If i remeber correctly all Anima has to do is blink to cause instant death.No character is immune to instant death in Final Fantasy if i remember without an item.Not to mention a badass overdrive.

I was unable to find a thread dedicated specifically to this anime in this section, so as having gotten into the anime and currently really enjoying it (despite there being only three episodes as of yet), I felt compelled to make a thread.

A little about the anime: It's apparently the directoral debut of one Mitsuo Iso. I personally don't know who that is, but it might be a point of interest for anyone who does happen to. The series is only at three episodes right now -- the first episode's original air date was May 12th, I do believe.

The anime itself is excellent quality; it's of excellent production and animation, and also, so far, steadfastly consistent in said quality. Some of the better -- if not some of the best -- animation I've seen for an anime that wasn't a movie, or a special OVA or somesuch.

The plot itself is quite different than anything I've seen, personally. While I'm not especially versed and knowledgeable of each and every anime out there, I found this different and quite interesting. So much so, in fact, that I was hooked right from the first episode.

It takes place in a city called Daikoku city, where a layer of "cyberspace" overlays the physical reality, as a sort of "augmented reality." This reality can be viewed through specialized glasses and accessed via physical touch and interaction. The main character is a sixth grader, apparently, and I guess her sort of life and adventures in this city after having just recently moved there. It sort of sounds weird, I guess, but it's got me hooked like a fat kid on chocolate cake after only three episodes.

More than any other anime I've sat down and watched recently, I'd recommend this one. Has anyone else happened to have seen this yet?

3.He can use beowulf to simply pound grimmjow's skull in.

4.He can Devil Trigger and he can use Nelo Angelo

5.For ranged attacks he can use phantom swords,judgment cut,and Nelo Angelo's charged fist.

7.Insane Healing and Pain Tolerance

8.Vergil also has Force Edge a powerful sword in it's own right


Grimmjow has:
1.hand to hand skills but he is no match for the beowulf gauntlets

2.he has his zanpakuto again no real reason to use that thing don't even waste your time with crossing swords with Vergil.

3.He has cero a good defense against his phantom swords

4.His release still wouldn't help him much though,since Vergil has Devil Trigger and Nelo Angelo for powerups.

Grimmjaw would win this pretty easily. He could just fly and continously cero Vergil to death. Also, Vergil's actual resistance to damage is the same as a normal human (i.e. he's cut just as easily as a normal person). It would be fairly easy to lop off an arm.

Vergil, if he continued to get stronger through all the games like Dante, would probably win due to cheap techniques like doppelganger, slowing down time, and invincible "super devil trigger". However, even with Angelo power he is no match.

But Vincent is invulnerable in a lot of forms (chaos, for one.) so it's all good.

And, Anima's instant death isn't that great. <3 resistance.

The only garunteed instant death in FF is Yojimbo.

Interesting, thou I font really get some stuff.
If you wear the glasses, you can see all the cyberstuff, and touch etc them. So if you dont wear them you can't touch them aswell?
Another show that would need a whole lot of explanation that we will never get, or at best, it'll come from a 6th grader girl.
Anyway, its fun, entertaining, the animation is good, and atleast they show that virusscanners and such are slow, dumb and avoidable, just like IRL.

Yojimbo doesn't deliver the only instant kill in FF. There's also Odin and Gilgamesh. I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones I know of.

Invincibility doesn't fly in this section. Besides, last time I checked, all playable FF characters are vunerable to instant death. Also, if you want to bring out the invincible card, then Seymour, being dead already, is invincible. Vincent can't defeat Seymour, because last time I checked, he wasn't a Summoner. So he can't Send Seymour, now can he?

Have you fought Ultima and Omega in FFX? They were extremely easy. Anima, doing 99,999 damage would rape them in a few minutes. They did nowhere near that amount of damage to my characters... who have defense/hp nowhere near his. Besides, game mechanics?

One hit kill? Well, Seymour can't be killed. So, you lose. Who cares if Vincent is invincible. All it takes is a, "Death awaits you.", and he's banished to whereever Seymour sends things when he "banishes" them.

Invinciblity (which is obviously your attempt at making Vincent tougher than he is) aside, Seymour's got this. Anima, for the last damn time, is just the warm-up. Should Vincent survive Anima, he has to deal with several transformations.

We currently have no dedicated translators left for Death Note so it will not be subbed until we recieve a new translator for it.
Kenichi is also stuck with Translation checking, we need translation checkers to view over the translated work and fix the errors.

There are quite a few groups doing Death Note: Animanda, Kuro-Hana, C1, KubuSubs. Kuro-Hana does it fastest so they stand out. Live-eviL used to do it, but not when it was licensed. KubuSubs and C1 just disappeared.

Animanda's being really slow lately. The last episode they released was 31.

This sucks, I just hope they get another translator soon. I want to help but I'm not good enough to be a translator yet :(

I started this thread to see which gender to the anime watchers on here prefer when watching an anime series or if you don't have a preference at all, which is perfectly fine.

Myself, I tend to watch shows with Male leads. It doesn't matter the genre; for some reason I can't get myself to watch a show that has a female lead, which you would think, with me being a girl, that I would at least have a little liking for the female leads of the anime world.

Ishida wins easily, theres nothing for sasuke to copy, no muscle movements to detect, since ishida doesnt do hand to hand, ishida is always at a distance, and most of sasuke's attacks are short to midrange, and Ishida's final form is beyong god mode, it took out a captains bankai in the earlier episodes, and by now he's at least three times stronger than that.

You should read the books then, ofcorse at ep 17 the big changes havn't happend yet in the anime, but the change is greater in the books...
Mainly corse Youko is having way more mental problems, to think one with her personallity would CHOSE to Sleep in the wild fighting Deamons all night for months over human contact, tells just alittle about her character.

Basicly Youko character is way diffrent in the 3 cases we see her:
1) School girl(afraid of normal stuff)
2) "Warrior"(Afraid of trusting people)
3) *******(solved her problems and got a very strong personallity(ps name would be spoiler))
