What does Byakuyas 2nd form Banakai do?

Byakuya second form bankai (the one with the pink swords that surround him) doesn't seem to do anything special, does it increase his speed, his strength or what?

Also wat does his white imperial sword form do?

his 2nd bankai split in to countless swords and bayakuya uses them one by one instead of splitting them all and the dragin is just the final attack and it simply gives him power

I'm pretty sure he can also command those swords at the same time as he could the petals. It's probably what he did to Renji to end their fight.

yea... thats wat byakuya said too... and the white imperial sword just increases the attack even more... sort of combining all the swords together for a final attack...

well anyway his 2nd form while in bankai mode i think is some kinda like tousen bankai but with alot more offense than defense. i makes the enemy think that byakuya has gotten stronger and faster but in all actuality it is you that has become slower and weaker. i think its something like that

His second bankai form increases his ability to inflict fatal wounds on his opponents by abandoning defence and going for full blown power.

I just re-watched the episode. I'm not 100% sure on this, but based on what I observed, Byakuya's bankai doesn't have the ability to drain reiatsu, it's just that Ichigo was getting weaker and slower due to prolonged use of his own bankai.
