Yeah of course, it's quite a popular game. Although the next 'Tales of...' is comming out(Abyss), Symphonia still has it's own greatness all around.

ToS fandom is actually still growing, even with other games out. NOw that I think about it, I've only gotten 5/9 of the chracter endings, heh. I remember there was a period where I got really good with the game that I was able to beat it once every week(Hard Mode, but not Mania...:eek13: ).

I played twice, I only had it for a week.
Chrono Cross was the best RPG made for any system, every.
I played through it 12 times on one game.
Then another 7 on another game.
Well, ToS maybe tied it.

Tales of Symphonia is THE best RPG out there for the GC. I've only replayed the game once. The chibi type artstyle was really cute.

As far as I know, there are people who dislike the game. Why? It is simply for the reason of the battle system. Remember, this is not your local turn-based RPG, so many gamers are not used to this style of playing plus, the graphics you either love or hate it, so if you are a type of person who hates graphics like that, there really is no helping that.

Does anybody control a chracter other then Lloyd in their battles? It's somewhat different, I use Spunky Mage as main control-character throughout most of my games, although timing the spells were difficult.

I liked this game a lot, prolly the second best rpg I ever played
The battle system was nice too imo, made the leveling up less boring

@MC: most of the time I played Lloyd, but I switched to Kratos or Zelos sometimes

It's not the battle system I disliked. It was the fact that every little choice you make, something big happens in the story line.
You save the princess, I never get to use Kratos again even though hes my favorite character. How are they relevent!!!
I never got the story like I wanted it, to many secrets are way to easily missed and you can never get them again, the method of getting to summon is stupid and I was neevr able to get to play as Kratos again. Plus I was spoiled to many things by my dad. Mainly my problem was I was never in control.

but to stay on topic yeah I've played "Tales of" games which are ALL about the action RPG aspect which makes them very unique and also very challenging sometimes the stories are too familiar but hey It's kinda like my Elder Scrolls games familiar storyline but great gameplay

Tales of symphonia is my favorite tales game.it has an interesting story which is a must for any rpg to be good.The graphics were'nt a big deal I think they suited the game just fine and finally the battle system I loved how it was open and you could run anywhere within the battle.

yh it not like other rpg that u dont c the monsters u walk like 3 steps then u fight a monster but on tales u can actually see the monster

I used Zelos.......Zelos =pwn I wish you could`ve had both Kratos and Zelos but if you had Kratos Zelos dies.......ddammit!and my party mainly was Zelos,Lloyd,Regal,and Presea

I never did bother with beating up Abbysion with one person, takes too much time and such, I usually don't enjoy the fight with him anyway. What and did like what SD3 fight on mania though, haha that battle seemed more fun to me.

Oh, did anyone try the trick where you can bring out the Eternal Sword into battle? I have yet to try it, and a little too lazy currently.
