Mhmm, I watched all 23 episodes a while ago. I jumped into the Manga for a while afterwards. I like both the Anime and the Manga, although they're different. I liked the direction that the Anime took though. Nevertheless, I miss Saya. Train Heartnet is one of my favourite male protagonists in Anime and Sven slightly reminds me of Urahara.

Sessy's father who was many many many times stronger than him was not that fast. In his last stand sort of thing it took him many seconds to run to the weird human stronghold. Byakuya would have shunpo'd there in a second. The humans were firing arrows at him and he got hit by some O_O!!! There were only about 20-50 arrows fired so how do you think he would deal with millions of blades? Once you have thought of that then think about how Sessy, a weaker and slower character, would deal with them.

Inuyasha characters are mini Bleach characters at best =/

Have you seen what Bleach chracters are capable of when seriously wounded? At the very least they wont get hit by slow arrows.

I LUVED this series its alot to take in but it just shows once you understand it just how much work had to go in to creating this series, especially since it was a short series...and i know everyone has beef with the last two episodes...but the reason it was done was when it first came out it wasn't well accepted so he jsut made a quick ending thinking no one would care and wouldn't loose any more money on trying to produce g00d ones...but soon after a cult following occured and these fans demanded a proper ending, he actually puts the hate mail he recieved in the final 2 movies...so really true fans do not even consider the final 2 episodes part of the series and just jump straight to the additional 2 movies...i think everyone should give this one a chance...*smiles*

I liked this anime too. Personally I liked Honoka better as a character. "Is this like...an indirect kiss?" Haha. But obviously that's not what they were going for ;). The ending was good for the anime, but the manga goes further.

I actually heard about this awhile ago through a post on AP.
I think it could be a very good thing, i was quite dissapointed with the ending, both in the tv series and the movie, though less in the movie but i still left open holes a crazy things just to a lesser extent.
Hopefully what they'll do is keep there underlying personalities, just not the dissorders which are the reason for there personalities, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revival_of_evangelion i believe its somewhere in there or at least is on wikipedia it explains which personality disorders there personalities are based on(the 4 main characters), the director did this because either at the time or soon before he was suffering from severe depression.
and also make new angels or whatever cause a i dont want to see the old ones again, just defeated in new ways or something, though i do suppose this may be to much of a change it there gunna keep it a "remake/"new creation"".
one last thing that would be nice if they update the characters styles to something closer to present day, mostly because they're how old now?

i know these points are a bit unfair, but this is why Naruto characters have no chance of winning against 90%^ of the cast of Bleach.

3) The can't hurt em

Shunpo is fast enough to kill any Naruto character without em noticing it.
Take a look at Byakuya vs Ichigo the first time, and when we know that no Naruto character is able to dodge bullets... That gives the answer.

Do keep in mind this is GAINAX, DB. The only non-comedy show anime they've done that is really good (as in not OVERHYPED CRAP) is Gunbuster.

Of course, now that Anno is on anti-depressants, perhaps EVA will finally be a non-garbled mess consisting of misinterperated motives and an overly depressed dude's social commentary on bullshit no one cares about.

If you take them out of the mix, then it would come down to a good storyline, enough character development to leave the viewer feeling as though they've been best friend's with the character for year's, humor which isn't always slapstick, dramatic defeat's and inspiring high's.

Now, If you can get all of that into one, then tel us the anime, because they're very rare.

The best you could hope for is a few of these.

Inuyasha would be in there, especially if the list was decided in terms of sucsess. popularity, though is another thing.

I definitely do not agree with that top ten. They aren't horrible, but definitely not top ten material. I've never read Slam Dunk, Phoenix, or Black Jack, but judging by the plots I don't think I'd like them(no offence of course to those who do read them ^^). Phoenix I've never even read of o.O I hear people talk about Slam Dunk quite a bit, but I'm not into sports animes/mangas that much. FMA definitely deserves to be up there, as well as Death note..and maybe DBZ..it wasn't a good manga but it was insanely popular so it cant be denied top ten! Everyone's heard of DBZ..

As for the anime list I really like how Mushishi is up there, as well as FMA (again). NGE deserves to be up there but not number 1 o.O

I'm not surprised Bleach and Naruto aren't up there. Even though they are insanely popular now, it depends on when the poll was taken. I guess Naruto will never be up there though..it will go down in history as a horrible show no matter what. The fillers have just destroyed what good reputation it ever had and the animators have completely milked it for all its worth. The animators in Japan and the USA are making a buttload of money off it o.O

Bleach might be there one day..it won't be number one, but I think it at least deserves to be in the list of top 20. I'm also not surprised Inuyasha isnt up there. It was a success, but not many people I talk to know about it or have read/watched the series.

In my opinion, what makes an anime popular is:
-The plot
-The characters
-How cool are the characters
-How the author combines serious plot with stupid actions
-Humour.
