We play this life like a rehearsal
pretending we dont see the puppets
like i see the people
dying in the streets

The dying is not of the body
but of the heart
a hope lost
love replaced by money

the kids play the game
but no more for the reason
the rhyme was lost
its time has been forgotten

but some still play for love
lest we play for nothing
for whats left when we die
left but an everlasting soul

if love was everlasting
then love exists
if souls were everlasting
then forget your money

Because death takes us all
but will it take your everything?
will it take your heart
and its ever lasting love

The world is in a rush
but why do we rush
when we have nothing to get to?
some believe we have nowhere to go

If we go somewhere
would you want that love?
perhaps love is everlasting
money can have my grave

You have such a gift with words! I think I'll stick to my fantasy writing because I doubt I'd be able to best you in a word battle! You're one of the few people that see the world as it really is.

Another great one Ice! It has a wonderful meaning to it as well. I think this one is one of my favorties of yours so far.
