iTune problem

hello. well I have a problem bout itune.
well basically, everytime u hook up ur ipod to the pc, the itunes open and appears the icon of ur ipod somewhere near the "library, my favorite music" and so on. But the problem is the when I hook up the iPod, iTunes open but it doesn't appear the icon of the ipod and I wait like 5-10 minutes to appear but nothing ;_;

some pple say that I have to go to the admin's part, but then nothing happens...so what might cause that problem? :( I really need to know, or else, i'm doomed and I dont wanna ask my friend to pass the songs to my ipod

i'm using XP, that of course, every ipod needs to use that Microsoft >.>

Did you try to reinstall the program? See if that works.

If not, you might have something conflicting with the program.

reinstall
reset iPod

this happens to me too, very rarely, but usually it goes back to normal.

Another thing is to go to apple.com and then update your ipod software or as stated before reinstall the entire thing…
That happened to me and I went to the apple.com update thing and it worked…
Also I therefore had to install itunes again

gah, I already tried to reinstall like 7 times and nothing,
update the program? I did, nothing happened...
and I dont know if a program is making the itune, not to work ;_;
anti-virus maybe? :S cuz I dont know *sigh*

Is ur ipod detected at all or is it only in itunes?

something is conflicting with your itunes, i suggest look around for any programs that have the possibility of conflicting.

well... nope, I dont know the reason why not appearing and plus, I went to APPLE and guess what? they put some songs that I didnt like and I just asked why not appear teh icon on my computer :p: pretty dumb...

somewhere i read some guy got it to work again by using a combination of reinstalling itunes, resetting his ipod and rebooting, dunno if that helps though :S

i'd say reinstall Itunes if its the one not working.
