In her reign of glory,
She was resplendent,
Such pure light radiated from her,
Her wings and self showed the signs of innocence.
Yet who would have thought,
She would be tainted with tears,
Tainted with blood,sorrow,
For which only the heavens could see.
Her fate oh so chosen,
This curse cannot be undone.
Hitherto, she lives on,
Her pain and memories keep her going.
She has known many,
Learnt valuable lessons of love,
Friendship,family,independence,
From these people who have long passed.
Her vision of the right path,
Draws near, or fades away,
Yet she continues this journey,
To search for her calling.
On the way, there were those who,
Tortured,abused,loved,cherished,
Gave meaning to the word 'hope',
Filling up only a small part of her.
Tragedy takes up her heart.
Yet she can smile, enjoy simple things,
For that time when she needed it,
It took her away from that easy path known as death.
She has risen and fallen,
That is her destiny,
After all she's been through,
Her broken wings lay limply on the ground.
But those broken wings heal themselves,
And she flies again into the sky.

A poem I felt, brought on a lot of meaning. This poem was influenced by Emmasu's poem 'My Heart', BeeCrest's poem 'Fly High Angel' and the song 'Broken Wings' by Tomoko Tane.
