Ok right now im in the mood for some extremly violence bloody anime right now, been watchin too much funny or violent/love story animes, and i was wondering what is the most violent anime people have seen(ones with love stories do count).
guess the first one that comes to mind for me would have to be Elfen Lied.

I think it was the name. My friend let me borrow like the first two episodes and I was deeply disturbed. I mean there was blood splashing everywhere. What really creep me out the most is that the girl cut off the other girl's fingers and arms. Then proceeded to cutting off her legs. I was like WTF!!!!!

Ikkitousen is the anime. Battle Vixens is the manga.

I saw Ichi the Killer -movie with real actors and it's very bloody and gruesome! There's an animemovie made of it too but I haven't seen it. I would presume that it's as gruesome as the one with real actors.

Shinsen Subs is subbing this series right now. After seeing the first 2 episodes, it feels a lot like Samurai Deeper Kyo, with swordsmenship mixed along with some magical things. It indeed is interesting, but I haven't found it to be very good yet.

I'll go with Elfen Lied being the most bloody anime I've seen. Berserk and Basilisk are both pretty violent too, but doesn't have an unusual amount of gore that Elfen Lied has. Honestly, If Elfen Lied didn't have the amount of gore it did, along with the killing of innocent people (like the assistant), kids, and everything else in between, I wouldn't have felt much. Instead, I feel that it's a very powerful series and like it a lot.

Hahaha, I was all "ZOMG KICK THEIR ASSES, LUCY~", and then they're nothing but guts on the floor. But yeah, that part really disturbed me; even more so than the human characters dying. I guess it was because those kids were totally FUCKING insane.

Narutaru beats out Elfen Lied on the violence level, though. That anime wasn't really....what I was expecting. ._.

I just recently started watching the anime, and its art style is very similar to Yu YU Hakusho. The action is pretty good, and I'm noting a few similarities to Naruto.

This anime isn't about war or something like that. I think, like Inuyasha. It's about a male named Kantarou (called Kan) who is a priest from Tokyo. This story is taken on the year of Old Japan. Maybe after world war 2. There is no such thing as a girl falling on a well and sent to another time. No. No at all. In episode 1, it shows that Kan was searching for an goblin-eating ogre. Well, I guess you need to watch it. If you like Inuyasha so much, look forward to Tactics! (I can't believe that the goblin-eating ogre is so hansome!)

Well it's not what you are looking for (ie a site with direct downloads) but for older anime I use DC++. It's a sharing program and you are almost guaranteed to find what you are looking for (DB is guaranteed). I've gotten pleanty of old 'extinct' animes from it.

However if you can find fast torrents that's the way to go.

1. None of that matters. I bet I can pwn your Ivy with Talim in any SC game. It depends on the player, not the character. kthx.

If you think that the character has no effect on someones odds of winning, your wrong. Certan characters have natural advantages over others, some are flat out better (Xanghua in SC2, is the best example). A skilled Rapheal user is not going to be able to beat an equilly skilled user of Xanghua, Taki, or Ivy as Raph is seen as one of the worst characters in the game.

2. How you gonna stand there, and say that Ivy isn't cheap? It's a known fact that her moves are very cheap. Doesn't matter if you're fighting the CPU Ivy on hard, or an Ivy expert. Hell.. Even a button masher can get a few of her cheap moves in. ktx.

How is Ivy cheap. She is one of the hardest characters in the game to play effectively, has a very large moveset and still, despite her range and power is far from invincible. And a person trying button mash Ivy is a dead man. She is the lest friendly button mashing character in the game (the only other person who might be tougher to button mash with is Astorath.)

Oh yes, and don't go around thinking that Talim is that great either. I play an Astorath that eats Talim for breakfast. And you don't even want to know what I can do to her with Taki.

For those who don't know what OS-Tan is, its an anime personification of various operating systems as people (mostly girls) that has been quite popular in Japan on the Futaba Channel as sort of a funny mini series the past couple of years.

Operating systems are personified by how they preform, for instance ME is a clumsy idiot girl always causing problems, doing stupid stuff like putting a can of soda in the microwave, or losing her temper with a ! on her chest, 95 always wears a komono, XP has a large chest and so on.

To take the art of Ninjutsu and use It to the fullest....simply amazing

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh please. Masashi Kishimoto's work is hardly amazing. It's more or less a DBZ knockoff with Ninjas (and don't give me the all shounen = dbz BS. One Piece is nothing like DBZ in most aspects. I'm talking character designs, event similarities, etc)


Anyways, originality is very hard to come by. I don't think Originality is a key so much as execution. You can take something used very often and make it brilliant.

Example: Berserk takes the usual revenge plot and fantasy aspects, and then puts it's own twist on them, making it quite the awesome story that is unique in it's own ways.

Kinoko Nasu's work takes vampires and magicians and other common concepts and makes them incredibly itricate or unique to the point you go "thats Nasu!"

It is hard to find a full on anime which is actually original. It's too easy to say that 'this happened there' and I've seen that before.

I would take a small aspect of an anime and claim it as original. For example, BLEACH has a protagonist who act's like a regular person when doing anything(except for when he's fighting a hollow, but what do you expect?)

One Piece Has basically used the namesake of "Pirate's" and created a legend around it , one which has never been seen before.

Initial D took driving and made it look damn cool. In an catagory where more-often then not, the bad guy get's a super power and is able to destroy thing's and all that stuff. This actually had almost any small insiginificant reference of that sort as a metephor for what the car's potential had. Of course that's not to say it's original, just more refreshing to see it.

Anime and manga tend to be not so very original due to their increasing number......but still one anime that I enjoyed and considered to be very original(havn't seen one like it) was The Melancholy of Suzumyia Haruhi....From the very first episodes i was like ....WTH is this?...but it attracts u and makes u watch the next episode(although is they are not placed in chronological order)....originality is somehow loosing in front of plain commercial anime and manga......

I would have to disagree with hasuke, I don't think Naruto is anything like DBZ. DBZ is all about raw power, whereas naruto has far more strategy involved. About the most interesting "special ability" you see in DBZ is garlic jr/cell/buu's ability to regenerate all their wounds (unless of course you hit them *really* hard). My favorite part of naruto is the massive variety of fighting styles and jutsus. you just don't see fights like neji vs. kidomaru in DBZ, because they're too busy tossing world-destroying fireballs at each other. The characters in Naruto are also a lot deeper. It's a very original anime in my opinion.

Well, since Fate/Stay Night is an Very good anime ( my second favorite anime after BLEACH ), Fate/Hollow Ataraxia is sequel of F/SN i really hope F/HA is made to an anime too. So how's everyone opinion? ( honestly i never play the game both F/SN and F/HA, but since F/SN is very good and had the saddest ending i think, although arc Heaven's feel from the game is said to be saddest ending and true ending of F/SN game and many resources said F/HA is as good as F/SN ).

i think it all depends on what you want from an anime. naruto is actually more adult then bleach. people die (especially in the manga) and there are emotional problems. i also think that bleach has copied a lot of the things from naruto e.g. the kyuubi in naruto and
the hollow in ichigo
the training to utilise there powers is similar aswell.
overall i don't think you can say one is better then the other as there both very good- although bleach fillers are much better then naruto ones- its just which you prefer.
i think overall there both as good as each other.

What specific scenes in anime shows have made you cry? This thread is for those who really don't cry much, like myself. I've only cried three times in anime:

In Eureka Seven, when Renton first learns of Eureka's past with the SOF, and she starts crying. I'm a fanboy for Eureka, so that actually made me cry when she started crying.

And then in Fullmetal Alchemist, when Maes Hughes was shot by Envy. I was crying during the funeral... T.T

The last time... call me cheesy, but when the Legendary Maneuver was completed in the last episode of Kaleido Star's first season, it was honestly so awesome it brought tears to my eyes. :biggrinlo

Hmmm... I think I'm going with Vash. Both characters are very strong (well, we're not taking into consideration that Vash ultimate weapon) and they have very different weapons. A gun is faster but a katana causes more damage. In that case, and being aware of Vash shooting abilities, Vash would defeat kenshin.
The thing is that would be a very interesting fight, but it would be more interesting between two characters using the same weapon.

No, F/HA will not be. For one thing, it's plot just reveals more aspects of the Nasuverse, such as the servant that tainted the grail, Lancer's master, etc etc etc.

It's technically set in a loop world Bazett is stuck in, and as such, doesn't really take place in reality. I wasn't very fond of F/HA. Bazett is pretty fine though...

Anyways, long answer made short, no. it won't be as far as I know.

Okay, this is the last time I'm pairing anybody up against Alucard. Nerds honor. Anyways, what do you do? I know Aizen's illusion skills are mad, but Alucard's powers include being able to utilize illusion as well. Plus, even if Alucard does get under Aizen's spell, how the hell do you kill the dude?!
Also it seems that it would be impossible to catch Alucard off guard so that Aizen could get him under his spell.
I vote for Alucard yet again maybe even with just level one powers. I don't know if its possible to kill the man....monster...whatever he is...

Ryuk can't be cut,shot or hurt in any way. A Death Note shinigami can only be killed either by the King of the Dead or by using his Death Note to prolong someones life.

Ichigo can't touch Ryuk,and possibly while Ichigo is hitting Ryuk,Light writes Kurosaki Ichigo in the Death Note.

There's a big fundamental difference between Bleach and Death Note Shinigami.
While Bleach Shinigami like Ichigo and Rukia are vulnerable to injury,Death Note Shinigami like Ryuk and Rem are essentially invulnerable.

I'll make a comparisson. Some Death Note manga spoilers here.

Death Note Shinigami (example Ryuk)
- Can't be hurt by anything in any world due to massive harvesting of human life energy.
- Are mortal but can prolong their life by killing humans before their time has come and absorbing the remaining energy.
- Can be killed by the King of the Dead.
- Will turn to ash if using Death Note to kill someone who would otherwise kill a another person if by doing so they prolong the victims intentionally.
- Exist to kill and harvest souls.

Bleach Shinigami(example Ichigo)

- Can be hurt by attacks from spiritual beings (hollows) or blast of spiritual energy (Quincy arrows).
- Are immortal.
- Exist to kill hollows and save souls.
- Can be killed if wounded enough.


So the big difference is that nothing (not even Zanpaktous) can harm Ryuk while Ryuk can harm Bleach shinigami. Though we don't know if Death Note works on Bleach shinigami. But since Bleach shinigami can die and Death Note ones can't I believe Death Note works on everything that can die.

Theres a script somewhere but Im lazy so heres basically what happens:
-We see shanks and WB go at it.

-We learn that Shanks and buggy used to be crew members of Roger.

-We see BB and parts of his crew again. And maybe a new character of his crew, as I don't remember who "Ogre" was.

-We see Ace, and will possibly see some sort of confrontation next week between these two.

-We meet the captain of the first and third WB division fleets. Whom if we go by rank, one of them is stronger than Ace, and the other is is probably near in power.

-We see Beckman, Lucky Roux, and Yassop again.

-We learn that WB is more of a threat, than we originally thought.

-BB might be going after Luffy now.

There's something about freezing people down to the bone which seems cool.

Ryuk can't be cut,shot or hurt in any way. A Death Note shinigami can only be killed either by the King of the Dead or by using his Death Note to prolong someones life.

Ichigo can't touch Ryuk,and possibly while Ichigo is hitting Ryuk,Light writes Kurosaki Ichigo in the Death Note.

I'dd have to give this one to the Death Note pair :p

Which FanSub group is good for this one? I want to be consistant and therefore want to dl the 1st episode with the right sub group so I dont get mix up... right now i am downloading from shinsen-subs, the other subbing groups seem to be slower then shinsen-subs but i think they translate it slightly better then shinsen-subs... they both have good subbing in my opinion and i think the differences are very little

Action - Black Lagoon, I feel Air Master should go here too for the sheer fact the fights were awesome

Samurai - Rurouni Kenshin Tsuikohen, and the Tokyo & Kyoto arcs of the anime (fillers were sub par)
Gore - I don't know if Berserk would count as gore so much as action, considering the anime is tame in comparison to the manga.

Saw this anime when I was in elementary school....
(maybe same years back as kaede) yup... really nice...
*the anime was showing in two channels at the same time*
I sooo love the characters.... *ish drooling over smexyness*
the fight scenes are cool and I like the weapons they use...

certain Devil Fruits Powers may look lame, but it depends on how you use it. like the one Kaku ate the "Ushi Ushi no Mi Model: Giraffe" ! At first I was like nooooo wha the hell is that? but he could Rankyaku'd a whole building!!!!!

for some reason i think the next filler will start here, where he mentions the "adams tree". i can even see the plot now.....the tree in which franky was gonna use to make the ship will get stolen (not sure how you steal something that big though >_>) then luffy and crew plus franky will get it back and back to the manga AGAIN

The thing that I really really really Like about One Piece is that it only keep getting better and better, pasts are being revealed, more mysterious characters more new devil fruit powers, every chapter is like a new world (to me)! I Like IT ALOT!

well I'll name a few reasons as to "Why I Like One Piece"! if I could write everything I like about it, It would be enough the make a whole thread of of it, with almost 10 or more pages! and we don't want that!

- I like everthing about Luffy, every single thing! his name Monkey D. Luffy, clothes, way of speaking, Devil fuit powers, moves, and the way he imitates others just cracks me up! jus every thing!
- I like the characters, since you'll always know why they act certain ways wich may be because somethin that happened in their past!
- I like the whole Pirate thing, you learn alot! some of the names that they use in One piece are actually names of real pirates that really existed! like Edward Newgate, Blackbeard, Marshall D Teach etc.
- And the thing I like the most RIGHT NOW is that One Piece only keeps getting better and better!!! (thanx to Oda)

there's alot more I like, like the comedy, the fights, the mystery's etc!

I like One Piece because the genre of the anime is mostly adventure and stuffs...
and I soo love Luffy... hehe... he's totally funny....
and the pirate stuffs are really cool...

Mizu Mizu no Mi (Water Water fruit)? I know it couldn't, shouldn't and doesn't exist BUT? what IF it existed, yes what if, since we know there's three types of devil fruits ;
1.) Paramecia-type (Luffy,Buggy,Alvida,Mr.5,Wapol,Bellamy,Blueno etc...)
2.) Zoan-type (Chopper,Lucci,Kaku,Jyabura,Dalton,Pell,Chaka etc...)
3.) Logia-type (Eneru,Ace,Smoker,Crocodile,Aokiji etc.)
it would obviously be a Logia type since Logia is the rarest of the three groups of Devil Fruit. the user may actually become a natural element in its entirety. Ever since their abilities are gained, they are neither completely human nor element in their default state! so what if the Mizu Mizu no Mi Existed ???? what could the user do with that Power????
