Hell, he looks like he has more experience than all the other captains combined. IIRC, against Ukitake and Kyorakou (sp?) they expected to lose.

lol this isn't even a question. the maker of gotei 13; who could take on both shunsui and ukitake fighting hitsugaya? i'm a big fan of hitsugaya, but i admit hitsugaya is one of the weaker captains. he's young and still has an undeveloped bankai.

besides, even if both of them had the same power level, the fire would melt the ice.

I couldn't vote, but I would say Hitsugay because he is 1.) A genius and 2.)Water/Ice oriented.

A lot of people seem to think fire would beat Ice, but that makes no sence. Even if the Ice melts it becomes water which smuthers fire into non-existence. Plus Hitsugaya is not JUST Ice but also Water. Meaning if the ice melts he still controld the water. Sure the old mans good and prviding they both used fire or both used ice then he would win. But Fire can't beat ice.

Yamma Jii probably has a load of high level Kidou spells to use on him as well. I mean, he's been around for thousands of years! He probably invented Kidou for all we know...

Hitsugaya is a kid, plain and simple. I would even bet that his Bankai could not put a scratch on Yama Jii. Yama's shikai was enough to take on the two strongest captains (speculatively, they've been around alot longer then everyone else) without getting any serious dammage, while dishing out a ton in comparison.

Hitsugaya is impressive, but obviously has the shortcoming of a total lack of strength. Im not saying he's a pathetic weakling or anything, he just cant slug it out like the other guys. He might be able to out think *some* of the captains, but not Yama Jii.

Yamamoto would win. If I don't remember wrong, in one episode they said that the 1st captain's reiatsu is as strong or stronger than all the other captains combined. so I really don't think hitsugaya has a chance against that ^^
