Pokémon is a anime series but in america it spawned multiple side storys and srayed from the main track. Due to this fact America is behind in the series by a good 70/80 episodes ahead. For more info on anything pokémon go to http://www.serebii.net for all the pokémon info. But because they announced a "fourth generation of pokémon" so they'll add ANOTHER 100, so it'll just keep on going. So it might take a while til the series ends. :D

one piece during the first 70-80 eps was pretty much set up in ten episode groups so they were mini stories the finding of and becoming nakama of the main characters then onto why they each wanted to enter the grand line ...etc.... even afterwards the ten episode set up held true for the longest time only in the latest group above 250 have they changed this drastically .

the reason I happen to like OP although luffy is somewhat stupid or irresponsible he's always been very straight forward he's not meek and incapable of doing what he feels is right. unlike so many main characters in anime he started out focused and has not strayed from it.
many writers tend to start with some weak ass boy/girl growing up in the backwoods who spends half the time struggling over the most minor decisions and become almost useless if they have a tough decision to make.
all the characters in OP are strong even ussop he just wont admit it to himself. and having a strong main character with strong friends is a refreshing change from the norm of a weak one surrounded by strong support till the boss fight where the weak one pulls through for the win.

needless to say the characters foibles and personality clashes makes for some really good comedy.

One Piece has substance, pure substance. Besides the well-rounded characterization, you won't EVER get to see such amazing/out-of-this-world places that the Strawhats journey too. It has a good plot, with feel-good dreams and funny nakama. What else do you need? And I personally suggest that you go beyond ep 50, even if you read "some of the later stuff". Liking something takes commitment. That's how Bleach was to me too. Or, If this just ins't your genre, then I suggest just forget about it.

I voted for Seijuro Heko.

Heko is Kenshin's master, and he is actually properly trained in the Hiten Mitsurugi, unlike Kenshin, who abandoned the teachings and became an assassin.

As for Aoshi, he lost to Kenshin, so he can't really be the best.

They won't sub it before spring 2007 as every subgroup with a hint of self-respect would never sub a cam-rip. They will wait for the realease of the DVD, which usually takes about 5-6 months for reasons that's beyond me.

Yea i found out about the movie a while ago but i knew of the time it takes for these things to be released. So it's best to just put it out of your mind completly. Then when it comes out you are like, "Hey cool there is a third naruto movie out! I'm gunna watch it!". I did that with the 2nd movie and it made it that much better.

Samurai X is around because ADV licensed the movies and OVAs, where as anime works/media blasters got the anime.

Since AW/MB registered the name "Rurouni kenshin" ADV had to get a different name due to legal issues. So they made "Samurai X", and then the foreign versions of RuroKen adapted that name (or ADV took it from the foreign comics)

Either way Nobuhirou Watsuki himself said "Samurai X? Thats awesome. I wish I thought of that before calling it Rurouni Kenshin..."

Also, the dub of RuroKen is pretty good, aside from Kaoru's VA (her actor bugs the crap out me XD) but yeah. I love Sano's Japanese AND English VAs (Yuji Ueda and Lex Lang ftw~)

Dude, watch it till atleast the end of the Alabasta arc (episode 229 or something) before you judge it. The climax of that arc has one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen.

And the music during it is GREAT!

I'd have to say that I beleive in some... Lol. Like DBZ, well the powers at least. I mean who says that a person can't manipulate one's own energy to the extent of producing energy attacks etc? Ok, maybe not any time soon, but I do beleive it's possible. I mean how else can one explain things like telekenesis? Plus a few other anime possibilities.

Even though i havent watched Megami Paradise yet, I still believe theres a secret realm or world populated only by really hot and cute girls. Yes, a world of hot girls in microskirts, lingerie, and other really suggestive clothings!!
Yes, a world where all men probably died (and went to heaven) from hypovolemic shock due to epistaxis after seeing all these really hot sexy girls!!

oh, and i also believe in a parallel universe populated only by talking animals as in Samurai Pizza Cats.

How words said have a meaning to me and relates to things in my life, that there are forces that humans cannot understand, spiritual energy, and some of the romance stuff they have in them. Though unrealistic some animes/mangas may be, there is always something to believe in because afterall, they were all created by people

Ok, so you've seen many animes, read many mangas, and there still is that charachter that you want but have never seen, I had it happen to me so I sat down and 'built' a charachter from scratch came up with his appearance (to the finest detail) and put him in little stories...so if you could make a charachter who or..what would it be?

sorry if there is another thread on this but i looked and couldn't find 1 and i don't care i have to know. what happened at the ending of berserk?
having finally got round to watch the last 2 eps, i had put it off becaue the ending was supposed to be really depressing and i didn't want to watch it. but i had no idea it has to be the most annoying thing thats happened to me since naruto and bleach started doing fillers.
so what happened
everywhere i look says there are only 25 episodes but at the end of episode 25 there is a preview of what happens in ep 26 so what hapened.
did the anime get canned-hard to believe as it was so good
did it get liscensed-doubt it as that would stop the other episodes bieng downloadable

does any1 know what was officailly supposed to happen or can i read the manga to find out if so were can i get it.

also what does every1 else think about it and the series in general.

or you can do 1 of two things:

1.) borrow a shinigami's power by having a zanpakutou stabbed into your heart.
2.) seek out a real life version of Urahara and get him to help you find your shinigami powers at the risk of becoming a hollow

as he goes along he improves exponentially.he has a variety of attacks be it san-toryu,ni-toryu,or i-toryu or even mu-toryu(no swords).plus he has a couple of iai(quickdraw style attacks).plus he has endured serious injurys that have left major scars.

The anime was made while the manga was still in production (and it's still going to this date) Kentarou Miura publishes like, a chapter or two every month, resulting in about two vols every year. The manga was moving way too slow for the anime to sucessfully animate the ****ed up and unbeleivably awesome retribution arc.

Either way, head over to http://www.thehawks.org/hawks/bt/index.php?dir=.%2FBerserk and download eveyrthing from vol 4 on. Volume 4 starts off with Guts as a child, same stuff the anime ccovers, HOWEVER! The manga is greatly superior. Some different events occur, more violence (harhar) and it's the way Berserk was meant to be. PLUS Guts encounters a character before the eclipse who winds up being a saving grace as the story goes on.

I can't find torrents of Vols 1 - 3, but basically they're the incidents involving the snake baron, as well as another apostle.

EDIT: oh yeah, as for my opinion on this series, I love it. To death. Sure it's kind of getting a bit drawn out now but it's still pretty good. Nothing tops the retribution arc, though. When I have a son and he hits puberty, I'm definately making him read this shit. He'll be the manliest 13 year old ever.

I dont know why they ended it so abruptly. My advice is to just read the manga- not only is it complete (with reference to the anime), but it is MUCH better. I am saying this assuming you have not started the manga lol.

Berserk. After watching episode one at midnight, I literally sat my ass down and watched ALL the remaining episodes in one sitting, then the first one again. It was the only series to make me ever do that.

Genshiken is also a great series, I'd say, mostly because it's downrigth hilarious and made me realize I shouldn't be ashamed of my hobbies, but embrace them =B

Fullmetal Alchemist is another, I actually got teary eyed during a specific incident involving a character...I think you all know what I mean.

Cowboy Bebop was another, until Adult Swim started replaying it CONSTANTLY. The first time I saw spike die, I felt like total shit. "Dude...thats ****ed up" The scene still gets me every time. Same with the scene of Ed leaving the Bebop, and then it shows that Spike taped that spinwheel she gave him onto the bebop's antenna.

Probably the best Samurai anime ever. It's one of the most realistic, and the story is great and well developed. I also like the characters and how each and everyone of them play a key role to the plot. Plus.. who wouldn't like a badass that's named Battousai?

Nowadays it's all CG and computer done, glossy and shiney, where as Berserk was drab, dark, and broody looking. Look at some newer anime's art, and try to think of Berserk with super shiney art and all that. Just wouldn't look right.

Rumor has it they're making a season 2, but I don't beleive any of the rumors. Considering they've been around since 2000 or something

Cel animation isn't used anymore. it's not cost effective. Why do you think 90s animes have a nicer feel to them. Like there's effort put into the art. Where as nowadays everything's super glossy and sloppily done. Sorry, i wouldn't want 19 out of 22 episodes to have situations where Guts looks disproportioned while being cross eyed and having his mouth flap like he's got hsi jaw dislocated (refer to low budget episodes in bleach filler, or that green haired girl spazzing out in Higurashi)

Point in case, Berserk season 2 would have to be OVA quality, in my personal opinion.

It's funnny. CGI animation is cheaper to produce, yet is a TON worse-looking than Cel animation. I think it's because the budget somehow ends up getting squandered.
In Gundam SEED+Destiny's cases, they wasted half the budget licensing TM Revolution's shitty music and voice talent.

That, and with a cheaper budget, people just don't try anymore. Unless they actually give a damn, that is, like in Ghost in the Shell and Initial D 4th Stage.

If you kno the kishimoto twins then you must know there works. The older brother Masashi is responsible for the world famous series naruto. while the younger less famous twin, seishi, is responsible for the less famous manga series 666Satan(:s i hate the name). Both of these works are undeniable good to some extent. However the younger brother has recieved accusations of plagiarism, and if you read the mangas (www.stoptazmo.com) you will see many similarites, however is it fair to say that there has been some form of copying going on?

Oh and feel free to talk about 666satan cos it absolutely roks.

Seeing how Elfen Lied ended, that gave me a heartache after the wonderful last minutes display of Lucy, Kouta and their flashback. Whether she died or survived, it's up 2 fan speculation as said in Wikipedia.
So let's try and speculate things!!
The last few minutes of Elfen Lied was taken in Summertime, because Yuka, Nana and Mayu were wearing clothes with no sleeves.(Not 2 mention there were sounds of crickets in summer) Then there was a guest at the door. Kouta went to see who it was.
Wanta(Mayu's puppy) looked extremely happy as it tried to run forward despite the leash. If you look closely to the door, u'll c a shadow. Lucy/Nyu lost both horns, but if u c how the skirt is shaped and the way the shape of the head is, it could closely resemble Lucy's/Nyu's body. So she's alive.
Then again, there's the part where Lucy's horn broke and Nana had flashback onto Mariko and Lucy(Mariko died) and Yuka decide to set an extra bowl for Nyu, but she wasn't there. So we could say she died. Or went missing since an extra bowl means anything.
I hope to believe that's Lucy/Nyu at the front door and she had been gone for some time before summer. She came back home after beating SAT and decide to approach against Director Kakuzawa and wipe out the research centre through some plan she conjure up to eradicate anyone who's after her.

thanks for all your replies guys that helped me alot. glad there are still people out there who love this great anime and yeah a new series would be great and i wouldn't care about the art much it's the charecters and story that make the anime, good art would just be a bonus.

Like that Naruto vs white eyed kid gif. Sure, it's from the anime, but that was during that chunin exam crap, right? if so, that fight had to be chorieographed by Kishimoto himself. And it synchs up almost perfectly with a scene from the cowboy bebop movie.

Rumro has it the bebop scene was ganked from a bruce lee flick, but really. Did they have to use the same scene bebop did, from the same angles? Thats like...double plagarism

i agree with reffer there. a gun uses a long range easy shot, with one hit KO, but with a sword, you need skill, speed, strenght, and practice. you need practice to use a gun, but not much. i dont think some 4 year old could use a sword but he/she could defintely use a gun to kill someone. too easy for a person to use

Heres how ive always seen it. With guns you have two choices, skilled or unskilled. The problem is with either one its very easy to kill someone.

With swords you have the same choice. Except the unskilled will most likely die very fast, and the skilled will live much longer.

In my mind guns are just to easy and down make for a good show. however there are exeptions, such as when in a anime/manga/whatever there are guns but there very unreliable unless your trained, or theres a ligitamate way to negate the use of guns. Then i think guns can be fun, otherwise swords ftw.

its pretty easy as hell. Take off the safety if there is one. Pull back the hammer, if there is one. And pull the trigger(sometimes thats all u have too do)

can i have both? characters who use swords are cool because to be an effective swordsman, they really need enough practice and mastery over their weapon while those who use guns (only the good ones like Sanzo in Saiyuki Reload and the main character in Trigun) need great accuracy to be able to hit their targets bullseye.

Dragonball for sure. It was original and funny at that point. Then in DBZ, they spent on average 2.5 episodes just one person powering up. THE MOST ridiculous oen was Trunks against perfect cell, he littereally powered up for like 4 episodes! DBGT was good but so completely surreal, they were soooooo strong it became fake. For example, ultimate battles such as Goku SSJ4 vs. Babi Vegeta level 4 were like they were moving slower than normal SSJ1. Yet they are infinately stronger. If they technically got that much stronger, they would fight and beat each other silly to the verge of death in about an eye blink. That power was to surreal, like they could just throw a punch and the force would be so strong the earth could blow up. *shruggs*

Hmm, pretty much what wr said, plus, I like to see people grow and develop, like a long anime that has a storyline of a few years, showing someone growing, and becoming better at whatever it is they do, and changing.
That kind of thing just makes me happy.
Yeah watching em grow is real fun I like that in all kinds of stuff like boy meets world's not bad since it was a extremely long series. But it makes me sad when a series I really get into is coming to a end hint hint Eureka SeveN and I really got to know the characters and I have a strong feeling it's gonna end lame and kill off tons of people -.- but it's part of the anime experience it's sad to see things end but they're not real and you gotta remember that.

the story plot,the characters,the background and the logical sense of the story of the anime makes it appealing to me.some how it also just to relax my mind and waste by time watching it since i don't watch and tv series and movies.

Same as you guys... But when it ends don't you feel all depressed or sad. I know for my first anime Escaflowne I felt so sad at the end of it...

And it's not so much ignorance as me stating my opinion as I post. Just because your manga is #6 doesn't mean you have talent. It means you just got lucky =p

Naruto is just following in DB's footsteps. (someone explain to me how it's so popular? Seriously, it's horrible.)

Please show he what why of "talent" you have that lets you pass such judgement. <---and english please?

i like dbz the best but i only liked the saiyan saga to the end of the freiza saga... dragonball was good too cos of the comedy and action but i liked the story for dbz better, dbgt in my opinion was the worst outta the 3, i didnt like the design of super saiyan 4 and the new villains [though bebi looked ok] and the story was kinda crap too

GT shouldn't even be counted due to the fact it was a completely fake filler series made by Toei. All Akira did was DB and DBZ. He had absolutely nothing to do with GT.

I'd say DBZ, I loved it so much. And I think I'm the only one who actually liked the Buu saga...

If I watch a movie/real life tv show, I always find myself criticizing the graphics, effects, bad acting, etc. In anime you get all that exactly as it was intended because its put onto paper the way the artist wanted It to be done! Also, anime isn’t like normal animated stories, in so far as it has a more adult audience, so you still get all the action, blood and awesome storyline! So that’s cool.

Something I also find cool is the way it makes you think about accepted norms and question things around you. That’s another part I enjoy.

One piece is at chapter 418 now. Thats quite a lot of time for to improve.
Zoro can move much faster than bullets
Zoro can cut the air
He can fight as if he has 9 swords while using three blades
Can cut steel
can pick up buildings with ease
With help from Luffy busted through the biiggest tital wave ever recorded

Dude, that only sums up how powerful hes gotten. XD

And those there may not seem very impressive but once you watch it in action, you'll understand.

DBZ, hands down. Buuhan, I liked the Buu saga as well. And IMO, the Buu saga had the best music.

Dragon Ball was eh.. I could never really get into it.

GT just sucked. I hate how they destroyed Uub's character.. I mean, he is the reincarnation of Kid Buu right? After training with Goku, his power should have been near (not as strong as)Kid Buu's. Then he fused with Majiin Buu.. He should have been a little stronger than an SSJ3, but he still got his ass kicked left and right.. :sad:

But when stating your opinion, there is no need to blanketly insult everyone who likes the manga, calling them mindless and the like. No reason to be a rude SOB because of your own issues. An "opinion" would be soemthig nalong the lines of. "Well, I am not a fan of Kishi's work at all, and I find it pretty amusing that he would go so far as to accuse his own brother of plagerism. wow..." See, same thing, but no need to recklessly insult other people. That is called flaming, and is not allowed here.

Also, please tell me how being the #6 top manga is being lucky? It's not like he tripped one day, stood up and had money shooting out his ear's. He produced a manga, which a majority of manga readers find enjoyable. many of which also enjoy Bleach, so i guess Bleach was complete luck also. right? DBZ was good for it's time, even if it was mostly power-uping constantly, that is what was interesting. I personally liked Yu Yu Hakusho far more, which was the #2 manga after DBZ for 4 years, but i dont go around bashing people who i dont like thier opinions.

I dont have any talent that lets me say "This Manga blows, this one is teh ubarz!" Hense the reason i havn't stated such. Also, 98% of the time, I post a work, so it is very rushed, and i am fairly multi-tasked. so if you dont like my typo's and grammar errors, well i guess you are SOL.
