This is just like the Sasuke vs Renji thread.

Renji isn't that tough actually. It won't be an "OMFG! *Renji ficks Naruto* *Naruto dies*" fight. Renji, the last time I checked(haven't read the manga), can't Shunpo. Naruto would run circles around him, just like Sasuke would.

Naruto 1 - Much faster.
Renji 0 - Kinda slow for a VC..

Renji is definately tougher than Naruto, and can take more damage, but that doesn't really matter if he can't touch him. Naruto has great stamina, seeing as he uses two different sets of Chakra. Just when Renji thinks Naruto is done, he'll come back, significantly stronger with Kyuubi's Chakra.

Naruto 2 - Higher stamina, and the element of surprise. (second set of chakra)
Renji 1 - Can take more physical damage.

Renji's Shikai is far too slow to touch Naruto, and his Bankai sucks. It's just large, and can cover more space. Not necessarily fast.

For some reason, people think that it's speed is equal to Byakuya's. This is entirely wrong. It doesn't matter how fast you are, if the object you're dodging is that much larger than you, and can take up more space than you, then it would appear that it is moving as fast as you. Which is not always the case..

So, as much as I hate Naruto (that little orange freak!), I'll have to go with him in this fight. It won't be an easy battle for him either. Naruto would have to constantly dodge Renji's attacks, while using his 2 chakra sets, jutsus, and completely random style of fighting to win.

Stop picking on Renji T_T. I'm gonna say this, most Naruto characters are slowing than Bleach characters. With the exception of some characters from arc two. Renji has binding kidou and Naruto also can't keep in Kyuubi state for very long in the first place. My thought is this: Renji continually binds Naruto while using desructive kidou arts on him. Eventually Naruto will crumple like a withered leaf.

First reaction to this thread: Renji would win
After some thought: Naruto would win.

Of course there's a big gap between the 'Naruto' character's and Bleach characters! For a start, the characters in Naruto are kids. So, suppose they were of equal age and experience? The victor would have to be Naruto.

Even assuming they're about equal in physical attributes, naruto is a moron whose only combat tactic is to create a bunch of shadow clones to get in close and use rasengan. Remember how much trouble ichigo had with zabimaru before he figured out it could only attack three times? Naruto wouldn't ever put that together unless he had sakura or lee or someone on the sidelines to tell him.

Personally, i think naruto would have a lot of trouble dodging renji's attacks, especially in bankai when he can detach the segments. Even byakuya, who is clearly much faster than naruto, had to put out a little effort to dodge renji's bankai. I don't recall naruto being especially fast in the first place, even in kyuubi mode.

1: Was shot in the forehead twice in the head within one minute.
2: Impaled though the heart multiple times.
3. Impaled though the torso 5 times simultaneously .
4. Had a motorcycle blow up in his face.
5. Punched the blade of a katana so hard the blade went into his wrist.
6. Ran down the side of a building at such a speed he was burning up in the atmosphere.

And about Byakuya; Like I've said before.. Renji's Bankai is large, and thus hard to dodge. It's speed is nothing to Byakuya.

I think that Byakuya was Shunpoing from side-to-side, right? A snake slithers from side-to-side. When Byakuya got to where he was Shunpoing, the snake was ready for him. It had nothing to do with speed. It was it's size, and probably the fact that it saw Byakuya's pattern.

I have established no such notion. being immortal does not make one awesome. In fact, that is why Alucard fails. He just CAN'T DIE. Pair it with some pseudo hardass personality, and it's all in all a character done before.

In closing:

Arrogant smart ass + Unkillable = boring unlikable character for many people (namely people who understand that the character, who is unkillable, has no real reason to be a "bad ass" if anything, the character wouldn't have that personality at all)
Well, not all characters are traditional shonen jump stereotypes that have to face death every fight and always have some powerul enemy that is more powerful than them. Alucard has a lot more depth and personality than most think. Don't look at the anime to make up your mind about him. In the manga, especially the recent chapters, a lot about him is revealed, even a scene from his pre-vampire childhood. If you read up to the last chapter of the manga, you can see how complex he really is. The fact that he is immortal only makes him unique, not boring, i don't ever remember a character like him. And he CAN lose in a fight, though i doubt he can be destroyed.

This is what i meant when i said that some of my favorite animes aren't in either shonen or shojo. In fact, 5 of my top 10 favorite animes are in the list that you presented: Gankutsuo, Berserk, Hellsing, Trigun and Akira.

Also, I just thought of another seinen magazine: Young King OURs, i think it's called. It is the one that features Hellsing and Trigun Maximum.

Your appaulingly wrong. Ichigo isnt any of those and he could own Naruto characters (Ok Ill admit that was cheap...but proper arguments coming up). Any VC we have seen fight or even a glimpse at their reiatsu (Yachiru) could. Id even give the win to 3rd seats such as Ikkaku or even 4ths like Yumichika. Chad could easily take them...

To make things interesting...Renji beat a vizard with a degree of ease so your argument is already out the window. Matsumoto was also able to come away with an easy win and she didnt even use bankai. While we are on the subject of beating Vizards Rukia, who doesnt hold any special rank, defeated one shockingly easily. For that matter the 3rd seat Ikkaku beat one.

Renji may not be able to perform shunpo but that doesnt mean he cant move and keep up with its speed. He did just that against Byakuya, who shunpo'd behind him from about 200 metres away. He also forced Byakuya to move much faster than this in their fight. When has Naruto or even Kyuubi shown that not only it can perform this kind of speed, but can even keep up watching it? Hell Renji's reiatsu would simply flatten Naruto in a second. You saw the kind of power Yachiru had? Renji is way older and has tons more experience than her. Which brings up another point...Renji has had over a human lifetime of combat experience. Naruto has had what? 15 years? And he never goes Kyuubi first up. Renji would slaughter him.

VC's dont have to do shit. As of right now their power is more than Naruto characters could ever dream of.

Byakuya has a little thing called Bankai. What it does is makes millions and billions of tiny blades that rush into an opponent from all sides. There is no escape. Ichigo had to slice through them individually, in an instant mind you. Now Ichigo has the ability to slice millions of tiny blades in an instant and he and Byakuya fought evenly. When has Itachi displayed such speed?

Byakuya comfortably shunpo'd behind Renji from around 200 metres away in an instant. When has Itachi displayed such capabilities?

Genjutsu takes time and is useless if he gets sliced up in a second.

Let's not forget that Byakuya knows tons of kidou and could just immobolize Itachi with Binding Art 61. And are we even sure Itachi can see Byakuya? 200 meters in less than a second = 720 kph, about the speed a bullet travels. And that's before he releases.

You've got to remember, there are alot of exceptions in the 13 Divisions. I mean, Zaraki doesn't even know his sword's name, so who says Renji has to know shunpo?
Still, i'd say Renji would shred Naruto. Were talking about Shinigami, here. Even their weakest is still a 'death god'.

And remember, Rukia is way older than she looks and we can assume that the same goes for Renji.

Renji isn't the type to use his reiatsu to pressure his opponents. It isn't an automatic thing. I believe they have to activate it. Think about it. The 5th seats and below would be squashed every time they even looked at their captains. So, one would think that it is a technique that has to be activated by summoning their reiatsu. Renji wouldn't do that.

Hmmm... I think Itachi. Ichigo's all very good and powerful with his big bad sword in shikai and his little, fast sword in bankai, I'll acknowledge that. But I think Itachi's just got more abilities overall; Mangekyo isn't the only thing he's got to fight with, remember. He didn't become a member of ANBU as such a young age without reason.

Both of them are kind of prodigies, though. I mean, Itachi with all his Sharingan and ANBU at a young age and Ichigo basically achieving Captain-level power and beyond in a short space of time... I suppose the fight wouldn't be all that easy to decide the outcome of. It just seems to me that Itachi's got more up his sleeve while Ichigo's basically brute strength and speed.

That isn't any small effect. The limiters that VC and Captains have are also proof of the repercussions that can occur from spirit pressure in the real world.

Raising Ichigo as an example is a moot point. He's a pureblood and his reiatsu level grows much faster than normal shinigami due to his power's origins. Not to mention, most of his battles weren't decisive at all. If it wasn't for the aid he received, Kurosaki wouldn't be alive currently. His successes are just as much the result of luck as his explosive progression.

The people are celebrating Luffy having a bounty of 3mill Beri. The Souchou (elder) is telling everyone to quiet down. He seems to be rather negative towards the bounty. He refers to Garp negatively as well saying why would he let his grandson become like this.

Scene changes to Ussop's village.
Kaya looks over Soge Kings bounty and instantly recongnizes it as Ussop. The kids recognize his nose as well and are ecstatic its captain Ussop.

Scene changes to Zoro's village.
A student asks Zoros teacher if it was true that Pirate Hunter Zoro used to be his student. He says yes, but to not become like him. The students think its cool and Zoros teacher thinks about Zoro and what hes doing.

Scene changes to Nami's village.
Nojiko and Gen react to and have a conversation about Nami's bounty.

Scene changes to Drum island.
Dalton and Doc Kureha react to Luffys and Choppers bounty as well.

Van Auger shoots Ace. Bullets go through Ace as he activates his logia. Ace points a finger towards Auger. Bursts of fire shoot at Auger like a machine gun. Auger tries to dodge, and Burgess throws a house towards Ace.

Ace burns up into a ball of fire and the house burns.
BB: Shit! Auger! Burgess! Dont lay a hand on him. You guys dont stand a chance against that man. Back off!

Ace: Hiken.
BB: !!?
A big explosion happens.

BB crew screams and BB catches on fire. He is now all burnt up.

1. Yamamoto's(sp?) reiatsu, and Renji's reiatsu are two entirely different things. That's like comparing a drop of water to an ocean. And since they are limited, then the effect wouldn't be as severe. That, AND Naruto isn't exactly a weakling.

2. Planes was saying that Naruto was young and inexperienced. So, I stated that Ichigo was also young and inexperienced(same age in fact), and yet he managed to defeat/draw with extremely older and far more experienced fighters.

And I'm not here to debate about Ichigo. Who cares about him. It's Naruto vs Renji, and contrary to popular belief, Renji isn't an unstoppable monster. kthx.

How powerful is this Pikachu? [Do we assume the power level of Ash's Pikachu, or the power level of a wild one? Is Pikachu the standard version, or is it the "Surfing Pikachu"?]

Then, is Kon in his standard teddy bear form, or in another gigai? (human or otherwise)

If I should assume standard power levels and such, I would agree with the consensus that Pikachu would win in a one on one battle. However, Kon wouldn't be outmatched in the area of comedy relief. ^.^

1) I'm not talking about Yamamoto at all. Since you're aware of Vizards, I'd assume you would know who Yammy is since he appeared only a couple chapters after Shinji did. The character in question is far weaker than the captain commander. He's no push over though.

2) As for Ichigo, he's the worst example to use against shinigami. Strawberry
has more going for him in his respective universe than most main characters. I would elaborate more, but I'll refrain from doing so since there are some pretty big spoilers involved.

Going by the real arc, Renji has already entered the domain of power that captains possess. This is certainly without a doubt if you consider Hitsugaya captain level as well. I wouldn't say both are mid tier captain level, but inbetween low and middle on the scale. Plus, Abarai's undergone some training that without a doubt has produced results.

Ermm...first off, if anyone hadn't noticed. Renji's a shinigami. So, to put it simply:

Renji = shinigami = ghost = cannot be seen by Naruto

But since I geuss we're referring to a fair match, i guess we can take the ghost part off.

I'd say Naruto will win. At least, Naruto will win with the powers he's shown so far and renji would lose with the powers he's shown so far. Of course, this is unfair since the Bleach manga hasn't gotten to renji yet, but that doesn't matter.

Now i will back up my statement. Naruto has kyuubi mode right? When he fought with Sasuke he only activated one of the tails. He can now activate 4 of the tails at max and go crazy. With just one tail, Naruto can destroy part of a cliff. With two tails, don't you think he would be able to destroy Renji's bankai segment by segment? It's not all that hard to do since the kyuubi itself is amazingly fast. Of course, Naruto bases his strength on his kyuubi powers, while renji has a brain. Renji's bankai can whip, smack and splatter. Not much of an area to work with. Naruto's kyuubi can whip, slice, stretch, and give Naruto superspeed. Now that's a heck of a contrast.

My vote was for that "It would be a good fight, but Naruto will win". Naruto won't own renji hands down, since renji's still got some good points (like kidou). Naruto will also slowly deteriorate under kyuubi mode, and I'm sure renji would notice that. At his point, renji could possibly be on equal ground as naruto. But based on the naruto manga so far, his rasengan seems to be a one-hit KO technique most of the time. So now I'm taking the concept of Naruto's second movie and mix it with the current Naruto. Would i be looking at 2 wind element rasengans? And remember how Naruto can form a rasengan without using a clone in kyuubi mode? Yep...in kyuubi mode, i doubt Naruto would screw this ultimate technique up (like miss or something).

Wow..long story. Anyway, Naruto will win. :musak:

Well I'm not going to translate everything word for word, but here's the basic summary.

Chapter 440 - "Hiken VS Blackbeard"

Chapter opens with Baratie.
Zeff talking about what he knows about Enies Lobby while looking at a piece of paper. He reveals it while laughing to Pati and Karune. They react while laughing and read it aloud.

Scene changes to Fuschia Village.
The people are celebrating Luffy having a bounty of 3mill Beri. The Souchou (elder) is telling everyone to quiet down. He seems to be rather negative towards the bounty. He refers to Garp negatively as well saying why would he let his grandson become like this.

Scene changes to Ussop's village.
Kaya looks over Soge Kings bounty and instantly recongnizes it as Ussop. The kids recognize his nose as well and are ecstatic its captain Ussop.

Scene changes to Zoro's village.
A student asks Zoros teacher if it was true that Pirate Hunter Zoro used to be his student. He says yes, but to not become like him. The students think its cool and Zoros teacher thinks about Zoro and what hes doing.

Scene changes to Nami's village.
Nojiko and Gen react to and have a conversation about Nami's bounty.

Scene changes to Drum island.
Dalton and Doc Kureha react to Luffys and Choppers bounty as well.

Scene changes to and island called Paldego.
A soldier and a unknown man react to Luffys bounty and says war is upon them. The soldier shows the unknown man Luffys bounty and he says his whole crew is worth 6,670,050 Beri. The soldier mentions Garp, then the unknown man says the wind is hitting them??? The unknown man reveals himself and shows that its Dragon. He says the day that him and Luffy meet will come.

Scene makes a flashback of 3 days ago on an island called Banaro.
Teach: ooh, Ace taichou!
Laffite: so your that Hiken no Ace.
Ace: yea, nice to meet you. so I heard your the captain of your own crew now right? Blackbeard pirate captain marshall d. teach?

blah, blah, blah, BB invited ace into his crew. He says he mapped out his whole plan. He says WB's era is over. BB says that he wants to be the pirate king. first thing they are gonna do is head over to W7 and hunt down Luffy. Ace tells him that Luffy is his brother and that he wont join his crew.

Van Auger shoots Ace. Bullets go through Ace as he activates his logia. Ace points a finger towards Auger. Bursts of fire shoot at Auger like a machine gun. Auger tries to dodge, and Burgess throws a house towards Ace.

Ace burns up into a ball of fire and the house burns.
BB: Shit! Auger! Burgess! Dont lay a hand on him. You guys dont stand a chance against that man. Back off!

Ace: Hiken.
BB: !!?
A big explosion happens.

BB crew screams and BB catches on fire. He is now all burnt up.
he settles down.
BB: I know you want to kill me ace. I did afterall, kill 4th divison commander Sachi. I had no choice. He took the devil fruit I longed for! Theres a unwritten rule of whoever finds the devil fruit keeps it and he got it. I knew he got the one I wanted because I studied its shape from the book. For years I stayed on WB's ship because on there I had the highest chance of running into this devil fruit.
Ace: so thats why you killed Sachi and ran.....
BB: Yea, this ability and me were destined to be. This is how I became unstoppable!

BB's arm starts to turn black.....
A black aura surrounds BB.

BB: Ace! your body is fire, right!?
Ace is at a loss of words.....

Still, not much info to go on for those two. Yoruichi hasn't even shown us her zanpy yet...but has her flash release.
Even tho Urahara's benihime (shikai) has the best defence known for a shikai, i doubt he could stop her flash release.
However it's been told in the manga that Urahara cannot use his bankai to train others, which means that it must be one that is akin to Soifon's technique, or something just so powerful that it's almost like a one hit KO. Another ability may also be why he cannot use it, but it is in fact his trump card.
So far Yoruichi hasn't shown us her zanpy...so as much as i like her, i'm still going to have to with Urahara, only just tho. If she is able to release shikai and bankai...then the cards lie in her favour


Yoruichi handled Yammi, the tenth espada quite well alone, with only a kick which was too fast and powerful for Yammi to block.
however against his CERO, she was too close and shocked to do anything, whereas Urahara was able to cover the distance and defend her with Benihime.
Yet when he fires his own reiatsu at Yammi it is easily dealt with Ulquiorra...who still states that "This is Yoruichi and Urahara, in your current state (to Yammi) you are no match for them"
- but that's together..
and later on Urahara deals with an arrancar easily too

the manga evidence would still point to Urahara...but probably only just ..

still not enough to go on, as Yoruichi's trump card may not have been released.

1) I'm not talking about Yamamoto at all. Since you're aware of Vizards, I'd assume you would know who Yammy is since he appeared only a couple chapters after Shinji did. The character in question is far weaker than the captain commander. He's no push over though.
2) As for Ichigo, he's the worst example to use against shinigami. Strawberry
has more going for him in his respective universe than most main characters. I would elaborate more, but I'll refrain from doing so since there are some pretty big spoilers involved.
Going by the real arc, Renji has already entered the domain of power that captains possess. This is certainly without a doubt if you consider Hitsugaya captain level as well. I wouldn't say both are mid tier captain level, but inbetween low and middle on the scale. Plus, Abarai's undergone some training that without a doubt has produced results.

Renji doesn't use Kido - he really does suck at it and it's not a factor in thr fight at all (in fact he had been shown trying to use the Hado #31 in the manga... and the results were, how should I say it, less than impressive).

However... I don't remember it ever being stated that Renji can't shunpo. Renji is quite capable of Shunpo, thank you very much.

He is a lot faster than Naruto (and Sasuke, but Sasuke sucks as a rule so who cares), so speed is also out of the question.

Naruto can, of course, use his bunshins as cover and exhaust Renji, but then Renji could theoritically use his bankai and erase all those Bunshins.

Now, if I had to compare Renji to a Naruto character in terms of fighting skill (specifically swordsmanship), I'd compare him to what'shisname, the bone-swords user.

Just remembred his name. Kimimaru.

Kimimaru was owning Naruto like nothing at all, and Rock Lee and Gaara. Renji is, in terms of swordsmanship, as good as Kimimaru (or are you stating that Renji who trained for 50+ years at sword mastery, is less skilled than Kimimaru who at most had 20 years (wasn't it a lot less)?) at least, and he would completely dominate Naruto. And this without bringing in Shunpo and shikai/bankai.

With shikai+shunpo, Renji would be more than Naruto can handle even while using the Kyuubi (at least on one-2 tails level).

With bankai, Naruto can't handle Renji even if he uses 4 tails at ones.

Long story short, Naruto sucks and loses. Kthx.

Without bankai, Ichigo would have a tough fight - Itachi seems to me as one of the fastest beings in Naruto, possible fast enough to fight on the same level of speed as a Shinigami captain (although it is highly unlikely).

With bankai, however, the fight is pretty much decided. While Itachi is fast, bankai Ichigo's speed allows him to move so much faster than almost anyone in Bleach/Naruto universe (better than most because there are beings in Bleach universe who are at the moment as fast as he), that he woulnd't just "dominate" Itachi, it needs a new word.

All of the gunblade replicas I have seen don't look well made at all, espeically the stainless steel ones.

I've got a steel long sword sized buster sword replica with a unsharpened edge that is pretty good although where the tang and hilt goes together feels a bit flimsy.

If you tried to slice anything with denisty with a replica it would probably fall apart, so dont try it :P.

I do know someone that has a damasucs steel, at least about 7 times (I think) folded katana, that is authentic and its really nice.

In this battle, I'm thinking of Hao with the spirit of fire turned into a red hot blade (like when fighting Yoh initially). Who would win a battle between these two? I think Hao would win since he has great speed and his spirit is immensely strong.

Sorry if this has already been posted, didn't see it. Anyone else hear about the new season of Fate/Stay Night that's in development now? Apparantly it's the story line of the Grail War before the one involving the cast of the first F/S Night. So people like Shirou's father, Kotomine, and Rin's father are all part of it. Hopefully it'll be just as good as the first one, which, if you havn't seen, I highly recommend watching it.

So yeah...its a manga that has no connection to games. Its a prequel invented by the production company. Much like Toei invented Dragonball GT.

why are people complaining about the art style? The art style is akward at first but the style fits the characters and One Piece World. Manga and anime doesnt need to be drawn perfectly like it is alive and all. The style is actually very symplistic but alot things are also much better in the One Piece manga. Look at Naruto fight scenes for a second. Alot of times it is very hard to distingush what is happening or understand what is happening in the fight scenes. One Piece fights are much more complicated and they come out perfect and understandable. Also some character designs are incredible. I have to say Eneru, Luffy, Franky, and others are very difficult to draw and come out great with the designs great. Luffy's face is what is hard since he is a completely laid back person oblivous to worry so his face is always changing from happy, confused, embarassed, depresses, and damn right OUTRAGED. So don't talk about the art style.
