Wanted to post this poem. I made it awhile ago and really like it but i got 0 comments on it and im pretty sure thats because of the length. So im hoping itll do better in a thread its own.

Loss of love and Legend

The pale morning glory
Shines down from above
Only the moon
Knows of my song of love

The dark hanging ivy
Brushes my pale white face
And of my tears
It finds not a trace

The glowing green mountains
Yes call me to her
I wonder If she
My call has heard

My blue eyes do sparkle
My grin does fade away
For so many miles
Separate us this day

"Sir" says the soldier
The front line needs you
First yes it seems
This I must get through

The swords do ring
The shields do gleam
We ride out in force
Yes glory we’ll bring

My men are dying
But then we arrive
Strong as a whirlwind
There forces we divide

The music does play
The angels do sing
Heroes are made
Weapons do ring

The New Dawn Army
Lets out a yell
Forever we'll be remembered
Our stories they will tell

My men all go
But I stay behind
Sun Shield castle
Calls them home to unwind

I look at the carnage
And I think of you
What you would say
What you would do

And then a sight
That sends chills to my bones
A man stands up
An arrow he hones

Despair sends me down
To the pits of hell
I cannot die
For you I’ve fought so well

I want you so bad
I need you so fierce
The arrows a flying
My heart it will pierce

My swords comes out
From their sheaths
Explosion of emotion
The arrow doesn’t reach

For I cut it down
My love wins the day
My skill reaches new heights
More stories for them to say

And my heart leaps with joy
For I’m still alive
A chance to see you
A chance to survive

And then they ride up
My worst nightmare right there
A party of soldiers
A red flag they do bear

They see me and come
Yes bearing down
With all of my skill
I leap from the ground

Behind a man I go
Right onto his horse
A sickening crunch
From me no remorse

I charge and I fight
My swords they do weave
A pattern of death
No one can touch me

Slice to the neck
Another does fall
Cross through the side
He’s out of it all

I kill and I kill
The men are all stunned
A god of war
Has descended from above

Finally I’m caught
In a circle of men
Oh my true love
Will I see you again?

Our horses all pant
We grimace and stare
A man rides up
With red beads in black hair

"Oh mighty man" He says
"We have to kill you
Unless you will surrender
And join the Red Guard too"

My mind in confusion
My heart, oh so lost
I want to see my love
But betrayal it will cost

I think of my men
What we’ve all been through
The hope that we share
The dream that we grew

Oh my sweet love
Please forgive me
I just can’t surrender
So angry you’ll be

With a small smile
From thinking of you
I say "I cannot comply
After what I’ve been through"

With a frown, and a tear
And a shake of his head
The man with red beads
Says "What a man you must have been"

His hand goes down
The men all draw back
They ready themselves
His heart his hand does tap

The arrows they come
Yes straight at me
I block one or two
Get hit by two or three

The second wave comes
But I block them all
As the pain does grow
I scream "I'll miss you my love"

The final blows come
From my horse I fall
My eyes slowly close
My hearts in withdraw

Oh far away
My love does scream
The whole world does echo
My death the world rings

The passing off a legend
The loss of a loving man
Men all in tears
Women on knee and hand

The whole world does tremble
My heart though dead aches
Its time to move on
Time to accept my fate

The pale morning glory
Shines down from above
My life has been ended
On these fields soaked with blood
