I read all except the latest one from RA Salvatore. Something like Revenge of the white witch? I'm a big fan of Drizzt books. My favorite has to be the very first "Homeland". It's amazing how you can relate, yet not quite relate to Drizzt. How different he is from everyone else and he becomes the best, yet it's not teh cliche "You are the chosen one" :o. I love how RA Salvatore uses his discriptive passages. It's not those ones that I'd like to skip the pages. I like how he explains that "His scimitars swirl around him in a frenzy as if they were an extention of his own arm". The plot itself was very well done. With his love with cattie bri that cannot be. The tragedy of Wulfgar and his recovery. His complete opposite, Entreri. And the mysterious awsomeness of Jarlaxle. And then both who repent and start to change their ways. The books without Drizzt Drizzt that talk mostly about Entreri and JArlaxle are no less fun. Especially when you know Jarlaxle can pull almost anything out of his sleeve.

If anyone read through all of LOTR and thought it was a descent book, I recommend yuo to read these books. I never really read books before, but the summer I discovered these books, I read 16 of his books (about 500 pages on average) that summer alone.

Either start by chronological order of Drizzt's life "Homeland" from the Dark elf Trilogy. Or the first book that was released order, which I think was "The crystal Shard" from the Icewind Dale trilogy.

Havent read much of the FR books. Alot of side-stories from rpg-adventures though. Like how the Shades got their cities floating in the air and stuff. :D

I want to read about Drizzt Do'Urden's life. Its interesting! Cool character as well.

If you want more FR books i believe there's an entire line of books about elminsters young life, how he met mystra and so on.

I read all of war of the spider queen and found it to be enjoyable.

As far as DnD book series go though, I prefer Dragonlance over Forgotten Realms.

Hey RH-man, glad to have found a fellow RA Salvatore fan! I'm a great fan of his books, especially the Drizzt ones, but mostly those featuring all of his comrades as well (Bruenor, Cati-brie, Regis, Wulfgar, the Gutbuster Brigade...).

I reccomend thsees books to anyone who is a fan of LOTR and lkes these kind of stories, because IMHO Forgotten Realms is on par with Tolkien's writing.
