Do ppl change in SS

when the ryoka first defeated jindanbou... the rukongai ppl came out and chado met shibata...a bald guy came up and said "ah yur home yuyuchi"
he mentioned tat he died in 1947.He did not change

As for rukia and renji,they changed in looks...renji's first meeting with rukia...compare with the part where rukia said "lets become death gods,renji."

maybe only people with high spiritual pressure change, thats why Rukia and Renji change but that one kid didn't ? just a thought

What would make sense to me is this:

At one point someone explains that you only need to eat if you have a high spirit power and make use of it. If one needs to eat because you have a high spirit power, it would make sense that this would promote growth. So in a way I suppose that Spirit Force has something to do with it…

There are also a couple of theories about aging in SS. I think that it is possible that one ages in SS, though dramatically slower than on earth.
