King AMD is dead after a nice 1 year run. Intel's new Core 2 Duo cpu's will soon be in systems all around the world and the current benchmarks says that Intel will be king for quite a while.

How does a midrange Core 2 Duo cpu beating AMD's flagship cpu for half the price sound?

I'm an AMD fan, but I can't help but admit defeat. But something even more surprising is about to happen; Intel's Quad Cores will be released early next year. WTF?!

Sadly, I dont know about any new processors released by Intel or AMD, and my PC is only Pentium 4. I like AMD too but since Intel has gotten a hold of me since the dawn of computers! Intel FTW!

AMD will always beat the crap out of Intel and thats final. Sure, Intel release what they think is a mega great triumf card, but AMD is working on a Quad core CPU as well that will be released nearly at the same time as Intel's (if not sooner, maybe Xmas). So i can take it that Intel can have the view of the best for half a year to be pushed back when AMD releases theirs.

And myself who uses My computer mostly for games, Maya (3D program) and PS will always use AMD beacuse they are better at those sort of stuffs.

I hated the core duo release but core 2 duo's look good.

and if the four cores keep the same relative spec's AMD will need to pull a rabbit out the hat to not get snowed under.

lol werent adobe products like photoshop tend to favor Intel than AMD? AMD Reigns in gaming definitely. Hope to see duo core in action. Arent those release in august? I'm quite lazy to check and I hope my friend is a good source xD.

Even with a lower clock speed, which can be solved with some OCing... the 4mb cache is really something versus the 2mb, performance in all areas are greatly improved... which great beats AMD

i believe the overall performance is better by 10%
