Ah yes i ran,
I admit it.
Pulled on my pack,
charged into the sun.

I sought freedom,
but the emptiness came.
I sought escape,
but you cant run from the past.

Running in the rain,
the snow,
the heat,
the wind.

I fear to fall,
when i run,
to fall is to
not get up again.

I didnt have to run,
didnt have to fall.
The obstacles catch you.
Time doesnt run,
It flies.

To run from it all,
I learned,
was to not get to the finish,
but to discover the start.

it has an interesting progression, and a quiet pace, despite it's speed. thank you so much for sharing!

The words made the poem seem fast paced yet the poem in its entirety did not allow us to just breeze through the poem. This poem challenges a view and I like it. Well done,Ice!
