3rd his body can really take a punishment (unlike renjis) i mean if you watch episode 2 or 3 it says that he has 200 bruises on his body and several fractures and still looks normal and can do superhuman things like jump off a cliff (which he did) renji wouldn't stand a chance.

I'm not quite sure if this is a joke, but I'll answer anyway. Heero outside of his gundam would be defeated before he even knows what hit him. He could not see Renji using shunpo, which is all that's needed for him to lose. Renji could easily chop him in half without much effort. Getting 200 bruises is nothing compared to getting hundreds of cuts by razor blades.

As for Renji's bankai destroying a gundam, what's the reasoning behind it? I'd say a gundam could take out Renji fairly easily. Captain level attacks have the power of bombs (far from nuclear), and Heero's gundam can deliver equivalent attacks in rapid succession. Also, a gundam can still function with missing parts. Heero could just charge Renji and let his bankai take out an arm/leg while using the remainder of the gundam physically smash a defenseless Renji. Renji's best attack is like Heero using his beam gun, once.

To use any significant amount of nine tails chakra, he does need to be exhausted of his own power. He was trained to use it when his own chakra is depleted. The only time he can summon up nine tails chakra w/o being near death or used up all his own chakra is during his advanced kage bunshin technique.

Dragonball GT was uncanon bullshit made by Shueisha/Toei to continue milking the series.

I loved Dragonball and Z (up until Cell. He was friggin lame. Kid Buu was a neat villain though. And I kind of like Garlic Jr.) Good ol' mindless Shounen beat em up. The manga is obviously better as it lacks the massive time wasting scenes.

Omg what a wierd but true story... ahahahah.. Yeah i do think and agree with hisuke that dragon ball gt was made just so that the dragon ball series would not end. Think of this, this way... At that time kids i.e. me and my friends were fond of Dragon ball z and wanted more... Here shows last for 30 minutes with commercials so all in all 1 show per day would have like 15 min. of dragon ball in them. So sometimes one epside is like just watching goku charge up and after 14 min. of watching him charge up. we would see him fight for 1 min and then wait for tomorrow. But when you think that we were all angry at it, on the contrary we were amped up with it hoping to see his fight the next day.

So you see kids will watch as long as Goku will fight. No matter how silly the plots may be that is still Goku. So yeah I may be arogant when I was young but hey I enjoyed it. (the movie not being arrogant.) ^_^

Hmm..well this would be an interesing fight, and I'd think it would be close. Here's why: I would agree that the Avatar state is as strong or stronger than the power of the nine-tailed fox. HOWEVER, as I witnessed in the last episode of season two, it appears to take a decent amount of time to transform into avatar state: Zuko's sister was able to stop him from fully reaching it in order to defeat him (if memory serves....I think I'm remembering that right). Either way, that showed that Aang CAN be defeated while in or close to Avatar state, and with Naruto's speed I think he could get a good blow in mid transformation, thus knocking Aang out of comission.

Also, who's to say that Naruto's first blow wouldn't be able to take Aang out before his body even had a chance to register danger? I think that if Naruto used a strong physical blow (jutsu probably wouldn't do too much cause Aang could bend w/e is thrown at him), Aang couldnt do much because he doesn't seem to have much physical resistance. Although it would be possible to deflect the attack with a bend, I think Naruto would have speed and enough clones to deal with it; it would be easy for Aang to counter one attack, but more and more difficult the more Naruto's there are.

To me, flying wouldn't be much of an advanatage for Aang either; sure, he's out of range, but bending relies on stances which can only be done on a solid surface, so he couldn't attack while in the air either. Also, even if Naruto does need to exhaust all his chakra before summoning the nine-tailed fox's chakra, this could be accomplished quickly by abuse of the shadow clone jutsu.

Thus, to make a long story short, Naruto wins in a closely balanced fight due to speed and physical strength. Quick note: I think both characters are equally great, so PLEASE don't yell at me/call me a hater.

Yes this was a bash thread and i just happen to watch avatar. Aang is not train to be a fighter but when he tranforms, he gets a lot of knowledge and experinece. It does take TIME for him to do this, will naruto could mix his chakara with the kyubbi (red eyes and frangs).

Time counts on every battle and how people fight, you should know that Tasogare. Aang holds back but you ignore that totaly, it counts. Aang wastes time, naruto doesn't.

Naruto hands down wins this, with time, experince in fights, and knowledge of the battlefield. That naruto already has to begin with. N

Guts was able to dodge and block Zodds huge sword which is much faster and Zodd is a much better swordsman than Sano by a LARGE degree. Then, there is the fact kenshin says sano can only wield his huge sword in like two directions. Guts would easily slaughter him.

Also, what are you baseing "his bankai would destroy a gundam with one shot easiy" on,When a gundam is made out of very strong futuristic alloys and you forget the speed and manuverablity of a gundam it could just weave in and out of his bankai or just jet to a safe distance in an instance. Then blast him with a beam rifle shot and its over. Also he could easily block Renjis bankai with his beam sword.

Aang is fast and would probally take him down quickly. If Naruto were to catch him, the avatar thing would probally kick in and blow Naruto away.

Aang is not fast, he uses air bending to make him more faster. In order to do different element bending, he need's to change his stance a lot. Aang moves are just flashy moves with no kick into them. Naruto can easily catch Aang off guard and strick him down like that.

It takes a lot of stamina to bend elements, naruto has more stamina than aang. Meaning Aang has to use a lot of his body making him weaker in the end.

Despite not being born with experience, going into Avatar state will give him all the experience and power he needs. He doesn't need to be trained to use his abilities against others. He already knows how to, and he'll be willing to once he goes into Avatar state. And why do you keep on bringing up his friends? They are not a part of this battle, and they are not necessary for him to bring out his full strength.

I still have yet to see any proof that Naruto would win. Aang and his predecessors (whose power/knowledge he gets during transformation) have more power than Naruto and his transformed state. Since Sasuke can handle so many clones using pure taijutsu, I'm sure Aang could do the same with his unlimited "chakra" and elemental "jutsu".

Edit: Bending elements doesn't take too much stamina, or at least not enough to tire out Avatar Aang. Changing stances doesn't take much time, and Aang can bend 2 elements at the same time. Aang's technique have more "kick" to them than any of Naruto's jutsu.

Yes, he does gain experince from the past. Its too dangerous to go to the avatar state for many obivious reason. Its safer to train and to be able to master the state. The reason i keep bringing friends in the picture, becuase thats the source that keeps him for entering/mastering it.

He can't keeping bending forever, he will get tire in a matter of time. Aang is the youngest Avatar, that could be hes down fall. Im sure he can do all that but not do it forever and has more to master.

Im sure Aang can beat naruto with more years of training. Unforunatley he doesn't have time like the other incraniations.
I still keep my money on naruto but it will be a fun match to watch.

The only problem is, the Sephiroth you see in the game, the Sephiroth you see flying through solid objects is... an illusion. Sephiroth doesn't actually fight you himself until the end of the game. Until then, you're fighting illusions created by Sephiroth. Apparently, his physical form can "appear" anywhere where there are Jenova cells. And since Cloud has Jenova cells... Sephiroth has no problem appearing and fighting you whenever he wants. That said, the real Sephiroth body isn't that great. Sure, he's the best SOLDIER that ever existed, but that only makes him Captain level, I'd say.
In the end, who knows. The original Sephiroth body seems impervious to swords (as Kenpachi is, sorta).
However, I'm going to have to go with Sephiroth, the one who did this without a sword or any weapon whatsoever (his sword was still in Shinra's head - pun intended) :

@Tasogare: At this point, I really think it'd be impossible to say that it's only choosing to go into avatar state takes time; it's really not that fair of an assumption seeing as how the show hasn't really made any evidence either way (every other time people were too freaked out to do much of anything). And the old hermit also said that if he quit in the middle of training, he wouldn't be able to go into the avatar state ever again. I'm not going to say either way what Azula interrupting it could mean, but at this point, to be fair, we can't be certain whether or not he can even use the avatar state anymore.

Moreover, I doubt that Aang can control will ever control the Avatar state. He'd have to let go of everything he ever loved, and I'm just not seeing him being able to do that. Also, we've only had one instance of him almost getting there of his own will, so we don't REALLY know if he's capable of controlling it yet.

Spirited Away was the first anime movie I've seen, and it's what got me hooked onto anime. Howl's Moving Castle was the other Studio Ghibli I saw afterwards, overall I thought that it was a pretty good animated movie (I was mainly impressed with the background artwork), though I still preferred Spirited Away over Howl's Moving Castle. I've yet to see Princess Mononoke and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

After chapter 440 reintroduces Tashigi and Smoker. Smoker will probably be Luffys opponent, and I can only assume Tashigi will be Zoros opponent once again. But I wonder, does this mean she will be on or close to Zoros level?? There really wouldnt be much point in having a repeat of the match in Lougetown, so either she will be able to fight on his level or shouldn't fight him at all or it will be a quick defeat again. actually all you speed theories just went down the drain. Cloud is slow with the buster but what if he had one of his lighter swords like his Murasume?(which basically a uberly strong Dai-katana. It's nearly like a minature Masamune) If he were armed with that his speed would no longer be an weakening aspect aspect cause he wouldn't be weight down by such a cumbersome weapon. all you speed theories are based on the assumption that Cloud is always gonna use the buster sword. even by using the Heaven's Cloud sword, which is a little cumebersome in size, but lighter. cloud would still match Squall speed. (thanks to the Jenova cells.)
And btw Squall would have to reload his Gunblade after 8 shots cause it's based on a revolver. (he doesn't have an infinite ammo cheat on his Gunblade.) And Cloud can dodge and even deflect bullets. (as seen in Advent Children. He fought off Yazoo whom was using 2 and an aggressive Loz for f&%$ sake.) Cloud would have to have speed and excellent reflaexes to do that.

The gunblade doesnt "shoot" bullets, so it doesn't really matter whether he can dodge them. Cloud was fighting off Loz/Yazoo/Kadaj but he was also losing, hence why vincent needed to rescue him.

I have to dispute that. Didn't Neo have "real" Jujitsu training? Just because it was programmed into his brain doesn't make it less "real". Just because Cloud didn't actually go through any SOLDIER training, doesn't mean that the memories he has of SOLDIER training are any less "real". The whole reason Cloud is so powerful is due to the memories he gained from Zack, a real SOLDIER.

Just because Cloud didn't actually go through any SOLDIER training, doesn't mean that the memories he has of SOLDIER training are any less "real". The whole reason Cloud is so powerful is due to the memories he gained from Zack, a real SOLDIER.

.Hack//Legend of the Twilight is the only one of the .Hack series I've read/seen, as I own all 3 volumes of the manga and DVD. I didn't like it that much, particularly the characters. I have no idea why I went and purchased the whole series when I knew from the first episode that I wasn't going to like it... albeit I did like the manga a bit more than the anime.

Did you play the game? Do you remember the Nibelhiem reactor incident? Cloud knows everything that happened inside the reactor... Even though he was outside during the time. Zach was inside the reactor, and talked to Sephiroth. yet, somehow, Cloud can quote everything Sephiroth said there. Also, Cloud has clear memories of talking to Tifa as a child... Except Cloud didn't know TIfa as a child, Zack did.

Zach and Cloud were together for a grand total of a few hours before Zach died. I doubt Zach told Cloud his entire life's story in that time.

Conclusion: Cloud has Zach's memories.

You have Tifa and Aeris confused. Cloud did not know Aeris, but he and Tifa were next door neighbors before he went off to try and join SOLIDER. In fact, Tifa didn't even know Zack before the Nibelhiem incident (Zack is from an entirely different city, he didn't even LIVE in Nibelhiem).
Zack and Cloud were together MUCH longer than "a few hours". They were friends and served together in Shinra's military.
Im not sure where you get the idea where these memories were "implanted" into Cloud. This is simply NOT the case, as seen by events ingame, Last Order, and the soon to be released Crisis Core. I quote two separate articles on wikipedia:


Zack and Cloud are retrieved by Shinra forces and kept in custody. They are subjected against their will to biological experimentation involving genetic material from Jenova, under the supervision of Professor Hojo. Eventually, Zack broke out and literally drags Cloud with him during their escape. Zack gives Cloud some of his clothes and gets them transport to Midgar. During this time, Cloud is weak, groggy and somewhat delirious, as he had reacted more strongly to the experiments than Zack did, though he was unknowningly driven by the Reunion. However, Zack talks continuously to the unresponsive Cloud about his life and his plans to become a mercenary in Midgar, get rich and be with his girlfriend, though he never revealed her name. When they finally arrive outside of Midgar, the Shinra security force that have been searching for them finally catch up. They try to detain the escaped prisoners, but Zack fights back to defend both Cloud and himself. The Shinra troops caught up with Zack and Cloud later, armed with sniper, shot Zack but leave Cloud for dead after seeing his vegetative state. However, Cloud manages to recover. Upon his arrival, Cloud seeks work as a mercenary, just as Zack said he intended to do. This is where Final Fantasy VII begins.

Upon their escape, Zack was killed, and Cloud was left for dead in a confused stupor, believing himself to have been the SOLDIER Zack was.

Regarding Cloud and Zack's friendship:
The events of the game reveal more of Zack's past: How he met Aerith, obtained the Buster Sword, and became friends with Cloud.

Well, back to some more math here... If Cloud and Squall faught with no junctions or materia, Cloud would win. Because FF7 lets you get away with not using Materia. In FF8, you basically need to use the junction system.

Each has, at maximum, 9999HP. Both are able to inflict OVER 9999 damage on every turn. So in the end... WHoever hits first is guaranteed to win.

Of course, this is how I would conduct a battle between two FF characters. I don't have anything to say about combat ability and general character details.

Aang is not fast, he uses air bending to make him more faster. In order to do different element bending, he need's to change his stance a lot. Aang moves are just flashy moves with no kick into them. Naruto can easily catch Aang off guard and strick him down like that.

It takes a lot of stamina to bend elements, naruto has more stamina than aang. Meaning Aang has to use a lot of his body making him weaker in the end.

The fact that he uses Bending to make him faster, doesn't make him any slower. You aren't making any sense.

Bending elements is as simple as breathing to them. It is effortless, and takes little or no energy to do. Think I'm bsing you? Just look at them when they're bending. Especially Aang's Airbending. He literally exhales gusts..

Yes, he does gain experince from the past. Its too dangerous to go to the avatar state for many obivious reason. Its safer to train and to be able to master the state. The reason i keep bringing friends in the picture, becuase thats the source that keeps him for entering/mastering it.
He can't keeping bending forever, he will get tire in a matter of time. Aang is the youngest Avatar, that could be hes down fall. Im sure he can do all that but not do it forever and has more to master.

No, the reason you keep bringing friends into this is because you know that Naruto is weaker than Aang when he's in Avatar state. He doesn't need to master it to defeat Naruto, which is shown by his past feats during Avatar state.

Bending is effortless, jutsu takes chakra. Aang can bend far longer than Naruto can use useless jutsu against him.

Once you saw that Naruto's jutsu were useless, and that it takes longer for him to go into Kyuubi mode than it does for Aang to go into the Avatar state...what did you do? You started to go on about random, irrelevent nonsense.

It would be lame, if we were comparing a Final Fantasy game with some other RPG series. But they're both in FF games, and they have very similar stats. Like I said, comparing abilities seems to make sense, since they are so very similar.

With stats? Squall has a max of 9,999 HP. Tidus has a max of 99,999. Damage? 9,999 vs 99,999.

Well, assuming the battle doesn't come down to a hand to hand duel, this really would be a cool fight. Marluxia has more long-range options (floating beam shooting roses, pink energy waves launched from scythe, giant nobody, rose pedals) where as Byakuya just has the Bankai version of Senbonzakura. The shikai form would make for a good way to defend against the beam firing roses using one hand, while his other could direct an attack toward Marluxia.

I'm thinking he goes Bankai and causes the swords to spiral around him as a shield, blocking beam and pedal alike long enough to reach the top of the giant nobody for a finishing blow. Marluxia could and most likely would teleport out of harms way, however that would be his main way of escaping a melee attack, as I haven't seen Marluxia's pedals form a Senbon-like shield or what have you. Likewise, shunpo will be captain Kuchiki's answer to teleporting. His biggest problem here would be defending against the giant nobody (which he's obviously faster than) and Marluxia at the same time.

DBZ was the anime that got me into anime. Back when I was a kid I absolutely loved it and practically worshipped it ( Buying those freaking little action figures and making 2 of em fight each other lol ).
