I think you don't have to pay subscriptions for Guildwars. You just need to buy it for 20 dollars or so.

Lol, don't touch WOW. Guild wars is free subscription, you only hazve to pay for the discs, so i would recomend that. Or, check out Urban dead, that is pretty cool.

Runescape :). Half-life 1 Mods are still fun especially Natural Selection. Space cowboy was fun for awhile but its a bit repetitive.

as far as mmorpg's gp, how bout ultima online? the graffics arent the newest but they beat the .... out of runescape and there's a good amount of content...and you can play on a free shard. many different shards for your play interest too, rp, pvp or pvm or both and lots of custom shards with all sorts of things you wont find on the official production shards.

Alot of people like Runescape =( At least it's relatively cheap. It's fundamentally a poor masn World of Warcraft.

I used to play runescape waaaay back (like 2000, when it was just a few small towns). On top of the world, at max lvl (40 at the time) with full adamanite armour. The I come back a few months later to see the map triple in size, lvl cap increase to 60 and inclusion of expensive runeite armour. I guess all that stuff is common now, needless to say I gave up (too flawed, even if free).

Like a few other poeple I recommend Guild Wars, so much stuff to do in that game even after maxing your level. Vast amount of customisation available too. Buy it! :)

Americas Army, free online fps, awesome game, great graphics always updated, im thinking of starting a squad using real army tactics. Either way you should check it out. Its freeeeeee but its a huge download 900mb and make sure you get the lastest version 2.6 dont wanna wait 6 hours for the wrong version like me :)

all other online games are free. you just have to download it, Rakion is new, and then COnquer online also pretty good.

Try Guild Wars and also try Phantasy Star Universe when it comes out. Don't bother with RuneScape as it is weak though not terrible.

I would recommend Guild Wars. Complete that and go buy yourself Guild Wars Factions. It is fun to play and challenging (well, imo).

Become a Mage and U can kill everything with level 5 ....this is a bit exaggerated but U get ma point...

I'd say World of Warcraft, if your worried about the fees than just go out to your gaming store and buy the WoW game card, the only problem is that it expires after a certain date. It's still worth it though.

Do not play WoW unless you can dish out at least 5-6 hrs per day for the rest of your playing life. Play some Gunbound, if you're skilled, only have to play a little bit for the fun, dont have to waste time like the mmorpgs.

World of Warcraft is so over rated it doesn't take much time to get to the max level and then its just runs like any other game to get the best armor. Honestly go for a game that takes time to level up but not to much cause grinding sucks.

It gets repetative at times, I already have 4 lvl 60's thats why I quite playing...

Another good choice would be Gunbound, like said before. Then theres adventure quest if you dont mind playing by yourself, but it's not really fun...and the graphics are sorta bad : /
I dont know if you've played Hero online but it's basically like SRO. Then theres that online Final Fantasy game.
