Death God Costumes (Cosplay)

Well this September in Melbourne there's gonna be a Cosplay convention, so I'm going as a Death God! :D

Thing is, I've heard there are some people who have made a Urahara costume so I thought a Death God costume should be pretty easy. Already made the pants and they turned out faboo! :D

So, anyone else planning on going to a convention as a Bleach chara anytime soon?

Hmm at Supanova Brisbane this year there was a guy cosplaying as Ichigo and another as Urahara. You could pretty much go out and buy black Kendo uniform as thats pretty much what the Shinigami are wearing except they've got an extra white top underneath. The Ichigo guy had a styrophoam(sp?) Zanpakutou as well which was kinda funny when he tried to swing it during the cosplay contest and it broke prematurely (they were re-enacting the fight between Ichigo and Urahara).

Heh? really? in Melbourne??? haven't heard of that. Where will be the cosplay convention? give me the complete address (if possible the train station's name or the tram #), I haven't very familiar with this town especially in suburn. I only know the city and around my university, hehehe.

Yeah, I pretty much scrapped my Urahara costume to go as two Shinigami (one for each day). The costumes aren't really that hard at all, since they're just black kimono with black hakama XD

As for planning on going to a con, yeah, me and my friend are trying to rally cosplayers to form a big Bleach group to out number the Naruto cosplayers. We're still not sure what con to do this at, though.
Either way, I'm planning on going as Shiba Kaien and Hisagi Shuuhei XD

I could probably do Rukia well since I am super short, although I doubt there would be anything in Oklahoma *glares at the hillbillies*.

Thanks for the feedback! I finished my costume today and all I need to find now are a pair of flip-flops and a plastic sword to modify XD I'll post up pics tomorrow of you want to see :)

I've already been to a convention in april and wore my Ichigo shinigami costume and hollow form ^_~
The overall costume was pretty easy, but making the sword hilt/sheath/and belt just right took some time >_>
All came out great and next convention in June I have friends going as Chad, Orhime, Rukia Shinigami, Ishida!!
Series is still new, so not many cosplayer yet, but hopefully will change in the next couple of months XD

human zangetzu: did you use a pattern for the hakama or just wing it since you said you made it......i'm needing to know becuase once i can make a hakama without buying some $20 sumthin pattern off the net I'll be garbing like all my friends out as shinigami like the sort of thing hasuke has in mind.

Sorry this took so long to reply to - I have been having internet troubles.

Anyways, for me, I just took the regular pattern of a jacket and a pair of pants and modified them. I flared out the pants and added pleats on the inside seam, and for the jacket, I just did a normal one but folded it diagonally and cut it to size :)

Well I was planning as cosplaying as Byakuya this year for the Anime Convention this August. Although I don't know if im staying at a townhouse or what.
