Hmm otherwise, Ichigo couldn't back to his body (maybe half dead) :redbiggri , he is considered died if he can't achieve his shinigami power (become a hollow) but as he could, then he could go back as a human and also shinigami if his soul being pulled out, that's what I think.

hmm, this question leads to spoilers, the manga hasn't yet told us the truth (I don't know whether you have read the manga up to 176 so I just make it become spoilers), but I have some theory about it, and I believe "SPOILERS"

The truth is "Inside Rukia's soul, there is the thing called "Hougyoku" made by Urahara that being concealed in her soul before he is banished from SS. This Hougyoku could break the limit btw shinigami and hollow so that a shinigami or hollow could become a hollow-shinigami."

The Theory is "when Ichigo take Rukia's power, he's also being affected by the hougyoku; thus, he could become the only one Hollow-shinigami (ch 166) -> that's my theory"

Rukia gets her powers back... but it seems unlikely, because when Ichigo fought with Byakuya and Renji on earth, his powers were Rukia's and now they are lost...
Ishida is able to fight more after his fight with Kurotsuchi.

But there's too much to speculate, so let's all hope that Bleach lasts as long as Prince of Tennis! (<< longest series i've watched so far... 176 eps i think?)

i think ichigo can go back into his body, becuase when he was a shinigami before he didn't have a chain of fate and thusly he could still go in his body.

i think they're going to go back to the ningen world and then a grandfisher arc will happen.

I think that is a little to much maybe like 125 episodes, because I think its gonna take about around 70 episodes to finish the soul society part of the story. Then there would be plenty of more story so he coulf fight the grand fisher and do other cool stuff. :biggrinki

70 episodes!!!! are you crazy? they are catching up quickly with the manga, and they are only at episode 29! I think this story arc will end at around episode 60-70. Not 70 to finish. We'll see though. Who know's how long Tito will stretch it.

By the time he confronts Grand Fisher, he will be way stronger than him, right? So he'll probably go running back to his little hollow world...where no one can follow him. But wait! Ichigo is part hollow (or something like that), right? Well, then couldn't he follow him and kick his butt? (GF will probably get stronger along the way as well though...)

Or how about this for a typical, sappy, expected shounen ending.

Urahara creates a Gigai for Ichigo (Though i'm pretty sure he can return to his body, even though the chain is cut. Then again, Urahara might be examining Ichigo's body to make him one of those perfect Gigai) and one for Rukia and they live happily ever after as normal people.

(though I doubt kubo would end his story like that.)

sound of hollow appears; Rukia and Ichigo aware about this; together they jump the building to kill the hollow; then (last page) close up to Ichigo slashing his zanpakutoh. Owari ^_^

i was thinking about that whole thing with ichigo returning to his body. NORMALLY a spirit cant return if the chain us cut. but he's a death god and was in and out of his body all the time. i would assume since he can move freely as a death god, no real preparations would be necesary for him. rukia on the other hand would need a newer/better/custom gigai since her body is long been dead and gone to dust.

about ichigo returning to his body, remember the anime ep. right before the team went to soul society from Urahara's shop? Back then, Urahara used his cane to separate Ichigo (human body) from his shinigami soul~ so as long as ichigo can get back to Urahara's, I'm sure he can return to his body... since he became a shinigami thru unconventional means... we're all full of questions about the whole hollow thing tho, rite? who knows...

The main problem I have with the series and it being continued is who is there for Ichigo to fight? He's already more powerful then almost everyone and if he beats the Captains in the Soul Society then he should be more powerful then all the hollows since the Captains get there power reduced when they go to the real world so they should be able to beat any hollows they face easily.

hmm, almost but not all, I doubt he could beat Yamamoto genryuusai (spelling) now, but I don't know later. What I know, he is in two pieces in the last chapter ^_^. And we still don't know how powerful the hollows that have shape like human, it's still too early to say that Ichigo could beat all the hollow easily (for ordinary one, yes he will).

He hasn't beaten Aizen yet, I think Ichimaru would be a tuff opponent too... dunno about tousen since he was beaten by Kenpachi, but still.. and then there's yamamoto genryuusai, i doubt he's up to par with the head of the gotei yet... dun worry, i'm sure there are alot more fights to come!

And then there's the thing about ichigo being part-hollow... perhaps when he tries to use his full strength he has the danger of becoming more hollow-like. (kinda like when Naruto runs out of *blue* chakra and then taps into his Kyuubi chakra)

Also, let's not forget the Menos Grande... remember how ichigo almost died last time he was able to give the creep a wound? hehe I'm sure there'll be plenty more ppl for Ichigo to fight... ^_^

I think it's different, Naruto's Kyubi is not his own power, naruto only borrow Kyubi's chakra. Ichigo's hollow is his own power that awaken at the same time as his shinigami power. The same thing is both of them awaken as the owner is at danger time b/c they don't want to die yet.

Here's my version of Bleach (breathes in, breathes out):

Well, Ichigo was running hand in hand with Rukia down the stairs leading from the Tower (forgot the name). Suddenly, Zaraki Kenpachi stopped him and they started a battle. Ichigo lost the battle and he was sent to the 4th squad for healing purposes. That's when Ichigo saw his mom. *touchy reunion scene*. then, rukia's prosecution was being held on that day. When they're about to kill her, aizen steps in and said that it was Byakuya's will to have her prosecuted.

The Kuchikis decided to throw Rukia outta their clan(or whatever). Byakuya was faced with imprisonment. During that time, the hollows decided to use that opportunity to get their prey. All Shinigamis were sent out to the battlefield. That's when the Menos Grande appeared. Ichigo (not so fully recovered) and Kenpachi teamed up to fight it...

Kenpachi sacrificed his life to defeat the Menos Grande. Then, *sad scenes of the Shinigamis crying esp. Yachiru*. Ichigo was appointed 11th squad captain. Now, he has to juggle his skool and shinigami work... FIN...

i tried to simplify the whole thing and i feel like adding that Karin died and became a Shinigami! but nah...

About the grand-fisher, wouldn't it be interesting if he was somehow linked to soul society. like Aizen was using souls or something that were collected by the grandfisher in order to help him reach his goals. just a thought.
