Who is the best swordsman?

For me, it's either Zoro or Kenshin. So I chosed Zoro since it sounds like nobody voted for him yet.

and Zoro has one of the best named attacks ever: Oni giri!!
Oni giri translate to "Demon Slash" but Onigiri (no space) is the name of the riceball snack! lol.

I would have voted for one of the Samurai 7 samurai. I would have voted on Kyuzo. For Samurai Champloo I would have voted for Jin.

Hiko > Kenshin.

Kenshin is small and skinny, which are big minuses when it comes to fighting, especially with Hiten Mitsurugi, a style based on physical strength.

He only pwns everybody cause he's the main character.

The reason I didn't put any Bleach characters on there, is because all they do is "Bankai! Bankai! Bankai!"
That isn't sword skill, that is just Bankai spams.

Hiko. It's canon that he's better than Kenshin, and while he prefers KuzuRyuSen, it's not like he can't perform Amakekeru Ryu No Hirameku. He simply doesn't because it would blow any other enemy out of the water. Remember, Kenshin asks Hiko to kill him if Battousai takes over and goes berzerk.

Agreed with Hatorri, but Kenshin gets the vote because when in a serious battle with prized emotions on the line, Kenshin has the better will to live because of his past. So even if he is defeated, his will to live will allow him to go a step further than hiko (see shishio battle).

And he asked Hiko to kill him if his battousai gets out of hand, but in truth in later stages, he becomes even stronger than his battousai stage while still staying in control.

I haven't watched far in OP or Ruroken, so I have no idea what you're talking about, or who Hiko is, or why Zoro is any good.

From those mentioned here I would choose Hiko in my opinion he is better than kenshin and most certainly has more style.


Nevertheless my all time favourite historical swordsmen would be Miyamoto Musashi followed up by Hijikata Toshizo : p skillwise maybe Soji okita was better than Hijikata but Soji wasn't as mad as Toshizo

voted for Archer... cuz it's only name that I could recognise except for kenshin. I haven't seen the rorouni kenshin anime or read the manga, so i wouldn't really know how good he is.

i'll stick with JIN from champloo as the no.1 swordman since they kept him as a real swordsman and didn't have to add specials to make it better.

he's not indestructable as so many others are made to be because of their casting, he's just very skilled and thats kind of what the question is asking.

Out of the people on that list, Sazuka. Kenshin may be able to do major damage, But Sazuka can cut a bus in half with a Bokken.

But overall anime period...Kenpachi. He's a Shinigami, and one of the most powerful to begin with.
