The thing that put be off a bit was the whole 'let's have a flashback in every episode! Oh! And let's make it THE SAME flashback!' i mean GAWD! I've seen the 'kikyou thinks she was killed by InuYasha, InuYasha thinks he was killed by Kikyou (WE HATE EACHOTHER!!)' scene so many times it's redundant!!

Heh to the post on Sailor Moon, I was told that fact about it and it kinda put me off watching it from then on. I don't like Inuyasha...haha...it's too long and the characters get annoying and it's like they are always searching and walking..it's a neverending story. Other stories like this (the whole girl in new world type anime) are shorter and the plot is less shaky

I used to like it a lot more when it first aired. Then it started slowing down because of all of the pointless filler episodes and the fact that most battles in the show don't accomplish much. LOL Gungrave is so pimp! I've played the game first and then I watched the Anime...I only have the first 3 dvd's and aim to get the rest...Grave is so awesome...I think the Anime ends the same way as the game...i think it was made that way...hmm well anyway the anime was done buy the same guy who did Trigun ( awesome anime aswell! A thought (probably EVERY one of you already thought of, or saw posted somewhere else) came to me recently. Both the Characters Naruto and Ichigo have tremendous powers at their disposal. What if Naruto had the ability to hurt a Shinigami? Would he be able to beat Ichigo, or would he fail miserably? Let me compare their powers according to my knowledge:

Ichigo:
- Has a VERY large source of spirit power.
- Main method of battle is swordplay.
- Projectiles are not his greatest aspect of fighting, though when enraged, he he can blast out large amounts of spiritual power from his blade (or so it seems that way).
- Sword has Shikai level and Bankai levels of power, which increases power and speed drastically.

Naruto:
- Has average amounts of Chakra in his own power, though with the Kyuubi, he may achieve a nearly unlimited amount.
- Weapons consist mostly of Kunai and other such projectiles.
- Close-range weapons are usually the body itself (he punches, kicks, etc.) He may also use the Rasengan, though that takes a short time to charge. When in highly emotionally stressful situations, he can unleash the Kyuubi to form a barrier-like aura of pure Chakra... which he may also use as a close-range or projectile weapon.
- When in Kyuubi form, speed and power drastically increase.


So... what do you think? I'm really stumped in this one, because when you look at it... they both have a few common features. The MAIN difference between the two characters is their method of fighting. They both have a large amount of "energy" that they can unleash, and both have methods of greatly increasing their normal strength and speed.Any ideas? :confused:

Has anybody seen this anime? I think it's awesome. It was written by the author of Love Hina. It's totally in the same vein. If you don't know it's about a 10 year old boy who is studing to become a magician and to be able to graduate from Magic school he must complete a real world task assigned to him. I think that the sexy no justu MAY work but to be honest I think it was the shock that Yoruichi a freakin' hot chick and not a cat. Ichigo's Ban Kai made him so fast that he actually one upped Byakuya, and managed to get behind him without him even noticing. (if I recall right, that may have been when Ichigo was in "hollow mode". But either way, if Naruto even managed to get Ichigo to a sliver of health, the Hollow would kick in before Ichigo died, hence it would open a world of hurt on him until Ichigo overpowered it and got back to fighting)

Now if someone as good at Shunpou as Byakuya was like "DUDE, WTF!?", thats pretty damn fast.

But this is all asuming that Naruto can touch Ichigo. And remember the only thing that can even hurt a sharingan is a zanpaktou or some form of spiritual power. Now if you consider chakura as spiritual power, maybe, but all non chakura attacks (like punching and kuni) are out of the question. Then you have to consider if Naruto would even be able to see Ichigo.

Dont forget that high spirit power gives high movement speed. Naruto has normal human speed with chakra. But the Ninja trianing let them move fast + a little chakra use.

the advances Rasengan from 'after time skip naru' would probably take ichis lights out but getting him would be the real problem which was mentioned. Well Naruto would use Kyuubis Chakra as shield for Ichigos attacks and then it will be decided if or if not he can catch him once or twice.

Inuyasha's japanese version isn't anymore "UNCUT AND INTENSE" than the AS version. Even the blood is black in the Japanese version.

Inuyasha started good, and got progressively worse because Rumiko Takahashi can make decent/good beginings, but then the broad doesn't know when to end her story because she gets too damn attached to her characters.

I must say, having seen movie 2 on adult swim (the movie itself sucked, but the begining with Naraku was nice), it shows how EASY the team could clobber Naraku. Plus, it shows just how badass Naraku could be if he fought for himself.

Yeah the manga does end more differently but at the end i don't think anybody lost. It shows kyos shadow at the end and also shows what looks like kyoshiro at the end as well maybe it ended like scryed?Either that or Kyo won because he could have cut his hair after he won

The manga and anime are entirely different, from what i recall. In my opinion the anime stank, and the manga was much better.

Plus the manga has a lot of different events and characters, namely the fact that dude with the laser gun isn't in the manga, and Kyoshirou fights two other guys BEFORE he fights Jimon called the Bantouji Brothers.

Cloud can't win. All he is, is a bioengineered failure of a clone with magic. (i'm a die hard ff7 fan, btw. so don't think I'm all raggin on Cloud)

Magic can't harm ghosts as they seem to appear in the Bleach universe. Magic is not spiritual energy, nor is spiritual energy magic.

Magic is manipulation of the natural physical elements of the world (Fire, Thunder, Water, etc etc etc) via Materia, a substance created from the earth. Has nothing to do with souls and spiritual energy. Cloud also can't cut Ichigo. Besides! The material world and spiritual world are two different, interlinking planes of existance.

Therefore, Cloud can't hurt him unless he like, became one with the lifestream and somehow drowned Ichigo in it, giving him Mako cancer or something...and before you bring in the "but what if he COULD?" arguement...cloud still wouldn't win.

That was quite a nifty plot hole on Kubo's part. (Chad smacking shreiker (or whatever his name was) with the phone pole and stuff.)

Since it's stated multiple times Zanpakutou and spiritual weapons like that are the only things capable of hurting hollows/shinigami.

Either way, Cloud still can't win. Ichigo outdoes him in speed and strength still.

You need to watch the latest episodes of bleach all over again if you think ichigo still swings his sword around carellesly. Also i think one blast from zangetsu would tear cloud in half not only that but this is stupid, ichigo's body is like 10x as strong as clouds is.CLoud is more like super human and ichigo is a super spirit with super powers.

Yeah you have to download the subs as extra, but if you've got the right codec's you should just be able to load the subtitles in if they aren't already shown.

I have to say I thought it was an awesome film actionwise. Storyline, there was a hell of a lot in it, and it linked up well.

From Torrentspy? I was a little slow in getting there so by the time I knew about it, there were literally 60000+ downloaders and I couldn't even view the pages. I had to hunt it down from somewhere else. So yeah you might be fortunate enough that you wont need a separate file, but just in case you do, at least you'll know there is a way to get it sorted and be able to understand the film quite happily. ^___^

I'm sorry to say, but even Kenshin's Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki wouldn't stand a chance against one swing from Guts. I mean, Guts is not only fast, he can cut monsters in pieces! One swing from Guts already has more power than any finisher!

Manji wouldn't stand a chance against guts either. Even if Guts can't kill him, Manji can't kill Guts either.

Kyoshiro may be a match for Guts however. His special moves border on magic. Not sure how Guts would fare against that.

I figured he'd be "The Man" with his sword. When I saw the movie, I was disapointed to see that he got pasted all over the show by Androids 17 and 18 in the future. Though I guess if that hadn't have happened then there'd have been no need for him to go back to the time when he appeared with Goku and co. from the future in the Cell saga. (I think it was the Cell saga wasn't it...)

He would still lose to Guts though. Guts has experience fighting monsters that won't die, and Manji can still be defeated even if he can't be killed.

Kenshin's amakakeru ryu no hirameki couldn't even kill shishio (because his sword was dull). Guts sword is also dull, but with mere arm strength he can cut somebody in half with it. That makes Guts swing more powerful than Kenshin's finisher.
And if it's about speed, Guts has proved his mettle in that area too. He fought against monesters that have inhuman speed (faster than any human is capable of) and won.

Heh... I have a feeling I'm the only one not exactly thrilled with the movie. I admit, the action scenes are by far the best I have seen in an animated film. The thing with me is though, I like storyline too. Don't get me wrong, you can probably link a LOT of stuff together with FF7... find a few Easter Eggs as well, but all in all... I can't say the storyline impressed me much... at all.

I feel as though Sephiroth was there to... well... just BE THERE. To be honest; with the exception of one fight scene, I don't think many of the FF7 cast really had much reason to make any appearance. I know I'll probably be bashed a bit for this, but I really don't think this was much more than a (VERY sucessful) milking of the FF7 series. Is it bad, horrible, etc? No. But I don't believe it would be nearly as sucessful if noone had known of the FF series or their characters. For all general purposes, the movie just seems like your average Action movie, with shiny polygons thrown in to the mix.


Of course, take my opinion with a grain of salt. I'm sure many of you found it to be quite possibly one of the best movies of all time. Rightfully so, that is your opinion on the movie. :toocool:

Gutts is immensly skilled with his sword (7 feet long, 4 inches thick, or something like that) and can use it extremely fast due to his training. Plus, he's easy to anger and when in a rage, well...it's a scary sight. He single handedly killed 100 soldiers (which in berserk, a world where there is no quick draw attacks or flaming energy beam sword slices, is quite a feat) in a single battle, part of that battle fought with only one hand usable (the other was shot with a crossbow bolt)

Gutts and Manji are probably the top ranking swordsmen on skill alone, not having to rely on magic or "secret techniques" or anything. Just skill and natural abilities. (Keep in mind i never factored in Gutts' artificial arm or autocrossbow, and i never factored in Berserk's armor, either.)

I have to actually agree with your spoiler Apocalypse.

I was thoroughly disapointed with the involvement of Sephiroth and the other characters you take on for your team from the game. They did appear to be there just because it is the follow up to the game. The team makes what 2 appearances each, apart from Tifa, Cloud and Aeris. Though perhaps they left it so uninvolved so as to prepare in 25 years time for another CGI edition. Though if that's their reason, then I too, to be honest would have preferred they just wait and put more into this one.

I did find it to be very good viewing material in the form of action and flashy graphics, but as you said, storyline especially in something such as this that followed on from what is deemed the "epic begining of quality RPG's", is a big issue.

Most people who now play RPG's probably started their RPG gaming with FFVII. So in that respect it had a lot to live up to. I know it's where I started, I borrowed the game of an uncle and then went straight out to find all the rest once I'd finished it.

I do agree though that if you weren't an FF fan or specifically someone with a well endowed knowledge of FFVII in particular then you might be very lost.

I do think that without the backing that the series has had on people, it might not be as popular.

No complaints from me though I enjoyed it as it stands.

I watched it r/n. I was lost at a point cuz I only played so little of FF7 (I could not get out of the factory heh.). Moreover my game was in French so I did not understand a bit of it. However as mentioned good and flashy fight scenes eventough I was lost at plot and there were some characters that I did not know (I only knew Cloud, Barett, Tifa and the girl who sells flowers ^^) I enjoyed watching the movie.

Well, I saw it and it basically met my expectations. Stupid story, great animation, great music, incredible fight scenes. Hell, the fight scenes alone are worth downloading it. They make the climax of Revenge of the sith look like training sessions. I wonder if it was really necessary to bring Sephiroth back though. Not that I didn't appreciate the fight. They really underutilized Vincent, though. I wanted to see him kick some more ass. Not enough Yuffie or Cait Sith either. :D

Yeah i just finished watcing Hellsing and i think it has the best main character in all of anime and it is only 13 episodes if you don't read the manga(hes even more kickass in the manga).GANTZ was peferfect until the ending and so it forces you to read he manga.

Onime no Kyo didn't get ambushed. He also wasn't wounded. People bakc in feudal japan weren't all trained fighters, some of them were farmers and other peasants yanked up to serve in a daimyou's army. Kyo wasn't in a battle before the encounter. Kyo's slaughter occured in an open field, not a dank forest.

But the 100 man slayer thing is nothing compared to Gutts' later escapades. I very much doubt Kyo could managed to kill a handful of demons (and keep in mind Berserk's demons are nothing like SDK's. Berserk's demons are huge, damn near immortal) by breaking off the horn of one demon and using it as a weapon. Gutts did that.

Gutts has so much endurance and skill, he can wield a sword too large for humans to wield, that was designed to kill dragons. Once he gets fighting he doesn't stop until his opponent dies. (Kinda why the series is called Berserk). And Gutts doesn't rely on some fancy pants magic. His sword, an auto crossbow, and an arm canon. Thats it.

Let's see Kyo take on some of his tougher foes without his sword skills and gunk like that =B (Red Mirage, etc etc.)

Keep in mind I only read the SDK manga, as the anime was just, way too dorky for my tastes.
