Hey i wanted to know whne you seed in it torent what good is it. i ususally download over night and so it "seeds" while i sleep? Does this like keep the torrent active for other users? i remember that animesuki.com says to keep the download window open as long as possible, and i always do? waht is the benifit of seeding and share ratios?

As you said, seeding keeps the torrent active for other people to download it. Usually, the more seeds there is, the faster you download. The share ratio is the amount of data you Uploaded, divided by the amount of data you downloaded. (Upload/Download) For exemple, to have a share ratio of 1, you would have to have an equal amount of Upload and Download.

The share ratio as no real use, except for certain site to determine if you upload more then you download. If you don't they won't let you download files until your share ratio is high enough.So, it's a good thing to keep a share ratio over 1.
