just over the ribcage)from one side to the other. For fullness, add and another 3 for hemming.
For front panels(which it for the collar...),if you halve the measurement from where it says:[**2] and add 6.5 inches, it will make the width^^(hope that was clear...)
For the width of your sleeves, hold your arm out measure from the top of your arm down to a bit higher than the middle of your waist.Don't forget, 3 inches for hems.
For length of the sleeves, measure from the top of your shoulder down to the middle (or a little longer) of your forearm .3 inches for hems.
Ok,I'm not very good at explaining...^^;
I've never really make a kimono before, but my mom makes most of mines(my most expensive kimono cost about $1200.00,excluding the obi)
Random fact:it takes about an hour to put -on properly- a women kimono..lol XP yo men are lucky! lol)
Hope that helps^^

Well i find that after a long time.. maybe a year or like 6 months rewatching an anime that you really enjoyed is very much worth it.. because you may find yourself saying.. "Dam i wish i saved it, because i have a sudden urge to watch this good one again" thats happened to me a couple of times.. and its pretty annoying.. back it up on DVD coz then you dont take up hard drive space.. but i suggest you do it for the ones that you really enjoy.. ones that stand out from the rest

I'd burn the episodes onto CDs if you want to save them, but just don't keep them on your computer.
I had about 80 episodes of anime on my computer and got a notice about a month ago that I had about 3 gigs of memory left, and the episodes were one of the main culprits of the problem :)

thanks to everyone...i'll be just fine. I never wanted to create a PERFECT cosplay costume, since there is no such thing in bulgaria. Here it's imposilbe to order via credit card, since we don't have any (i'm only 20 years old and i barely pay for my food)
I'll figure it out...
I even persuaded a group of local bleach fans to make their own, just like me (spending 180$ for a uniform is like spending my father's montly salary on something that i'll wear once or twice an year)
if i choose to make it myself, i will probably pay about 5-6 dollars for materials...and for me even that is a lot (since i don't work)
I know it's hard to comprehence, but we just have really different living standarst...

I only delete when I have no choice. Otherwise, I do everything I can to keep them. I've ran out of CDs, and my harddrive is full... so I'm constantly running on like 1 gig of free space, and pretty much delete worse stuff for better stuff.
cant wait till i get a new comp with a dvd burner and bigger harddrive.

well, if I were to only delete it, it would be either that it was some sort of hentai xD or an anime I didnt like and rather not waste memory leaving it on my comp. OTHERWISE, I just leave it there on my comp, I have over 200 gigs of anime on my computer but thanks to my 300 gig external and my 200 gig internal, Im good for now

Cloud lies about what happened in his hometown city in the FFVII game. What he "remembered" was not true. He was lying to the others. Final Order reveals what actually happened during that flashback scene Cloud had.

04-21-2006, 02:41 PM
thats true the events of final order did happen in the video game, this is what happened after cloud attacked sephiroth back on nibel. These are his and zacks true memories
it seems to me many people miss that animation in the game
If you havent seen it this is what you should do
After cloud rejoins your team after being lost in the macro stream, go back to the basement of shinra mansion and that will triger clouds memories and that flashback scene which final order is bassed on
Random Havoc

Savage, that's not where I saw it... it was in a city outside of shinra where in a hotel the gang meets up and Cloud tells the story of when he was working with Sepiroth. For this one battleyou can even fight as him.
Bee-chan, that's what I assumed that they are the one and the same. I think the final is a simple mistake.

Random Havoc
04-21-2006, 09:30 PM
LO is about 1/1000 section of the game. Honestly... you first have to know that Clous aid something then you find out it's false, then you watch the real thing in LO. Technically you're skipping a lot of you just see the truth ASAP.
Also, LO came with the DVD of AC so you don't necessarily need to watch it first. The way I look at it, it was create to help people sort out what really happened but according to the storyline you need to know Cloud lied.

Last Order isn't like the game, I'm pretty sure. It doesn't even include Aeris.
I haven't played FFVII, but still understood majority of Advent Children. It'd probably be best to play the game and watch Last Order before watching Advent Children since it'd be better to understand. But Last Order does not replace the game.

one thing that's overlooked in most capt outfits is the colour of white used.
if you look at the majority of the cos-play Capt's they all used blueish white material. which looks too blazing white compared to the characters.
if you want the effect to be closer to the anime use a yellow white material
it wont look so stark white its a hair more beige white and will look far more accurate.

a Gigabyte is 1000 megabytes. Just delete stuff that you dont use anymore like unwanted programs, or if you have some anime on your computer that you don't watch anymore, then delete it. You only need to free up about 3 gigs of space on your computer, which should'nt be too hard.

1st, no double posting, edit your last post if you wanna add more info.
well Fumoffu isnt actually part of the storyline, its like a side story that is a comedy anime but doesnt really add on the to the exsisting story like TSR did. So that is what I am thinking what iladys really meant.
xyouxarexuglyx2
04-24-2006, 01:50 AM
Yes, I already apologized for the double post (the 1st sentence in my previous post)
I've had times in other forums where I had to double post to get attention. Sometimes if I edited a post, noone would notice it, because they already read it once, and found no use in re-reading it.
Sorry my bad, when I meant the 3rd one, I meant the 4th FMP. I was talking based on the main storyline so I didnt take into consideration Fumoffu. Thanks Azn-Chan.
Er, in regards to letting their feelings be known, they dont seem to do it to each other directly. Tessa tells Sousuke to admit that he loves Chidori, Chidori doesnt have the guts to tell Sousuke, and how come Tessa was like the only one he told his feelings to? "You're..an important person to me" or something like that.

If you still find yourself stuck after removing nonused programs/anime, you can always invest in a DVD Burner. Just back them up to a DVD Media. If you don''t have a DVD Burner, you can always use an external hard drive. Just hook it up to a USB or Firewire and copy/paste them to the external drive.
I have a 120 GB external hard drive setup for my anime.
A less feasible solution would be to burn them onto CD. You can probably fit 2-3 episode per disk. It will probably take up 2 Disks per GB.

If you're going to put them on discs you'll be needing about 18cd's (because I had it like that before I bought iton DVD)

chakra25
04-24-2006, 10:24 PM
I don't see anything unethical about fan-subbing. Fan Subbers provide a free service to the general audience. As long as they don't turn around and sell the subbed version (pirating), there is nothing wrong with it. The obligation to purchase the DVDs once it's licensed fall upon the audience. Most fan subbers I know drops a series once it has been licensed because of the ethical/legal issues.

although its nearly impossible for me to get my hands on anime cause i live in sweden so its a good way to spread the anime around the world with Fansubs, so that make's it all Ethical. then i WOULD rather buy some animes then having them on the computer, but like the only anime i own right now in a box is Hellsing. And the rest animes left is a short list and come in like 4 episodes disc for like 50$, and im not willing to pay that much for 4 freekin episodes. And i can also say that i can download nearly every licensed anime here in sweden cause the license inst guilty here as long as no company going to release it here, so Fansubs are good and ethical =]

Ok i just finished watching and considering i never realy played VII past the first few sequences, i didn't enjoy it that much :(
Wish id downloaded it now instead of buying it
I agree with ssmercurys completely that it feels as if it was trashed then thrown back up time an time again. Also, which is incredibly common among movies that are based on or around a video game storyline, is that it felt incredibly rushed, as if it was struggling to fit tones of information from a game that his incredibly long into a few short hours. That and the patchy feeling i got that made me agree with ssmercurys, the scenes just didnt blend together very well.
IMO Square should just stick to makin games :/

You guys are wrong about the final attack Cloud had. It's already invented. It's actually the final attack you get in Final Fantasy Tactics where your sword splits into many. I forgot the name but it was corny like Blossom Chery... some crap like that...

saw the jap version already, great graphics, but i thought all the characters were put in at random a bit. would of liked more focus on certain characters. cloud looks, so slim, its, scary almostO_o the battle scenes were cool, such a different approach than the game.

Hmm.. I'm pissed. I want to watch AC, but I want to play the game 1st. I'm not like the some of the bandwagoning idiots who just watch it because... well.. it's FF7:AC. I want to actually play it first to understand it. My friend bought AC for his PSP but he never even freaking played FF7. Hell, he probably can't name over 10 characters. But.. you know how most Americans are. They watch some things only for the action :eek13:

a Gigabyte is 1000 megabytes. Just delete stuff that you dont use anymore like unwanted programs, or if you have some anime on your computer that you don't watch anymore, then delete it. You only need to free up about 3 gigs of space on your computer, which should'nt be too hard.
GOOD GOD, MAN! DELETE THE ANIME YOU DON'T WATCH ANYMORE?! AAAUGH!
Oh, that is so evil. I keep my anime... but I burn them to discs, YAU, They're talking CRAZY talk! you must SAVE THE ANIME! <_< >_>
Put it on DVDs! or something... unless the anime is really crappy, like Kannazuki no Miko or Elfen Lied... then it's okay to delete it.
I've got a 106 Gig HD... It should be bigger... I wish it was bigger... I've taken up 47.9 gigs on here just with my anime... I know it has to stop soon, but, I just can't bear to part with it :( All that download time.. it seems such a waste to dump it after that

Usually when they completely change a storyline from Manga -> Anime, it sucks pretty bad. But I just finished the anime and was very, very suprised how good it was. I didn;t like a couple things in the ending, but otherwise, very smooth.
I have yet ot read the manga, if it is that much different, is it worth reading after watching the anime? Or will the completely different plot just confuse and bore?

Yes deffinetaly. This film is a reunion for FF7 fans, it even says so at the start.
Although you can watch the movie without playing it, it just isnt the same at all. Youl appreciate the characters struggles, character relationships, certain scenes and the movie as a hole alot lot lot more!
Play the game first dude, i wish i had. The movie just isnt worth watching if you dont feel connected to the characters and story.

i too, watched the subbed version when it first came out in japan and after watching the dub, im disgusted all the voices are horrible and they sometimes dont follow the moving of the character's mouthing. Also, i think they kept the "fighting noises" of the japanese voice actors so it's sounds kinda strange.. oh well. i deleted it right after i watched it XD

FFVII: AC was awesome...i dunno what u guys are talking about lol. Yeah, the story coulda been more deep, but it was really good nonetheless. If you're a true FF fan (and have played FFVII), this should be a treat for you. The only thing i didn't like about it was the fact that you won't nkow anything about what's going on unless you've played FFVII or at least read enough to know what's going on.

Please tell me what was awsome about the movie besides the fight scenes.
I am a FF Fan, i have played threw 7 a couple times, and pretty much every other FF atleast once. But just being able to say "Ohhh, it's Cloud's limit break and pretty colors." doesn't make a movie good.
What are you talking about - the fight scenes were what made the move awesome. It didn't need a plot - the great fight scenes plus the amazing visuals made it a great film. Alright, if you wanna be all 'film critique' and rate it based on its plot and so on, so be it, but I really enjoyed it despite it having no plot. In fact, I think if they'd tried really hard on the plot and it had turned out mediocre (as it would probably have done) I wouldn't have liked the film half as much as how it is - when they put loads of attention into the fight scenes.

IMO if the fighting scenes were really good, but if they weren't the movie would have SUCKED big time...the story was really lame...the whole sickness and the Sephiroth clones....
