I wouldn't recommend using anything from DBGT for arguments involving Goku's strength. SSJ4 Goku can barely lift a building... Hulk can lift a mountain. SSJ4 Goku gets beaten by opponents that NORMAL kid-version Goku can kill with one attack. In DBZ world, the sun is the ultimate source of destruction, and being launched into it guarantees death (stronger than any DBZ attack). The Hulk has withstood nuclear attack, which is far hotter than the surface of the sun.

Really, the best use for it is the fact that you can orchestrate the way it's victims die... It could be used to root out every dark conspiracy on the globe (via suicidal confessions). It could be used to set up puppet cults of death oracles (victims shout or write various 'prophecies' in public just before they die). Summon Cthulu without being on the same side of the globe...

Okay, maybe the last one would just end up defaulting to "heart attack."

The ultimate anime crossovers:

Bleach + anything really. Think about it. Taking any character, killing them, and making them a shinigami. Especially when they're already powerful. Like Kenshin for example. He'd fight circles around Ichigo up till his fight with Zaraki..

Take Kenshin, and give him shinigami powers to far surpass his human limits. Pure pwnage. Same goes for Saito, Aoshi, Enishi, Shishio, etc...

...

Samurai Deeper Kyo + Samurai X. Should be interesting...up to the point when Kyo gets god-like moves.

InuYasha + Yu Yu Hakusho. Demons galore! Sesshoumaru vs Hiei/Kurama? **** yeah!

Yu Yu Hakusho + Bleach. Toguro vs that fire Espada guy. Who'd win? Yu Yu characters could keep up with, and in some cases, defeated Bleach characters. Combining the two would be great.

Samurai Champloo + Rurouni Kenshin. Champloo characters are on an even level in terms of skill. Kenshin characters have a speed advantage...and power...with those special moves. In straight up, standard no special move fights, it could go either way. Would be pretty cool.

Afro Samurai + Rurouni Kenshin. Nuff said. :whatevah:

This one on one just occured to me as I was watching Street Fighter Alpha. Opinions? I'd have to say that it would probably be a pretty close fight. Ichigo doesn't use hand to hand much although he seems to know some. He seems to use Zangetsu in all battles which would probably make him vulnerable against a guy like Ryu. Now if Ichigo used Bankai that would most likely tip the odds in his favor but would he use it, considering it gives him somewhat of an unfair advantage over ground-bound Ryu?

He does it in like 4. I think it's safe to say he's the fastest of the bunch up there. See where I posted that Sol defeated Justice, who destroyed all of Japan (a whole civilization) thereby meaning he should be able to do so by association? To simplify I'll give you an example of the fight. Both guys fight eachother, scoring blows. Fight goes back and forth til' they both power up (Dante's demon form, Sol's Gear form). Sol nukes the city their fighting in, but alas Dante (who avoided the blast via flying) comes down to finish the fight with a decapitation while Sol is on the ground, dazed from the rush of power (that he always gets from DI). This isn't Gold mode Sol, or Shadow Sol, or Manga Sol. It's just Sol.

Secondly Ki is spirtual energy, Quantum energy comprises the energies of the entire cosmos. It easily outpowers Ki. Plus in Sabre's evolved form he infuses with a venemoid making him more faster, stronger and dramatically increasing his Teknoblasters payout. (The spirit bomb could be blasted away with Sabre's teknoblasters) Zodd may be able to die but a punch from him would inflict severe injuries on Goku. anyone here could fall into Itachi's genjutsu by just looking at his eyes. (remember Kakashi fell for it. Goku'd have no fucking clue.) Remember these guys would be fighting ppl which they know shit all about. Fuma wouldn't give a damn, he's kill them anyway. You forget one thing when you say Goku would win. He (like all heroes) has one weakness, his loved ones.

Think this in a tactical perspective. The heroes (Goku, Kenshin, D, and Ichigo) have to always gotta protect someone whilst villians (Fuma, Zodd, Sabre,and Itachi) have nothing holding them back from using full poteintial.

But that's my opinion.

In any case, murdering a murderer makes one a murderer. Those of you who quickly answer "Noone will see it that way, I'm helping society." are missing my point...what I'm getting at is not the opinions of society, but rather your own conscience. The nightmares you'll begin to have once you realize what you've done. You used your power to end the life of a man or woman who according to you deserved to die...but that's not your decision to make, and life is something too precious to be toyed with.

Now, with all that out of the way let's go to a darker place...say for example there's a serial rapist out there. Yeah, a rapist and a uh...pedophile...and he's a white supremecist too...aaaaand maybe eats kittens. You've got the Death Note, and you know dude's name...but upon finding out his name, you also find that he's an accomplished Doctor, one who's well respected in your community and who's responsible for saveing the lives of countless people. Do you make the guy die off, knowing full well you and the community would benefit from him staying alive? Granted, he'd be in jail for like, ever. But, once dude is out he could surely redeem himself through his craft.

Highly unlikely occurance, but assume something like that, but more believable happens. Basically, you don't deside someone's worth as a living being. Especially when said being can be redeemed.

Death Note is so much better, imo. Bleach ,like all shonen animes, focuses on physical battles. If you pay attention to the ploit, any goal can be achieved by beating someone in a fight. So Bleach is quite simple tha tway.

Death Note is about wits, you try to manipulate those around you and outsmart the other, the shinigami are so much different and the mood differs as well .It's not creepy, like someone said before, but more on edge and complex.

Give Luffy a reason, and he'll beat down anyone, without a reason Luffy won't go 100% and he'll probably sleep in a fight against Inuyasha.

That's assuming we're adding Luffy's odd personality in the fight... without it, he'll just beat the crap out of Inuyasha, although because of Inuyasha's demon body, he'll probably stay in the fight unless Luffy goes Gear Third.

Gear Second... being able to use Soru makes a large difference, and Luffy is also stronger in many ways.

Inuyasha has his over-sized sword (Tessaiga?), but Luffy is made out of rubber, and therefor is immune to the sword.

He has Wind Scar, which in Gear Second, Luffy can easily dodge it.

Then he's got his demon form and claws, okay, Gear Second and he won't be able to get close to Luffy :/.

It's probably boring out of the use of no comedy(correct me on this as I didn't even finish this)

The series really struggles to really show a 'god' state of its protagonist but yet nothing amounts to him other than his wise knowledge. It was interesting at first, but then you notice the typical characters used, the guests are all seen-befores, but due to them being naive there's no other choice. The plot of this story really augments to nothing as there is very little originality to work with, even the music didn't help it stand out. Really can't say I liked it..(quit at ep 4)

Anime is a great escape from reality. There are things you discover about certain characters that only you, as the audience, knows. I continue to watch certain anime series, waiting for a character to see how truely special another is.

If its Naruto vs Ichigo alone (w/o Kyuubi or Hollow Ichigo) then it would definitely be Ichigo. Naruto won't be able to keep up with Ichigo's speed when he activates his Bankai. But once Naruto releases Kyuubi and Ichigo's Hollow comes out it'll be a different story. The Kyuubi in 4 tails form is really powerful. It creates a nearly solid chakra shield for Naruto. On top of that, he has great healing abilities and a TON of chakra. Naruto would also gain a lot more power. Ichigo's Hollow on the other hand boosts himself up. But I don't think it'll be enough to take down Naruto in Kyuubi form unless he has something that can absorb chakra.

Well, if you're talking about Fei during most of the game, he's decently strong, but not up the the level of some of the others. If you're talking about Id, or Fei after he's united his personalities at the end of the game, then it's a different story After this, his status as "the contact" allows him to tap into the Zohar, which is essentially a god in a bottle, which can put out almost infinite energy. He can fight mechas barehanded and destroy large buildings just by releasing his energy. Unarmed, I would say he would be able to beat any of the others easily. If you allow him to use Xenogears, there's not even a contest. In Alpha Weltall, which isn't even as poweful as Xenogears, he destroyed the entire country of Solaris. I haven't seen that kind of power out of any of the others.

Zell. His final limit break consists of him running around the entire world in a matter of seconds. The speed of light would allow you to run around the planet in about 7 seconds. He does it in like 4. I think it's safe to say he's the fastest of the bunch up there. The amount of time it would take for someone to blink would be enough for him to pummel someone over a gazillion times. Or all of them rather.

If you want to get technical, you can travel around the world in Ragnarok in something like 10-20 seconds. To be able to actually navigate, Ragnarok can't possibly travel much faster than a fighter jet. This leads us to the conclusion that the planet of FFVIII is actually tiny and super-dense (to simulate normal gravity), which means that Zell can run at most several times the speed of sound. That also doesn't take into account the fact that his running speed is not necessarily correlated to his attack speed, he only lands one punch after all that running after all.Finally, Final Heaven isn't even strong enough to kill some more powerful monsters in the game world, so his attack strength may not be anything special even assuming he could pull off a gazillion-hit combo.

Anyway, that's what happens when you go into game mechanics.

The problem with threads like these, which throw random characters into one battle, is that they all have different abilities and mechanics. Its best to keep it to 1v1/2v2, unless they're all from the same game/series. O_o;


PS. Its impossible to judge a FF character's abilities by their overdrive/limit scenes. Take summons for example; their sequences usually show them whipping out enough power to destroy a few planets...but in the end, they only scratch the enemy, doing at let's say...2k damage(for earlier summons vs bosses)? And the battlefield remains unscathed btw.

(PSS. I just remembered. Roxas > Sora. Just check out that KH2:FM scene with their fight. Roxas has badass powers. Nothing universal destroying, but still...)

Hmm...I'm gonna say that limit break doesn't focus heavily on the game mechanics of FFVIII. Had I stated that he could do the same LB over and over, THAT would have been relying on the mechanics of the battle system. I was just going on what actually happens in the attack, which doesn't make it any better...but, when going by video game characters, the only ways to differentiate them are through what their attacks pull off, or what happens via storyline.

Example? The Fayt vs. Lloyd battle someone posted a month or so back. Going by the scene with Fayt charring that ship or whatever, we had evidence of his power. But, Lloyd does nothing of the sort in his game, because it wasn't very cutscene heavy. So the only way to guage his strength was through his actual attacks, which were nothing flashy. Each move he had was a simple sword combo.

All I'm getting at is sometimes special attacks are all we have to go on.

Okay...Samus is a HUMAN inside of a battle suit. Even if the suit protects her, she can feel pain. Megaman has defeated badguys while he was only a torso and one arm. Samus couldn't fight like that. Also, she feels pain. She'll slow down and tire, where as Megaman, a robot, will keep going...and going...and going.

And no, a metroid is also a living organism that can feel pain. Unless they can bite through neo-titanium and endure buster cannon shots, it won't stop megaman. Then there's the giga attack, which charges while megaman is being hit. The more damage he takes, the more power his giga attack charges up. For those that don't know, giga attack is an energy attack that annihalates everything onscreen, save for bosses.

Hmph. Though, Sora could just blast Zell from afar with a few spells, summons, etc. Since those haven't been excluded. Though, Zell could do the same, but Sora is much faster. In both spell casting and movement speed. Especially in his Final Drive form.

Which would practically make him invincible against Zell, who would have to reach a floating Sora, whom has two swords hovering around him, and his constantly casting spells.

I totally agree with Setsumasa. Sora can cut through building with a key. You don't see just anyone do that. And Sora also defeated a gigantic robot thing that was pretty big(I mean like really big). I'm fairly sure Ulquiorra would win this. Vergil can probably take more stabs, but Ulquiorra has far more physical power and speed. In the cutscenes, Vergil's maximum speed is still easily visible by normal humans. Blocking bullets isn't fast compared to Ulquiorra, who has speed comparable to Ichigo. Dante can be injured by normal bullets (although not much, and he heals instantly). Ulquiorra could take a getsuga tenshou without any damage (since he's stronger than Grimmjaw). I don't see Vergil winning unless he's much stronger than his Nelo form.

On 1; it's pretty easy to get loads of orbs. In special edition you have Blody Palace and all the orbs you get there can be used in the story mode as well.

I haven't seen all of Basilisk yet (it's on my to-do list), but what I have seen of it, it's very good, IMHO[1]. You really get a good feeling of tragedy adn loss. I'm sure that I'll be pulling out the kleenex by the time I get to the end. :)

Can Ao Kiji really be considered a villain? He just seems to be the kind of guy that realizes justice can be very brutal. The admiral also seems to turn the other eye when that justice fails.
