Just out of curiosity... if you had to choose any minor character (from Bleach) or another anime character, to be a Shinigami, who would it be and why? + special powers?

I would personally choose Ururu, who would still have her oversized rocket launcher as her special Zampaktou. Her bankai would involve a cool outfit (like Ichigo), and a samurai sword, which makes cut wounds explode shortly after, as if it were laced with gunpowder. I mainly would choose her just so I can hear her say "Bankai"! :D

I would have loved to have seen Tatsuki become a protege of Yoruichi. Tatsuki already has hand to hand fighting skills and would have been a lot more useful in the Soul Society arc and the new manga arc than Chad and Orihime were. The introduction of Soifon could have been finding out about Tatsuki and kicking Tatsuki's ass to the point of almost killing her at which point Yoruichi saves Tatsuki and we have the fight they had with each other but it now has another layer of jealousy and abandonment.
Tatsuki could have learned lower tier abilities of shunpo and eventually reach shunko and have a rematch with Soifon. Wishful thinking and probably won't happen ever. < Sigh >

I agree with gdo01. Tatsuki would've kicked ass if she was in the Soul Society arc. I bet she would've learned shunpo quickly and other skills. She does have the potential (well, I think). I don't read the manga so I don't know if she's involved anymore than this, but I hope she has more of a role later on.

Yes, she would. She would have done well beside Soi Fong and Yoroichi... Like a disciple, shall I say, and learn different techniques. Although she isn't shinigami...

i would actually love to see kon(w/ a stuffed toy body) being a shinigami! his zanpakuto should either be small to be proportional with his size(a mini-zanpakutoh!? i like that! XD) or something with the same size as any normal soul slayer! [i wonder how he would carry a soul slayer that's larger than him!] :D
