most of my friends watch anime and i have never met anybody who openly bashes it. my mum is possibly the only person who doesnt understand why i keep watching "cartoons". i can honestly say that the anime i watch is more thought provoking and interesting than the soaps she watches and the magazines she reads.

honestly speaking, those who dont appreciate something they have never experienced are just ignorant and i wouldnt listen to people with such closed minds in the first place. what someone said about likening anime to foreign films is very correct, it is just another form of media that one should be exposed to. being bilingual i watch a lot of films from both chinese and english production and listen to both languages in music. i also listen to japanese music even though i dont understand much of it.

sometimes you dont need to understand to appreciate something, and some people just dont want to expose themselves to a wider base of knowledge because of peer pressure or other factors.

I noticed this too it has to do with R and L letters in japanese langauges just like when you hear it in sounds like their saying ZOLO in japanese. (but you have to listen good)
Also listen to some blecah eps. when they say Orihime's name too. this also happened to a lot anime that are in the US like Shaman King's Tao Ren is now just "Len" and in and Lupin the third the character Lupin is "Rupan" in japanese languages mabye this was helpful if not maybe someone else can explain this even better than this.

Yes I know of the R and L in Japanese, but his official name is Zoro, also he was ZORO in Shonen Jump, but then when 4Kids decided to change his name to Zolo, so did SJ! That is why I'm so mad. Also, they nearly ruined the story by saying that Kuina, the girl who Zoro considered a rival when he was young, did not die like it said in both the anime and manga but she became like sick forever and could never fight again. So whats worse, living knowing you're dream will never come true or death. Swordsmen would probably say "death" That is PRETTY messed up.

But I can tell you why it's popular. Although Rumiko's art isn't very flashy, the plot line is completely fantastic and wonderful... maybe that's why she's sucking the LIFE out of it. It might not ever end, even though it's rumored to be ending this year (YEAH..I KNOW!).

Hmm... I can't really have an opinion on the matter because I kinda got bored with Inuyasha, but I can agree with everyone when I say that you should never EVER watch dubbed anime. Especially when it comes to America! Take Sailor Moon for instance. In the American version it's all goody goody and crap but did you know in the Japanese version it revolves around sex and stuff!! A friend told me about this anime/manga (anime for me) on MSN. I couldn't believe it, but being that I'm a huge fan of bread I downloaded the first episode... and, eh.. wow. I had to rewind and watch the intro a few times just to see if my brain was actually reading it right. o_O

I'm not sure if that wow is good or bad really. It leaves me extremely confused and somewhat "fuzzy-happy". But it really is very funny as people say. Good for many laughs, the bread looks sooooo delicious (I want!! xD) but a bit.. light and weird plot overall.

I'm not a big fan of the Inuyasha dub...I just love the subbed movies like movies 3 and 4. One reason I don't like the animes are the fillers! There are soo many fillers! But I like the VA for Inuyasha in Japanese, I think Kappei is good for him. Personally manga is better.

HUMM.. I'm not sure! Usual CLAMP series have only lasted 26 episodes (ex. X-1999 + movie, Chobits, and Angelic Layer). It depends on the manga, which is still running!

Cardcaptor Sakura, however, had several, several episodes, but they did add more scenarios in that series (ex. Meiling).

So, we'll just have to see! Oh, also expect the upcoming Tsbuasa Chronicle MOVIE!! =O

3) Lacus (Gundam SEED/Destiny).
Annoying, bubble-headed, all-righteous, silly THING. Her attitude suggests that she still believes babies come from the cabbage patch. Oh! Maybe she's amish!

Hmmm... my sister was looking for this recently. She pretty much forced me to download it, but I typically am a little scared of mass-downloading a LISCENSED series. Not the greatest idea, if you get my drift. Regardless, she took my own katana and pointed it at me... pretty much forcing me to go through with it. She can be scary... :eek13:

Anyway, the torrentreactor torrents aren't all that great. The download speed is pretty slow. In addition, they seem to be dieing off. My sister wanted the Japanese episodes... but they were the SLOWEST to download, and they were dieing off fast. I got to episode 21, but had to resort to english dubs after that. Of course... she almost killed herself after hearing the dub... but that is besides the point...

Erm... what was the point of that? Oh yea! Ok, if you don't mind English dubs (I believe all the Jap downloads died off), and slow download speeds (and of course the risk of downloading that stuff), then I say go for it. Have fun. :headbang:

1. chris (from sonic x, not sure if anime though...) that kid is so annoying especially the way he talks (but that could be cos i watched the dub version...) sonic x was a pretty boring series too and sonic was about to leave chris's world to go back to his own world and end the series but chris didnt let him and this caused another ep!
2. yugi (yugioh) i hate this dude with all his heart of the cards stuff and wins the duel when the odds r way against him then kaiba loses when he believes in the heart of the cards
3. kaiba (yugioh) he believes in the heart of the cards but he loses and yugi wins
4. tea (yugioh) annoying character! almost does nothing in the series (from wat i have watched anyway) and mostly she is just annoying
5. kurotsuchi mayuri (bleach) kinda annoying voice and he looks like a clown, wat a freaky clown too...

To be precise Fumoffu is a side story. It does happen in the novels, and a Fumoffu character is shown in TSR (back of Ren's head was shown in episode 3) and possibly more will be in a future episodes

Hmmmm... I thought it was decent. Some of the characters got a little annoying with the whole "love-story" aspect. They couldn't just say it, after nearly two hundred episodes. That actually got annoying, especially with the addition of Kikyo. While the anime seemed to have an interesting aspect for quite some time; it eventually got dull. For me, this was because they just DRAGGED IT OUT. First Naraku had some power, but as soon as Inuyasha got something to beat him up with; Naraku just powered up somehow, and beat them all up anyway. Then, despite multiple occurences where he could kill his obvious enemies... he just lets them go. Unrealistic. Then to top it off, they have ALOT of "filler" episodes where just about NOTHING of importance happens, and these can sometimes occur a few times in a row.

Horrible anime? I wouldn't say so, but it DOES have a lot of faults as a whole. They just wouldn't let it end, and then eventually ended it in a rather RANDOM point; accomplishing nothing. Very pointless, and the recent movie does not help clarify anything either; which is even more disappointing...
