Interesting, but something inside me is pissed off that American animators cant do the same job. I know Japanese animation is better imo, but this is like America's classic comic. Its shouldnt be shipped overseas to be re-created by the Japanese. Looks like some cashout to appeal to the ever-growing anime crowd.

They didnt want to just make something different, its definitely so that the corporate bastards can roll around in more dough. Its obvious, the Spiderman movies were one of the most successful movies in the box office ever, and with all of the other comic remake movies having massive success (including the Batman one), they decided to do this. Anime has been more popular in ever in America, with more and more kids watching by the year. Now Cartoon Network is filled with anime like Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, Samurai Champloo, GITS (surprisingly i saw that on the TV guide), etc. Knowing that there is a massive crowd out their for kids who will buy anything anime, this movie is a fantastic idea.

Of course its going to be an excellent movie, but quite frankly this movie is extremely offensive towards America. If you told this marketting ploy to anyone who grew up reading all these comics back in their popular days, they would think the same thing. Its disrespectful to our country to sell out this badly. The Marvel, DC, and Warner Bros. comics were an American pasttime that probably rival that of baseball. Just as long as you know this movie is entirely for making big bucks.

I definitely cant wait till this move comes out, so I can download it. If it isnt anything short of great it would be a compete disapointment. Expect high quality with something that should bring in lots of money.

Basically, vote for a character and give simple rational logical reasons why he/she beats the other.


The Gray fox has a katana, and is able to make matrix style flips and dodges, he can block bullets with his sword and his skilled in the art of Ninjutsu (no no the naruto kind) he also has a rocket launcher in his left arm. considring that his body armor can only block bullets for a short while.

Auron is slow with his sword but his ability to do limit breaks gives a wide advantage. Tornado is probably a one hit kill for the Gray fox but the gray fox is faster than auron so he might be able to get the hit in. still Auron's Tornado seems like a guranteed kill.

They stole the power ranger idea, the outfits, the weapons, the corny fighting style and effects and even the giant robots that REAK with "Japanism" and we didnt even give the Japanese credit. Americans just stole the entire idea because they saw how popular it was over in Japan-land.

LOOK AT THAT! Show a 7 year old that picture and ask what it is, hell say Power Rangers, when its actually THE SUPER SENTAI TEAM! Which originally started in 1980 whereas the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers only started airing in 1993!

Here all theyre doing is taking a different spin on things, its not like were SELLING Batman to the Japanese, were just looking at it from a different angle. If all they did was air the same crappy batman cartoons forever, wed all get bored. We need somthing like this to make us think batman is cool again and if that means hiring some anime dudes to make it look more awesome, so be it.

This maybe considered a 'sell-out' but lets face it, we all want to see it. An classic American plot, mixed with some refreshing artistic style.

American writers can flesh out story like the best of them, but we lack the ability to portray that skill through artistic means. I have to say IMO that there's never been an American cartoon, that could out-do the quality on the comic-book. I.e. The Incredible Hulk, spiderman, superman, etc. Just check the difference in the animation, and the actual comic books.

Chris Nolan (director of batman) said so himself. he claimed that in his batman movies there won't be a robin. so if the story between batman begins and the dark knight should be accurate there won't be a robin and since david s. goyer is in the boat i doubt that someone will even bring up the robin idea

As long as Naruto even looks towards Sasuke, he'll be vulnerable to supression. He doesn't need to stare straight into his eyes... otherwise, there would be no need for Guy to develop a style that works by looking only at the opponent's feet. Naruto isn't skilled enough to even hope to do that.

Also, Naruto can't just magically unleash all 4 tails just because he wants to unleash it. He needs to get beaten up pretty badly to reach that point. Given the calibur of his opponent, he would be caught in genjutsu or killed long before reaching that point. He would've gotten killed the first time when Sasuke supressed him, and there's nothing stopping it from happening again.

Also, tailed Kyuubi =/= released Kyuubi. Until Kyuubi actually becomes separate from Naruto, he's always going to be "in his head". The only thing that varies is the amount of control he can exert.

Ryuk telling Light about Penber following him is the same as L using Naomi's suspects before she died. Besides, Light would've noticed sooner or later, its natural human instinct. Without the outside help, both would've gotten no where.

And I do not agree at all that the gap between L and Light is large. They might be on even grounds or the difference in their intelligence can be very small.

Remember, after Light 'gave up' the Death note L put him through a series of tests basing his assumption of Light being Kira off his answers, but Light saw through everything. Example...

L asked Light that if he would take over the name as 'L' if the real L were to die.

If Light said yes, that means he is Kira, but Light saw through this perfectly and explained it to the last detail.

Exactly. Naruto has yet to enter a fight yet from which at the beginning he is already in his tailed form. The only reason Orochimaru even let him go into tailed form was because he was curious as to what kind of power he possesses. I highly doubt Sasuke would let Naruto even move onto the tailed form and let him become stronger.

What we are trying to say is that Sasuke could stop the Kyuubi chakra from even leaking in the first place, thus preventing any tails from forming. We never said that Sasuke could stop a tailed Naruto.

yea, but even though you need to post some reason behind it even if the ansewer is obvious or not.

considring i remember seeing him run at a giant tank thingy and it was shooting at him and his armor was starting to peel off it cannot withstand it for long, but then he took out a rocket launcher and blow the damn thing up.

He got stomped by a giant tank/mech/Weapon of Mass Destruction thingy and survived is impressive that vs Auron getting owned by yunalesca then crawling from zanarkand-Bevelle then died, thats pretty damn crazy. Shooting Star would never hit. The slash itself is quite fast, but there's too much of an opening between Auron reaching GF, and swinging his sword. >: /

Auron isn't a mage by nature either, so he's got no magic. His Break techniques, well, we don't know how that would translate into an actual battle.

The only way he could hit GF (other than GF slipping up somehow), is with his first Overdrive, Dragon Fang. Auron leaps into the air, stabbing his katana into the ground. Then several explosions engulf his target(s).

It looks pretty instant to me, and the explosions seemingly come from thin air. It would probably hit GF, but from what you're all telling me... it wouldn't do that much. The explosions seem rather small, even if they're fast and probably sure hits.

Its also just one blast per target, I believe. Though, if he can hit every target on screen with one use, then I'm sure he could hit one target several times.

Whatever though. I'm a hardcore Auron fan, but he can't win this fight with just Dragon Fang alone. -_-"

I'm glad that Production I.G, Madhouse and Studio 4°C are animating it (hopefully in that order). I will admit i've not seen much of Studio 4°C but I have liked what I have seen. I would rather the producers go to Japan and get well known companies rather than cheaping out and designing their own anime based characters while overseeing korean animators. Christian Bale has even been set to VA the Bat.

This is the animated movie of the year, well unless Wall-E decides to bring out the sledge. But America and Japan actually uniting in their works only holds a bright light for the animation future.
Anime has been more popular in ever in America, with more and more kids watching by the year. Now Cartoon Network is filled with anime like Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, Samurai Champloo, GITS (surprisingly i saw that on the TV guide), etc. Knowing that there is a massive crowd out their for kids who will buy anything anime, this movie is a fantastic idea.
Cartoon Network isn't 'full' of anime. Their Toonami block has been sliced into 2 hours, one day a week. Naruto, One Piece, DBZ, Pokemon, Yugioh GX is all the anime the network plays now. And their jetstream will be pretty bad when you realize MAR is the only show that's going to continue a premiere every week.

And to the AS shows, those have all been their for years now. And yet no blockbusters made their way in 2007, none so captivating that you would remember their names at least.

Finally the actual selling of the anime market in America, sales have gone down from 2006 to 2007. That's perfectly rich! This movie isn't being made to cash in on the popularity, for sure they wouldn't have spent the millions for Satoshi Kon and his brilliant story boards and studios if they simply wanted to milk the Batman's frisk titties.

Of course its going to be an excellent movie, but quite frankly this movie is extremely offensive towards America. If you told this marketting ploy to anyone who grew up reading all these comics back in their popular days, they would think the same thing. Its disrespectful to our country to sell out this badly. The Marvel, DC, and Warner Bros. comics were an American pasttime that probably rival that of baseball. Just as long as you know this movie is entirely for making big bucks.
I definitely cant wait till this move comes out, so I can download it. If it isnt anything short of great it would be a compete disapointment. Expect high quality with something that should bring in lots of money.
If anything, having some of the most popular animation studios in the world to depict their fashion of the world's finest detective made into the next Animatrix, is nothing short of an honor for DC fans.

There's at least 2 ways to beat Grey Fox in MGS. 1 fight him in close quarters and try your luck. 2 throw a chaff grenade as it messes up G.F's cybernetics and temporarily immobilizes him allowing you to pummel into him safely.

well I might as well give my opinion. Well I personally think Grimmjow will win. Although Sesshomaru is very powerful and recently obtained the Bakusaiga in the manga, Sesshomaru can put up a good fight and could probably harm Grimmjow quite a bit in his unreleased state but once Grimmjow releases his main advantage is his speed. Which in my opinion, one of the only reasons why Ichigo beat Grimmjow was that his Vizard Form could match Grimmjow's speed if not faster. But Grimmjow will be too fast for Sesshomaru to handle, but it would definitely be a good fight.

I havent heard anyone say this yet I don't think but I like L better because I believe he is doing the right thing. I usually don't mind rooting for the "bad guys" they are usually my favorite characters in anime and manga (Vegeta, Hakudoushi, Naraku etc.) but Light's approach doesn't appeal to me. Besides look at how he got his father killed and his sister in a wheel chair that doesn't do anything but make you WANT to root for L, Mello, and Near to all catch him at some point.

Well, I've started watching this quite a while back, and stopped at around episode 6. It isn't cause it is bad or anything, I sort of forgot about it.. :p

Though it does have some pretty decent plot, I find it amusing to see the somewhat utopian structure the main characters seem to live in. If you already watched it you get what I mean, with that princess, and the 'purity' thing. Well this was interesting enough to watch, so I do sort of recommend it, now if only I had the time to finish it...

also, with the Red Power Stone transormation, Edward has flight. Now if I understand Captain correctly, he knows how to jump high, but not fly. As well, Edward has Power Explosion and Power Hurricane in addition with his Power Missiles, area of effect attacks that Captain Falcon couldn't easily defend from.

as for general fighting skill, Edward has faced many fast opponents [including Valgas], and still managed to do alright. perhaps I misinterpret Captain's overall speed in the matter.
as for White Power Stone, it was primarily used as a plot power up, but I suppose it could make things moar interesting.

Zaraki can deal the damage and take even more. Kenshin can deal damage as Battousai, but his defense isn't as high. Also, if he starts off normal Zaraki would kill him just for even using a sakabato against him. Kenpachi wins this one.

I haven't seen any "honest to god" fantasy series. From what I've heard/read, Crest of the Stars and its sequels is a great fantasy series. Then there's 12 kingdoms, although that's not what one would consider geeky fantasy.

Well, its not like I NEED to watch something really geeky, its just that I dont really want people recommending stuff like Bleach, Naruto, and FMA and calling it fantasy.

I would consider things like Berserk or the 12 Kingdoms to be pretty fantasy if you ask me. If there were more anime like those, I would love to find them.

I think Ichigo would win. Inuyasha does have impressive attacks AND can somehow survive while having his stomach stabbed, but Ichigo would just be more powerful. Especially with that Hollow side of him!

Not Necessarily...In the manga Inuyasha can go into a purified yokai form if he has a purified jewel shard at the time he turns Yokai or during yokai. And With this it allows Inuyasha to keep his Sanity AND Use the Tessaiga while in Yokai form Allowing his speed and strength to increase exponentially once again and it allows him to use his ultimate technique, The Adamant Barrage alot more effectively than before. I personally think it would be a great fight to see.

God...I agree SO MANY other characters aren't given a fair fight just because since other people know that Bleach characters abilities they somehow completely outmatch the other characters without any analyzation of the other character. It's a real shame actually.

Sure inuyasha characters are undestimated but thats because every other manga/anime is so much stronger than them. though Inuyasha + Pure Yokai form is yokai + tessaiga + strength and speed its still no match for what Ichigo can do to him. Shunpo is probably the main factor why inuyasha cant take out ichigo. Not to say that if Ichigo got hit with Adamant Barrage he would get hurt.


btw: Pure Yokai form = Vaizard Form for ichigo. same damn thing basically.

Wrong. See, you're still underestimating Inuyasha. Yeah, Ichigo wins, but it won't be a 1-hit KO. And also, you need to understand that Inuyasha is NEVER put up against someone he can actually fight.

People need to start using common sense when making these fights. Seriously, read up on the characters. Put Inuyasha against a demon, and they're dead. End of story.

[ultimate]

Yeah the Hellsing Ultimate OVA is pretty cool, too bad it takes so long for each OVA to come out. I have also seen Trinity Blood, it feels like a mix of Hellsing and Trigun. Its about vampires and the Vatican and stuff and set in the future. Its not that great but has nice animation and some good fight scenes.

Theres also Tokyo Majin season 1 which is about high school kids fighting monsters/zombies/ghosts etc. Season 2 I think never got finished subbing. From what I have watched of season 1, it isnt too bad. The fighting scenes are pretty cool.

Another one is Black Blood Brothers which is about vampires too, never got around to finish watching that though.

To be honest I havent seen much supernatural anime since I could never find one that I could keep me watching. The only ones I have seen or currently watching are Bleach, Trinity Blood, Tokyo Majin Season 1 and Hellsing Ultimate so if somebody could recommend me some similar to those I have watched, that would be cool.

Well, there's boogiepop phantom, if you like creepy anime. There is also fate/stay night, though that's kinda mediocre IMO. Hellsing OVA and Paranoia agent are good ones. Though i dunno if Paranoia Agent fits, its more a commentary on normal life, but it has some supernatural stuff i there.

Here are both the Death Note Movies in H.264
Both are from A joint project from Mishicorp and Sars.
The first Movie is a TV rip and the second one is a dvdrip. There is a dvd rip of the first but I can't find it at the moment.
File Sizes:
Movie 1: approx. 400mb.
Movie 2: approx. 600mb.
Notes: The second movie does not contain AAC 5.3 audio. It has been converted to 2ch due to the lack of AAC codec (I'm to lazy to download it...plus the file size gets bigger)
For those who want the movie quick it shouldn't matter anyways.
