Can you format your hard drive though? Did you back up your files somewhere so it can't be touched when you format your Vista partition?

Vista?! After XP I decided to never get an OS from microsoft again until a service pack or two came out.

Man just format your hard drive. Anything you need to back up such as anime, game save files blah blah jsut burn onto a disk or put onto an external. If you can't even do that then j00 fail at life and everything.

To format your hard drive you just use your windows XP disk and just select boot from disk from the BIOS menu. You'll find more info if you google forat hard drive or something.

well apperently you don't get the point where my disk drives don't work so the XP disk can't become active....very smart XD

P.S. if youre able to counter this.....yes i know i'm dumb....and lack intellegence....

its not working because you probably still have it on "boot from 'harddrive'"
get into BIOS screen/menu then make sure the CD drives are shown there, then select the boot order... make your cpu boot from disk first, insert your windows CD and then reboot :musak:

it has nothing to do with your intelligence you just don't play with your computer in ways we do.

all the information on your hard drive will be lost when you reformat it.

(well its still there[till you write over it] you just won't be able to retrieve it)

is that really what happens??? its still there??? i never know that!!!

anyway, to get into BIOS on laptops is a lil different... try watching the boot up screen closely and smetimes it says... if all else fails, it bounds to be one the F1-F10...

just hit F8 during boot up it'll exit the boot to the bios page.
