Do we need to include certain things or characters in the banner or just anything Bleach related?

You should include a Bleach Character. Remember that it needs to fit the skin shown in the entries thread.

This contest is a great idea. Is it too late for me to suggest something like pick the top 3 and set up a rotating banner? Becuase I feel some of the artists we have here are so good it would be a shame to only get work up there by one person.

There may be a possibility of using another artist's work for another of the new skins :) Focus on this one for now.

If I have more than 1 version, am I allowed to post the other versions or am I only allowed to submit 1?

You can submit as many versions as you like. Bad news is that - you know how I said the above colour scheme was subject to change? Well, we have a new and more likely contender for Default Skin, which has a different size. What this means is that if there is more than one entry in the original dimensions, we will pick the best and use it for the skin shown (we are getting more than one skin) - or even use both if we have 2 skins with those dimensions and the banners are of a high enough quality. However, I will be listing a new specification in the Contest thread for the default skin, that is the one which shows up to new users.
Sorry for the inconvenience. If you have already made a banner in the old specification, PM it to me and it will be submitted. I am going to lock the contest now until we decide absolutely what will be our default skin.

Just an update on this:

We are still working on finding skins that work well with this version of VBulletin as well as with all the modifications installed on Club Bleach.

I haven't forgotten about this contest, rest assured that as soon as I have permission from DB it will start again :)

Ok, the Jigglypuff skin has been deemed ready. I will post the new specification on the contest thread. You will be making a banner for this new forum default skin :) [hopefully it should be set as default by the time you read this]

Height given is simply the size of the box at the top for the banner which you can presumably see yourself... I'll ask the admins if there's a way of changing its size but I suspect not. If your banner is too big and we still want to use it then we will most likely crop it for you :p It is preferable however that you crop it yourself and keep within the size limits.

I asked DB and the answer is no, the banner cannnot be bigger than the stated size. Sorry Legend :(

If you are certain that the forum will adapt itself to the banner size then you may submit a banner that is smaller in terms of height; however, if the forum does not do this then we will not be able to use it as the admins are very keen to have no white space around the banner.

Hmm.

I would say yes, provided it's not an obvious and nasty plot spoiler. Avoid anything that would spoil the plot for someone midway through watching the anime either. So Aizen in evil guise would be fine, but Aizen stabbing Hinamori or something would not. Basically, you can use any characters you like frovided their presence or appearance does not make plot details apparent.

And im entering...Now that i have GIMP..and i've got everything else ready as well as having poured over the critiques for PS and against Gimp and so on i'm using GIMp..
