Well, I saw it and it basically met my expectations. Stupid story, great animation, great music, incredible fight scenes. Hell, the fight scenes alone are worth downloading it. They make the climax of Revenge of the sith look like training sessions. I wonder if it was really necessary to bring Sephiroth back though. Not that I didn't appreciate the fight. They really underutilized Vincent, though. I wanted to see him kick some more ass. Not enough Yuffie or Cait Sith either. :D

I am a huge filler hater. But the filler arc that just finished about the Bikouchuu was good for one thing: developing Hinata as a future kick ass Ninja. Just shows you how much potential she has.
Anyway, i still watch the anime for the hell of it. But yeh, read the manga and all would be fine. Its quite a bit ahead now. Hopefully after the current arc would be nice and show... Kakashi Gaiden damnit.. just start!

i gave up trying to watch naruto when shikamaru's team was trying to get susuke back. it just dragged on and on. the plot was pathetic and to script was soooo lame. the only part of the series i can say i really enjoyed was the zabuza saga. i should've stopped watching it after that and not spoiled it by forcing myself to continue watching in the hopes that the series would get better as it went along.

All of Tessaiga's abilities would be useless against Gutts, as Gutts has no ki/chi/youki/spiritual pressure/whatever. Inuyasha would have to rely on flailing his sword about (And Gutts' sword is bigger, and wielded faster. Hell, the Dragonslayer could most likely cleave Tessaiga in half.)

Sesshoumaru has one arm, and a simple broadsword. Sure, he can project energy with it, and "open a gate to hell" (or whatever the new move is), but he's a demon. Gutts would be all up in his face Arm-canon'ing and slashing away.

and by Zorro, I assume y-- you know it's just easier to say check out Berserk, and be amazed.

ichigo will own naruto. even if naruto is in kyuubi form, even b4 naruto can summon a frog or use rasengan, ichigo will just use his bankai mode and shyunpai to naruto's back and continuous slash him. Even if he heals fast, it still eats up kyuubi's chakra to heal. If ichigo continuously slashed naruto which is possible with his bankai, naruto would just heal till he dont have any chakra on either sides. And naruto cannot stay in kyuubi form forever.

Note: Chakra can use finish but spirit power cannot, unless if the person dies, his spirit power will always be the same

Because I've blathered on about Gutts, and the fact he can use his monster of a sword extremely fast and effectively, I figure I'd post up some pictures showing just how big the thing is.

And he swings this badboy around like an average two hand sword. 7 feet long, 4 inches thick, completely dull yet he swings with such force it can tear things in half. A whole life of training with swords larger/heavier than he is really payed off, cause he can wipe out armies with this thing. Sure, tactics-wise Gutts isn't the best, since his battle plant consists of:

CHARGE IN AND SLASH THE CRAP OUT OF IT. IF IT'S FAST, SHOOT IT WITH MY CROSSBOW/ARMCANON/BREAK IT'S FACE WITH MY FAKE HAND, THEN SLASH IT!

But you'd be amazed how well that works some times.

Actually, after thinking about it a little, even Ichigo can recover from attacks quickly. Zangetsu can heal Ichigo greatly from what would normally be fatal wounds. I am 100% sure that Naruto has better healing abilities, but it is worthy to mention that Ichigo too has some ability to heal in battle.

Naruto has great power, I suppose, but he has little speed in comparison to bankai Ichigo. What can you do, physically, to an enemy you can't even touch? Furthermore, how can you defend against an enemy too fast for you to even see? I don't think we're giving Ichigo enough credit. His spiritual power alone can likely bring many people to their knees. As such, I'm starting to believe that Ichigo could probably beat Naruto.

How could one jewel break into so many shards that are bigger than it[the jewel] and how did the whole world find out about the jewel shards the day that Kagome broke the jewel? Yeah, the first few episodes weren't that exciting, but it gets way better as the series progresses. I love the show since it's funny and the character designs are done well. I pretty much like anything done by rumiko takahashi.

I'm pretty disappointed with the last episode though, it doesn't conclude anything. I hope they make a new season, the manga has progressed a lot since then.

his sword(which isn't sharp dependend on its size) can get through 3-5 men (with platemail armor!!!) with ONE swing, not to mention his mentally to go totally wild.(berserk ^^)

you can totally crush gutts and he will still remain swinging his ass kicking sword at you.

well thats for normal gutts but now imagine Gutts wearing his BERSERK PLATEMAIL, giving him a TOTALLY UPGRADE ... he is such kind of monster i can't imagine beeing a better sowrdsman out there in the mangaverse


edit: ah and not to forget that he COULD 'see' and 'slice' Ichigo since his sword kinda became magic due to his anger and htared, and the demon blood, Gutts story is hard to explain but he lives in a world BETWEEN 'normal human world' and 'demons+ghost world' . His word slays apostels (demons) which are immortal to any 'normal human weapon'

It was almost like they were put in just for the sake of the movie being remotely similar to the actual game. The story line seemed a bit rushed...and what doesn't seem to make much sense to me...is..Sephy is a much better swordsmans than Cloud...so how exactly...did Sephy loose so easily to Cloud? i didn't want to refer the "magic" of the sword to the fact that Gutts CAN SEE astral livings, but the which (I don't recall her name) stated that his word may have become 'magic' due to the apostel blood which it got day in day out and Gutts situation, because 'normal swords of the 'normal' world' wouldn't harm any astral livings at all, so because he took the sword with him to the 'between world' it can harm objects which no normal word can harm, thats why i call it 'Magic sword'.

go with the manga, the anime is a bad done censored little version of the 'backgroundstory' of Berserk

it just covers volume 1-13 and they really didn't do a good job. (left alot out , even essentials characters for further story developing are missing, not to mention that blood and out coming eyes were left out ^^)

the real plot just starts where the anime ends. and the anime can't give you the chills the manga will give you while reading ^_^

To me, theres no way that Naruto can beat Ichigo. Firstly, if Naruto can even see ichigo, 'cause Ichigo's a ghost and all, he'd have a hard time hitting him, even after the 3 years thing. For example, if naruto goes crazy, Ichigo'll go shikai. Naruto with kyuubi, Ichigo with bankai. And Ichigo can one up Naruto by letting out the hollow in him. - ban kai , increases ur speed and str 10 folds

- his busshin no jutsu!
- summoning jutsu (gonna squish ichi >.<)
- rasengan

in conculsion, im guessing ichigo, since he has a advenage, hes like 17? 18? well im guessing naruto is like 15.. or 16, according to the offical naruto book, in the begiining naruto is 12 guessing that hes proberly .... 15, anyways, with his speed, str increaseing 10 folds comparing naruto unsealing his kyuubi, im guessing its different in both animes how u compare there power

Actually Ichigo is 15 and Naruto is about 12 so thers not much of an advantege, but it would be terrebly interrestin to see that fight, cuse they both lose focus when theyre angry, BUT!!! Remember that Ichigo has Zangetsu so hes not fightin alone, Zangetsu always gives him a hand when hes in deep trouble, but on the other hand Naruto has Kiuubi who doesnt trust in Narutos power and sees him as a weak ninja. So its more of a battle of the will and who pushes who beyond theyre peaks. Oh and my character would defenetly kick any of these pansies buts :headbang:

well yeah if you go the way: "anime first , then manga" it will help you to improve your view of the anime, cause you are used to it.

if you read the manga first you have 100% berserk quality right from the start, with all drawing progressing the mangaka made ^^

there are a lot of things which i like in the manga and so i was really frustated when they were left out in the anime(they doesn't really stuck to the manga). also the animation quality isn't that good.

the first 2 1/2 volumes are 'before' the following volumes which are a flashback to see Gutts past, and they were what got me right into Berserk.

so starting with the manga is also possible ;)

...The most messed up anime I saw was called "Ebichu". A perverted friend of mine downloaded a few episodes, and showed it to us. Horrible animation, and it ain't that far off from Hentai.

Basically, a Hamtaro for adults. The "adult" part not really revolving around the hamster, but rather; the hamster's owner. Wierd as hell, kinda funny at parts, but a little too close to hentai for my liking.

Honestly, D-Techno is the best theme I've heard for an anime opening. I love the ending themes for Outlaw Star but they often throw off the show after a cool battle occurs and it ends with peaceful music. I can't recall what the opening theme was though. ^-^;

OOOOOOH I love it. Saw nr 14 today and they reeeeeeeeealy now how to make you suffer (they always quit when you wanna know whats happening). The anime is very good drawn I think and it is something in the style I like. It has very slow tempo sometimes. My computer have a tendence to freeze and sometimes I think it have when it's no music and and nothing moves dang it is so effectfully. Hattori-senpai makes me laugh, and is also wise. ( sometimes I keep wondering if he could have been a much, much younger Urahara.)

yah, I'm sorta like Yamato at those 'heart' matters myself, so it always seems so interesting to watch. One thing I can definately complement them on is their sense of suspence! And I especially love the little melody that comes with the episode title, it sounds so reminiscient.

But I wonder if it gonna be more than one season, animenewsnetwork says 26 eps. It's sad if it ends but maybe good to aaw I don't know anyway I realy like the op n end themes they are so good but the music in the series is very calm you don't notice it at all but it's good as a contrast to other animes like Tsubasa Chronicles where the music is way to in fluencing. Very loud and noisy, I like suzuka better.

I also agree that it's very realistic. The most close to real life anime I've seen (I havn't seen that many but anyway) and I also agree that the recognize factor is very high. You realy understand the situation the ch is facing like you may not do when you see some 10 year old kid meataing a giant mecha saying fufufu and wearing spacy clothes.

I think the naruto fillers is the best fillers. They are realy funny. I generaly think that the ch in naruto is very intresting but nowadays (yes I've seen everyone yet) they are not developing at all. They are not learning anything and the same pattern is repeating over and over again. I was starting to think it went downhill realy fast after 140 or something and the quest they where out on latest sucked so hard. I realy want to like naruto cuz as I said I like the world and the chs, I've had the first 5 mangas but sold em cuz it's expensive and I'm starting to feel that maybe there ain't gonna be better than this and right now it ain't good. But it has potential if they only develops em a little more and tries to not be so lengthy with everything. I still have a little faith in Natte and his friends. But...

Just curious to get anyone's thoughts on Monster. It's actually a very intelligent psychological thriller/drama that plays more like an award-winning tv series than an anime. It's basically about a Japanese neurosurgeon, Dr. Kenzou Tenma. He saves a boys life and then is surrounded by murders that seem very convenient to him. Suspected by the police, Tenma becomes a fugitive and goes on a search for the real killer. And that's all the summary I can give you without giving away anything. ^_^

Anyway, enough of the summary. I think it's an excellent anime... one of the best ones I've seen, actually. It's what happens when the genre takes itself seriously and doesn't fall back on cutesy, big-boobed, stupid, clumsy girls as characters or ridiculously huge power-ups for ratings. What do you guys think?

Have to post my thoughts:

The Battousai is the best swordsman. If at his Battousai form(he would kill anyone), he mastered the Ama Kakeru Ryu No Hirameki he would destroy all. He defeated his master with a reverse blade sword. He hit shishio with a five hit combo including Ryu Tsui Sho Sen, (2 Moves) Ryu Kan Sen Kogarashi, Ryu Kan Sen Tsumuji, Ryu Kan Sen Arashi. If he did it with a katana Shishio would've of been dead, and if not, Battousai would of finished him off completely with his Kuzu Ryu Sen. (RK is my favorite anime right next to bleach).

personally I think that the most pwnage swordsman in anime would have to be Kouga Gennouske from Basilisk NInpoucho Kouga. The enemy's intent to kill, was used against them, by merely looking into his eyes.

but based on sword style istelf, the hero from Ninja scroll, with the godly Iaido skill, can't remember his name...ah yes. Jubei! he might have a chance to beat kenshin.

yeh, that was sorta obvious.

in any case, yes the manga does go on quite a bit further than the anime. Only real problem I had with hellsing is that almost every time Alucard looked around his face lookded different. Other than that though, his pure bad-ass nature rocked on.

The thing is that the rule is 4 both hono n sus. he's in quite a trap. Whatevver he does (cuz I don't think everyone is going to live happy 4 10eps) someone is gonna get burned. You never know but in the intros suzukas friend and some other is there to. Maybe it's not just about Sus n Hon. And what about his friend. he's intresting to, wonder if he finds someone and didn't the loud (and often drunk) one said she had someone but where searching 4 someone (hmm e don remember so well) aww damn good characters anything could happen cuz as we said before it's very real and you never know ho wpeople reacts.
